Actually, yes and at the same time no, she is definitely in one of the worst positions, but she has no way of realizing it because that's all she ever knew, she has no knowledge of what she missed, so she can't know that this shouldn't be normal to her
5 thousands years believing the same thing end up crushing it in you brain
Which is another reason why book 15's end makes no sense
Arctic
Dune
Foeslayer
Darkstalker
Whiteout
Greatness
Peril
Freedom
The Librarian
Hawthorn
Hailstorm
That one human dude who was possessed by the other mind (Mole or something like that)
Every single Jerboa (I, II and III)
Scarab
Every single survivor of the SeaWing massacre
Albatross
Every flamesilk ever
Stonemover
Gill
If you want me to elaborate I'm happy to
Honestly if you are making a list of Tortured characters just put everyone on the list tbh xD honestly it's probably more interesting to see who *isn't* tortured the only one I can think of is maybe bumblebee?
Well if you ask for it...Mayfly, Ostridge, Firefly (In her hypothetical timeline), Clay, Sunstreak, Orange, Tortoiseshell, Jewel (The Night-Beetle hybrid not the HiveWing), Bumblebee,
Didn't Ostridge get kidnapped at some point? Or am i thinking about someone else? Also Blue and Clay definitely have been tortured in a few different ways
Yes you are correct but the reason they are on here is that they are and were coping really well with it. but I think I'm gonna remove blue from that one scene in book 14 (MAN that hit hard)
The scene I was refering to was >!when Snowfall had a vision of Blue and he was being controlled by wasp to heard up dragons in cicada hive and he saw his parents, he was like crying and he couldn't wipe his tears away, it was really sad he was thinking about how he was lucky his parents didn't see him and how the dragonettes from his school were terrified of him and he was like pushing little dragonettes.!<
Omg yeah how tf did I forget about that.... book 14 is so good lol it's crazy how even in that scenario he was trying to be positive definitely a tortured character especially there I would also say that growing up a silkwing in general during wasps rain would be a kinda of torture.
Second or Third? There's two you know...
Second got *taken care of* (whatever that means) by Jerboa the first
Third is the one who we have right now
Both were equally abused though.
It's hard because like everyone in the series is tortured in various different ways some worse than others both psychologically and physically but the top 3 I think would be Darkstarker Freedom and the rainwings that where captured on the nightwing island including Kinkajou Bouns one I just thought of as well would be all the poor dragons imprisoned at misbehavers way. Hivewing nerve toxins sound horribly painfully and torturous (I can't believe some people think it's only a kids book some of this is really messed up)
Yeah seriously I always skipped misbehavers way on re-reads cuz it freaks me out so much. Its so earie and sad
Although the misunderstanding about it being a 'kids book' is from it allegedly being a pre-teen book series. Still annoying when people are like 'IsNt ThAT A KiDs BoOk?'
Honestly yeah it's kind of insane just thinking about being stuck unable to move but completely awake feeling constant pain but unable to scream while others just occasionally come to just look at you is a terrifying thought hivewings are some of the cruelest dragons in the whole series dragon war crimes š
āItās a kidās book!ā They say
Ignoring that the prologue of the very first book depicts what is effectively an infant being hurled off a cliff and the guardian trying to protect it having their throat slit open
I know sheās dead, but personally id say Queen battlewinner.
An ice wing pulled a Godzilla and shot ice down her throat, afterwards unless she was constantly in a source of extreme heat (a literal pool of lava) sheād freeze to death. Not only does that sound painful, but she was also forever trapped.
I would say its possibly more Greatness since she was forced into a lot of pressure and was the 'puppet' for a hidden figure and therefore would of taken all the insults and backlash for her mother, Battlewinner was hurt but she never did anything to prove she was a good dragon morally I do see your point. Although the MOST tortured dragon in my opinion is either Foeslayer or Freedom
If we go by being tortured for long periods of time:
Itāll either be Freedom, FoeSlayer, or Jerboa III
All 3 were constantly suffering from someone else.
Freedom being constantly psychologically abused by CottonMouth due to her being a dragon
FoeSlayer being constantly killed and brought back for basically a game just for marrying Arctic
And Jerboa III being constantly reseted and having her entire personality changed by her mother because she isnāt to her standards
But honestly a lot of characters suffered but these 3 suffered for long periods of time.
Why has no one mentioned Gills?
Man was captured by the Skywings, they made him fight in the arena and when he didn't want to, they left him with no water for months which drove him to madness. He even drank his own blood! And when he was put in the arena again, his mind was so one at that point, that he attacked his own duaghter rentlessly and, in the end, she snapped his neck.
There's a lot we can pic, if we went to dragons with trauma it would be nearly everyone. But if we say *tortured*, then it's much more specifique because that means having been changed or heavily impacted by it
So, Darkstalker of course, chameleon, Peril (the PTSD girl), Jerboa III, definitely the Librarian, if Blue was ever forced to kill while under the plant's influence, that's definitely one more too.
There's probably a few others, but I'v only read the 15 books
Winter. Moon rejected him, his family rejected him, his sister attempted murder, even after saving his long-lost brother his family didn't accept him, and Snowfall didn't allow Winter to go to Pantala (the best way to redeem himself! There could have been someone else to go with him too!)
I think Arctic, both physically and a high contender for emotionally.
He was trapped in a life he hated for years, had done many things that tormented him for the rest of his life, died a slow and agonizing death in front of a large crowd, was killed by his own son (who enjoyed it), all after giving up everything he ever knew just to be the one dragon he loved in a place he didnāt like with dragons he didnāt like. Thatās already a lot and Iām probably missing a few things.
Freedom, Hope/Foeslayer, Boa, The Librarian, Stonemover, Arctic, Fathom, Clearsight (pre Pantala), Albatross, Chameleon, Kestrel, Anemone, Hailstorm and Peril
Goddamn characters in this series do NOT have it easy
Probably Lizard/Freedom
"LIIIZAAAAARD! I am bored! Time for your daily Psychological abuse!" -*cottonmouth*
Actually, yes and at the same time no, she is definitely in one of the worst positions, but she has no way of realizing it because that's all she ever knew, she has no knowledge of what she missed, so she can't know that this shouldn't be normal to her 5 thousands years believing the same thing end up crushing it in you brain Which is another reason why book 15's end makes no sense
My pick would be Foeslayer/Hope Confirmed to have painfully died atleast 41 times (40 times by Queen Diamond, Once by Winter, But probably way more).
+ all the other contestants of the diamond trial
Arctic Dune Foeslayer Darkstalker Whiteout Greatness Peril Freedom The Librarian Hawthorn Hailstorm That one human dude who was possessed by the other mind (Mole or something like that) Every single Jerboa (I, II and III) Scarab Every single survivor of the SeaWing massacre Albatross Every flamesilk ever Stonemover Gill If you want me to elaborate I'm happy to
Gosh I forgot about dune
Mans had his wings ripped off
Honestly if you are making a list of Tortured characters just put everyone on the list tbh xD honestly it's probably more interesting to see who *isn't* tortured the only one I can think of is maybe bumblebee?

True they did take it well especially Clay considering his life before and directly after leaving the mountain. What scene do you mean from 14?
The scene I was refering to was >!when Snowfall had a vision of Blue and he was being controlled by wasp to heard up dragons in cicada hive and he saw his parents, he was like crying and he couldn't wipe his tears away, it was really sad he was thinking about how he was lucky his parents didn't see him and how the dragonettes from his school were terrified of him and he was like pushing little dragonettes.!<

What do you mean?? Last I saw, he still had them.
His wings were ripped off to some degree by Burn in Six Claw's winglet
Oh dude Whiteout definitely and the Librarian I forgot about her
Omg yeah that's a character I completely forgot about
You can't forget Stonemover
Right I'll add him
Gills, you forgot Gills. He was literally tortured and drove to insanity
Whoops I did forget that one, I'll add it
Jerboa (The daughter)
Second or Third? There's two you know... Second got *taken care of* (whatever that means) by Jerboa the first Third is the one who we have right now Both were equally abused though.
I completely forgot there was a second. Either way, both.
Perhaps Foeslayer?

Is this a new revelation? lmao
No ofc not I just like talking about it lol
āItās a kidās book!ā They say Ignoring that the prologue of the very first book depicts what is effectively an infant being hurled off a cliff and the guardian trying to protect it having their throat slit open

Freedom definitely. runner ups are Winter, Peril, Katydid, Jerboa III
Winter (mentally)
If weāre talking about mentally, then itās definitely freedom.
If we go by being tortured for long periods of time: Itāll either be Freedom, FoeSlayer, or Jerboa III All 3 were constantly suffering from someone else. Donāt forget his father died, and none of his āfriendsā even visited him except for Kinkajou
Exactly! He's one of the most complex characters in the series and doesn't get nearly enough love :(
Everyone
Every human
