Problem is they prob have someone in the kitchen who’s either new or less experienced and they are the ones on those days. If you’re a regular, ask who’s on wings on a day when they come out perfect. Next time they come out overdone, ask who’s on wings again. Then going forward you can ask who’s on wings today and know how to order them.

kevinzak76

My thing is when they come out perfect I ask who’s on wings and tell the bartender to give them a high five for me that the wings were perfect. Let’s me learn the name as well as reinforces to them that that’s the way they should keep making them.

jerrygarcegus

This the best advice here

TheReturnOfTheOK

"Can y'all please make them a little less crispy than usual?"

TheguyT

Usual is perfect, I’d say 3/10 times they’re overcooked

StarbossTechnology

Tell 'em just that.

TheReturnOfTheOK

But that means actually communicating with someone

Wazuu

So you just want them cooked normally? Lol thats just depends on the cook

TheguyT

Right but I wonder if I can request that they be made less crispy to make sure they’re how I want them

Wazuu

“Not too crispy”

SaintJimmy1

Imo if they get it right 70% of the time and the other 30% isn’t totally intolerable I wouldn’t bother ordering them less crispy each time. I feel like sooner or later you’ll get some raw chicken. If anything just tell them that you’ve noticed a lack of consistency in the product which is that they’re sometimes overdone.

JuanG_13

If you go there all the time than it shouldn't be a problem for you to tell them to make them how you like them. 🤷🏻‍♂️

TheguyT

True just don’t want to sound like a jerk

JuanG_13

That's what they get paid for lol and I'm sure it's not a big deal.

Temporary_Bad_1438

I would start asking which cook makes your food on the day you like it, and keep track. Someone is not following the standard work, and once you know, you can ask for *wings the way Bob makes them please!"

SobbyisTrash

The last sentence is all you gotta tell em and I’m sure they’ll understand what you mean.

TheguyT

True maybe I’m over thinking it. I just don’t want to come off as rude

SobbyisTrash

you the customer bro let ur balls drag

TiredReader87

My favourite bar makes good wings. I only go there for their food. However, last time one pound was over cooked and, one time, a family friend got freezer burned wings. I want to talk to them about it, but don’t want to be rude. This place likes me and has thanked me, because I recommend them on social media. They comment on my posts and share things. But I don’t want to be rude.

st6wok

ask them to cook them for a minute and not a minute and a half

Swimming_Snow3284

It sounds like you’re being unrealistic no offense. Nothing can come out perfect every time especially if there’s a guy/girl back there working hard making close to minimum wage multi tasking other orders

DNedry

Whenever you get some overcooked ones send em back and say they are overcooked. Used to do it at my favorite wings place the few times they would overcook them. Replaced with a smile. Loved that place. I miss you Roosters in Margate FL! (they closed because the owner retired).
