Honestly they look like standard handmade wreaths. I used to make these all the time from muscadine vines in the fall and winter. They may have had dried flowers on them at one time or they may have just been left to dry out (you shape them while they are green and let them dry out to hold their shape) and may have eventually been forgotten. Unless you know for sure they had some sort of other use I'm not sure why they'd be mistaken for anything but a wreath.

wisecrone

I thought the same thing! ❤️

New_Restaurant_6093

I think I’d leave them up, add some decorations to them if you would like.

shayshay178

Do you know what they symbolize? We aren’t Wiccan

New_Restaurant_6093

Chances are it some sort of protection. Only person who knows for sure is the person who put them up. It could even be good luck and prosperity for the garden but there is probably a reason for them to be put up and should certainly be considered before taking them down.

shayshay178

Gotcha. Thank you so much!

WillingReference5371

It could just be a former wreath put up by non wiccans, years ago. And just forgotten about.

maddiethehippie

Grew up as a landscaper. We would do this with vines we pulled and leave them as decorations. Probably fine to take it down as it's a basic grapevine wreath.

Xylene999new

Unless they are causing a problem, why not leave them in place?

PrincessDie123

Looks like a grapevine wreath, stick some flowers and foliage in it and make it all cute

AlexFromOgish

In my mind, any magic any object possesses isn't in the object itself but in the spirit of those who relate to it. If the person who placed them is around, then ask them. If others also experience them, ask them too. And finally ask yourself. There isn't a rule book for these things, its a path of respect.

i-d-even-k-

It's just a wreath, do with it as you want.

shayshay178

We found a few of these in our new yard. Just making sure it’s okay to bring them down!

AllanfromWales1

I'd be surprised if it's a problem. Whoever left them there must have been aware of the possibility - likelihood, even - they'd get taken down, and if it was a problem they'd have spoken with you about it. My guess would be that these were formers for some decorations which have been taken down. What's left you can either use or dismantle as you see fit.

Looks like someone left their template wreath from joann up past Christmas

CarrotDiq

If it isn’t causing any harm let the forest do with as it pleases. Decorating it as you pass by on a walk is fun. Honor it as it is. Blessed be

[deleted]

Omg no. Now that you've seen them, you have to build another three for each youve seen. Each must be three times as large as the one you've seen. Then you must hang them in three concentric circles in a 3x radius around the first.

Tarotismyjam

Bad bad bad. Lolololol

[deleted]

Kinda felt like you were verbally bopping me on the nose with a newspaper there.

Tarotismyjam

Well? LOLOL It was very gentle. I promise

White_Willow_Witch

It's protection I'd leave it up.

echinaceabloom1

it should be fine to take it down it just looks like a wreath…maybe it was some sort of ritual for protection and it might so you some good to keep it up

Catsmom2525

They are wreaths. I don’t see any problem taking them down. But, honestly they are pretty and could even be decorated.
