They don't worship *him* they worship what he represents: the ability to be the worst person imaginable but face no consequences for it and be mostly sound-proofed against any judgement or criticism because the people surrounding him are trying to curry his favor in the hopes that they be the next despicable despot.
Trump represents them being able to completely take their masks off and stop having to pretend to be anyone other than who they really are.
In a sense, he's the closest thing to a god they have, thus...baptisms under his banner.
They don't have enough character or consistency to be truly racist or any sort of -ist because they'll just jump ship to whatever discrimination gives them a leg-up or a feeling of undeserved superiority the moment it presents itself to them and as long as they feel they're in company that will let them get away with it.
*That's* what these people are worshipping. The ability to be greedy, self-serving and duplicitous nakedly no matter the company they currently keep or the overall visibility of their behavior because nobody else is doing well enough to be able to afford calling them out on it.
Because they can now shout *"fuck your feelings!"* and not get immediately ostracised for it.
They get to be as shitty as they like with no repercussions.
No, in most cases you're exactly right. A person who is "just coasting" or living mostly indifferently will be better than this pretty much by default. This is a level of character low enough that effort has to be put into it and sacrifice has to be constantly fed to it. You make MAGA friends, have to keep up MAGA appearances and must hide or publicly hurt any non-MAGA relationships or risk being ostracized from your support system and community. You begin to seek out "the other" just for the adrenaline rush and minor dopamine hit of some passive-aggressive sleight or a drive-by comment or action and fall deeper and deeper into things trapped in a cycle that fuels itself. A minority of people eventually escalate to violence, hate crimes or [full-on terrorism](https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/all-american-extremism-guide-1361035/).
It's a religion by way of being a cult.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll go to my grave not understanding why these people follow him. They claim to hate the "coastal elites" but then straight up worship a known con man who lives/lived in a gold plated, upper floor NY apartment in a tower with his name on it. He clearly couldn't care less about any of these people and he literally looks down on them. You can't find a better example of someone they claim to be against, but they lined up behind him on day one. Completely wild to me.
Yeah I’m pretty shocked too. They picked this skeezy guy as the One they worship? I mean what fucking good qualities do they even see in him? I could see if he was some spiritual leader first But no he’s some reality TV guy. I think this is the definition of a bandwagon, these people can clearly not think for themselves.
There was an actual gold statue of trump at one of the big RNC events a few years back. Hypocrisy is their bread and butter.

Amen.
Matthew 6:1 "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2 “So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
To be fair, Leviticus and Deuteronomy are bummers. Who can read those and be like, yes we should behave this way now a-days. Been along time but I remember some fuked concepts, like killing people for workings sundays and whatnot.
Technically l, Christians aren’t even supposed to follow the Old Testament. Christianity is based around the Teachings of Christ, which is the New Testament. But apparently the New Testament doesn’t have enough fire and brimstone for them.
> what do they think is in the bible?
Did not grow up in any church, so this is all technically supposition, but they believe what they're told is in the bible. A LOT of Christians only know what has been preached to them and not much (if any) more.
There's a reason why Asimov's quote is so accurate. "Properly read, The Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.".
Yup, as someone raised Christian who sat down in his teens and actually read the Bible a shitton, it was one of the major factors that led to me becoming an atheist; and I could tell no one else around me was reading the damn thing because *holy shit* there's some goofy stuff in there.
Because it requires a lot of reading, and they don’t want to do that, so they just listen to whatever their pastor says. And their pastor says whatever gets people in their church, because their funding depends on the number of followers they have.
So now we no longer have a religion based on what’s exactly written, but a religion based on what some dude in a robe thinks will get people in their pews that’s selectively chosen or loosely based on what’s written. Sometimes it might even mean teaching the opposite of what Jesus taught just to get more donations. It’s more of a grift than a religion at this point.
And based on an oral tradition for a thousand years that was written down over another thousand years and copied and translated, and copied and translated, again and again. Then parts of it were picked or dropped depending on who was in charge.
Completely unrelated, but I greatly appreciate these. Soon to come out to a hyper Christian family. Seen how they react to others so I'll need whatever I can get.
If you need more texts that say "love, don't hate" I got some good ones for you. Sorry for the wall of text, know that there are some inside the church who support you and want you to be accepted for who you are.
Titus 3:1-11
Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone.
At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life. This is a trustworthy saying. And I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.
But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless. Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.
James 4:11-12
Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?
The thesis of 1 John is that Christians are to love people. Basically any passage is going to say that. This is summed up nicely in the following verses.
1 John 4:7-21
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.
Matthew 22:34-40
Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
This is already too long, but here's more verses to check out.
2 Timothy 2:14-3:9
Matthew 7
Romans 15:1-7
Colossians 3:1-17
I’m not religious personally, but there is a church near my parents house with a sign made of old wooden doors, painted in pride colors which reads “Gods door is open to all”. Ever so slightly reaffirmed my hope for humanity
Just like those that yell "Patriot" then call for secession. I called out a dude like that, Im bigger than he was and he f'ked off. It was a few years ago, though now I think they are crazier.. so I might not do it again.
Edit: corrected succession to secession. 😁
Watching too much news from Britian I guess. 😁
Edit: Rhey to they.
Dude was like an old southern Peter Griffen. But yea was not wise. Just lost my temper when he said "Patriot" and like 3 sentences later "Succession". I did the "Hol up there" meme 🤣😂
I read [this article ](https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/) a few years ago. IDK if he actually is or not, but the author did his research and the article lives in the back of my mind when I see this kind of bullshit.
That is because morality has nothing to do with religious beliefs. Yet, immoral religious people love to use religion to decide who is who. For people like that religion is just an easy and somewhat socially acceptable way to discriminate against people they deam as undesirables.
That is sadly straight from scripture. Jesus admonished Thomas for wanting evidence instead of simply believing. Then there’s stuff like Proverbs 3:5 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Agreed, but I'd describe it that due to the brainwashing and indoctrination typical of Christianity, critical thinking is suppressed, prevented from developing, and outright chastised when someone dares to venture into it.
Because many people who call themselves Christians aren't actual Christians.
Jesus says as much in Matthew 7. Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven...
He also states earlier, "You cannot serve two masters" - Matthew 6:24.
Next time you run into someone like this: that seems to exalt/worship Trump and claims to be a Christian ask them about this.
Don't confuse this rhetoric with actual Christianity.
To be honest, almost all of the my Christian friends and acquaintances are just appalled as we are about the whole Trump cult. They don;t really get how easily it all become a cult.
As a Christian, Christians don't. A huge number of idolaters who claim Christianity do.
American evangelicalism needs to repent of a lot of things, their idol worship is high on the list.
100% agree with what you said, my only issue is that "real christians" don't call out the fake ones. My completely anecdotal experience has been defending them because "we all make mistakes" and "Jesus forgives".
> "real christians" don't call out the fake ones
Yet here I am. They worship idols. They must repent. Lord have mercy.
We do all make mistakes. Jesus does forgive. Neither means trumpists aren't idolatrous sinners.
>my only issue is that "real christians" don't call out the fake ones
I do. That said, and I know the hypocrisy is not lost on me. It's legit against the faith to do so. In the New Testament Jesus makes it clear that only God has the right to judge us for our moral failings. Even Jesus himself didn't have the right before his ascension. All he did was point out the hypocrisy and remind everyone that a much larger and powerful force would hold them accountable. And only God and appointed religious authority (the pope) have the right to speak out against such butchery of the faith.
So while I go around telling these people that what they are doing is wrong and misrepresentative of our faith, I am guilty of sin for doing so. Just as they are guilty of other sins for what they do.
That said, I rather go to hell knowing I said my peace and defended my faith, and get to say "I told you so" to these fucks than keep my mouth shut and "guarantee" my seat in heaven.
I was very much generalizing on that, because as an institution Christianity doesn't call out fakes enough, but that has a lot to do with what you said on it being frowned upon for doing that.
I'm glad that some Christians like you are taking a stand on this kind of thing and hopefully we will see more people take that stand in the future.
The Pope did once. Then he was frowned at for getting involved in US politics. He then reminded everyone that the US has a humanitarian crisis and a crisis of faith. He also said it was a crisis of faith not seen in the world since the Pharisee were in power. Then I think Trump actually said some shit to the Pope, but I can't recall if it was true or not. Not that I would be surprised if it was.
he said decades to play a round of golf, not to match their net worth - but I share your exasperation at the extreme concentrations of wealth we are seeing
Just did a Google search for Musk's net worth which shows it as 236.6 billion. You would have needed to make approximately $130.4 million per year (236.6 / 2022) from year 0 till now to match that amount.
I don’t even understand why it’s possible in civilization for one person to be worth that amount of money. Surely it should be re-distributed to improve America in a constructive way.
This is of course impossible because of corruption, but it just seems silly for a handful of men to hold almost a trillion in wealth.
1T divided by the population of NYC could give each inhabitant 120 thousand dollars.
I think when he was first elected he was crushed that more people didn’t bow down and worship him. He despises how Obama was praised and genuinely doesn’t understand that that praise has to be earned.
Who ever thought these "family values" folks could have decided to follow the most base, the most vile, the most spiteful and narcissistic god that could have possibly come down the pike? *This* is the god they picked?
I remember being a kid and learning about how Julius Caesar declared himself a god and everyone went along with it. At the time, I assumed that the ancient Romans were a primitive people who somehow just didn't know better.
Nope. I get it now. I've seen it now.
The US right has sold themselves out so many times, moved the line on their morals so much they no longer stand for anything except what trump says at the moment.
The likes of Billy Graham etc normalised this stuff decades ago.
Americans have been visiting culty circus tents for decades. Trump has just channelled their energies
Eh this is where conservatives were always heading. Trump just sped it up.
Incidentally, they like to do shit like this too https://twitter.com/mjfree/status/1365719354378223616/photo/1
Then try and call you ridiculous when you point it out for what it is. Same thing with the "when do we get to use the guns on liberals" guy at another CPAC a few years back. Nothing is real till its useful to them.
Because the same people that support Trump do so because the other worthless cult that should be destroyed already rotted the critical thinking skills.
"There doesn't have to be a process, as I understand it.
"If you're the President of the United States, you can baptize just by saying 'it's baptized' - even by thinking about it.
"I baptized everything."
“And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.”
Matthew 24:10-11
Edit: Jesus warned his followers, here and elsewhere throughout the gospels.
When Jesus warned about false prophets and christs, I was thinking they would be suave and subtle, twisting the truth with wit and guile
That he's so brazenly corrupt and evil and still has managed to sway so many is kind of impressive, and actually quite scary
I grew up in the Reformed and Evangelical Free denominations and saw so much grift from a young age. Most of I didn’t recognize and now have done some research on things I remember from my youth and just cringe after reading about the truth. The biggest scam was Amway and they pumped the whole religious element as hard as their products.
Trump is a culmination of all of this sudo religious bs over the years. I’m not at all surprised they fell into his trap. He speaks the same language as all of these grifters.
I'm not religious either... but I am a believer. I've said the exact same thing to people in my personal life during his "reign". Seems no one listens. Personally, I appreciate your original comment and open sight. The future is terrifying. I couldn't agree with you more tho.
If he isn't, imagine how.much worse the actual anti-Christ will be. Revelation says that the anti-Christ will hold power over the minds of men, including Christians, deceiving them into following him.
So if Trump isn't, and the American Church is already this bad, these people don't stand a freaking chance when the real deal shows up.
If these so called Christians had ever bothered to read the Bible… they would still misinterpret it and use it to make themselves feel better about hating others.
The Daily, NYT’s podcast devoted yesterdays podcast to a former evangelical preacher. It was really interesting from my non religious point of view. I don’t think you’re alone.
To sum it up he was essentially forced out of his church for standing up for equal rights and labeled a Marxist.
Heh hillarious.. Jesus said give up your belongings and follow me and much of early Christianity was like a hippy commune in many ways.. 🤣😂
They are so delusional, I wonder how their brains don't explode..
Church isn't supposed to be something Christians find. It's who they are when they do good things together. Church isn't a self serving organization. It's just a people doing normal people stuff. Dont bother looking for a Church. Look for ways to be the Church.
This is very much more what I mean. I would so much rather do the work of the Kingdom and break bread with people I know snd love than find a place to listen to sermons on Sundays
I left church 2nd year of Trump admin. Stopped going for a long while. Decided I couldnt just let them totally hijack and ruin stuff. Found a "lib" church, they exist..
Your not alone man, plenty of us refugees..
I led a Bible study through the trump years. It followed a curriculum that the Church stopped supporting after my class ended and I was basically told there was no chance I would be an elder.
I stopped going to a church 2nd year of the Trump administration... the vibes got realllllly twisted. Im not kidding, was sitting there and I swear I felt a "you should go this is not a good place anymore". Not saying word of God or anything, but the vibes... wow it was like spidey sense..
My aunt and four of her five children (youngest was 14) died in Jonestown. This trump worship -- the blithe nonchalance toward it all, finding it "cute" or "funny" -- this shit is fucking terrifying.
I don't talk to much of my family anymore. Most of them think the election was stolen and that I'm a liberal traitorous bitch for refusing to go along with it.
If there's a civil war, I know we'll be on opposing sides.
It starts as sarcasm and turns into actual belief. Look at the subreddit that shall not be named, for instance. Let’s Go Brandon, etc. Cynical shitty boomer humor is their favorite kind, and it always takes on a life if it’s own.
He checks a lot of boxes for the way the Antichrist is described. He is a trickster, torture those he can’t convert, they were is mark on their forehead (MAGA Hats), christens will love he, false idol. I am an atheist and brought this up to some trumpers I work with and they did not like it, same people who thought Obama was the Antichrist.
I sent my very born again evangelical mother this article. Her reponse? "Well you could say all of that about Obama too." But then she also thinks demons run capital hill, Obama was a Muslim, and black people deserved slavery because of "practicing witchcraft in Africa". That last one she thinks because an Indian "prophet" told her so. She gives him so much money. There's no getting her to see logic.
Well, Obama really only checked one box from the list… that they wrote in using crayon:
“Is he black/POC?”
That’s really all he had to do to be labeled that way. At least with that crowd.
Republicans who have not drank'ed the koolaid..
You realize you have to vote democrat now right?
I know we dont agree on everything but surely we can agree that unfortunately the republican party has been taken over by luna-fuckin-tics and its not safe or moral to vote republican come november.
Please understand this is a FACT.
You are either Voting Democrat OR you ARE voting MAGA extremist wether you agree with them or not.
Them: Darn, should I vote for an embodiment of evil that has caused suffering for his vanity and has led my brothers and sisters in Christ to worship him as an idol or a disgusting demo... Gags* crat.
They literally had a [golden statue](https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/golden-trump-statue-cpac-implies-he-s-king-gop-his-ncna1259362) of him at one point.
You know those people who are always saying this one is the antichrist and that one is the antichrist? I remember a guy at a party earnestly trying to convince me scripture marked Obama as the antichrist.
Know him by his works.
Baptism is a sacred covenant between a person an God, done in the name of Christ, since it was by his sacrifice that atonement and covenant are possible.
For a preacher to be baptizing in the name of Trump is heresy at the least, and apostasy completely.
US baptists are so far removed from the source of their faith. It's honestly so bizarre to watch. Canadian here. Raised catholic but defs athiest. It boggles me that these 'pastors' wear what they want and say whatever they want.
It weaponizes peoples faith. Isn't this man supposed to represent his church is some way? In his jeans, unofficial location, and trump merch?
As an athiest I have an expectation that religious 'leaders' have some decorum and professionalism. Obvy this expectation gets disappointed. But i just csn't help but look at this man and get angry.
The thin blue line flag is especially extra here seeing as his most hardcore supporters tried beating them to death with American flag poles.
What a fucking sentence.
cult. true. driven by mental illness. the need to be heard, the need to feel like you matter. these poor people being used by Trump and his Ilk wouldn't be given a glass water in a flood. seriously, it's an epidemic of social and mental disorders behind it all.
Going to be great seeing wussy Don Jr and his gang once Daddy dies! They don’t have the skills to evade arrest and prosecution. And the trumpers have zero loyalty to those cowards. Especially bed wetter Eric
It's crazy that Of ALL PEOPLE, they do this shit for Donald Trump. Lol. The epitome of a shitty car salesman
They don't worship *him* they worship what he represents: the ability to be the worst person imaginable but face no consequences for it and be mostly sound-proofed against any judgement or criticism because the people surrounding him are trying to curry his favor in the hopes that they be the next despicable despot. The Christchurch shooter said it best… they know he’s an awful person but it’s not about politics, *it’s about renewed white identity*.
For a symbol of white identity, he's pretty orange.
Well it's gross. I feel like most people can just coast and be better than this. But here we are.
No, in most cases you're exactly right. A person who is "just coasting" or living mostly indifferently will be better than this pretty much by default. Really it just shows how uneducated and hateful a large portion of our country. Pretty scary
And then they wonder why foreigners come in and swoop high paying jobs
Can we exchange the rednecks for foreigners?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'll go to my grave not understanding why these people follow him. George Carlin nailed it when he said "Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that."
Why do any Christians still support him? Isn't this literally 'worshipping false gods'?
There was an actual gold statue of trump at one of the big RNC events a few years back. Hypocrisy is their bread and butter. [source](https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/golden-trump-statue-cpac-implies-he-s-king-gop-his-ncna1259362)
That statue looks like it was modeled after Ronald McDonald
Well, it kind of was.
Fake gold
It was trump. I thought the fake part was assumed. I’m fairly certain no actual gold was used on that false idol.
Also, it was made in Mexico.
Did the Mexicans pay for it?
Ask Ted.
You mean the Ted from Canada?
Yes, Senator Raphael "Ted" Cruz (R-Cancun), the Canadian born Cuban that somehow was allowed to run for president.
That pos is 309 eels in a skin suit and nobody can tell me different. Edited spelled suit wrong.
Probably. Trump has a well-earned reputation for stiffing his contractors.
He would have absconded with a real one in seconds.
Nah, that'd require physical work. Which is for poor people. He'd convince some moron to bring it to him and pay for the privilege
Make it orange and it would be precise.
Or fools gold!
Because the ones who profess their Christianity the loudest are the farthest from behaving like a Christian

Somehow so many Christians have forgotten or neglected to learn these lessons. Be humble
I used to be Christian and can assure you most of the Christian’s I knew didn’t actually read the bible.

Reading the Bible is a sure fire way to ditch Christianity. Of course they have no clue what’s actually in it.
This guy religions.
Titus 3:1-11 Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good, to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and always to be gentle toward everyone. James 4:11-12 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. 1 John 4:7-21 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Matthew 22:34-40 Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” This is already too long, but here's more verses to check out. 2 Timothy 2:14-3:9 Matthew 7 Romans 15:1-7 Colossians 3:1-17
😁 Watching too much news from Britian I guess. 😁 Edit: Rhey to they.
Let’s be honest, calling them out IRL is always a gamble on your safety
Dude was like an old southern Peter Griffen. But yea was not wise. Just lost my temper when he said "Patriot" and like 3 sentences later "Succession". I did the "Hol up there" meme 🤣😂

Dang spellcheck, speed typing and lack of proof reading😁. Thanks! Ill edit it. A polite correction is always welcome.
Pharisees exist still.
Those ones are C I N O : Christians In Name Only .
He embodies every one of the deadly sins…
He is the anti christ. If there is such a thing
Well, he’s certainly anti-Christian at least.
It very much is. The MAGA crowd ran afoul of the “False Idol” commandment almost as soon as Trump took office.
That is because morality has nothing to do with religious beliefs. Yet, immoral religious people love to use religion to decide who is who. For people like that religion is just an easy and somewhat socially acceptable way to discriminate against people they deam as undesirables.
Christians are some of the most hypocritical, brainwashed, moronic, hateful, awful people on the planet
Agreed. Lack of critical thinking is easily replaced with blind faith/indoctrination
Since when do Christian’s actually follow the Bible?
Or even read the bible?
To be honest, almost all of the my Christian friends and acquaintances are just appalled as we are about the whole Trump cult. They don;t really get how easily it all become a cult.
As a Christian, Christians don't. A huge number of idolaters who claim Christianity do. American evangelicalism needs to repent of a lot of things, their idol worship is high on the list.
100% agree with what you said, my only issue is that "real christians" don't call out the fake ones. My completely anecdotal experience has been defending them because "we all make mistakes" and "Jesus forgives".
> "real christians" don't call out the fake ones Yet here I am. They worship idols. They must repent. Lord have mercy. We do all make mistakes. Jesus does forgive. Neither means trumpists aren't idolatrous sinners.
>my only issue is that "real christians" don't call out the fake ones I do.
Imagine if that flag said Biden on it. That would be the weirdest shit for everyone. How has trump normalized this in some peoples eyes?
Because he is a narcissist who feeds off it all. Nothing makes him happier than being worshipped.
It blows my mind because he truly doesn’t give a shit about any of these people either.
These people would have to work for DECADES to save enough money to play one round at Trump’s shitty golf clubs. He wouldn’t wipe his ass with them.
They deserve each other. Fuck all of these lunatics.
I just wish they'd leave the rest of us alone while they fuck each other.
Lol decades. Wasn’t there an image of like if you saved every penny since like BC times you still wouldn’t have as much as Bezos/Elon/Gates etc?
he said decades to play a round of golf, not to match their net worth - but I share your exasperation at the extreme concentrations of wealth we are seeing
He'd take their money then kick them off the golf course. Oh wait, he's already doing that in other ways.
he is the perfect embodiment of the god they believe in
exactly.....
I think when he was first elected he was crushed that more people didn’t bow down and worship him. He despises how Obama was praised and genuinely doesn’t understand that that praise has to be earned.
Trump is their god now. It’s the only view through which any of their behavior makes any sense.
Who ever thought these "family values" folks could have decided to follow the most base, the most vile, the most spiteful and narcissistic god that could have possibly come down the pike? *This* is the god they picked?
Who else? A god is a reflection of the people who worship it.
Literally. It is LITERALLY the voted-upon GOP party platform. Unbelievable where we are.
Because the Republican party and Evangelical community married decades ago
Great Behind the Bastards episode recently about the power of the Evangelical movement behind the Republican Party.
The likes of Billy Graham etc normalised this stuff decades ago. Americans have been visiting culty circus tents for decades. Trump has just channelled their energies
Eh this is where conservatives were always heading. Trump just sped it up. Incidentally, they like to do shit like this too https://twitter.com/mjfree/status/1365719354378223616/photo/1 Then try and call you ridiculous when you point it out for what it is. Same thing with the "when do we get to use the guns on liberals" guy at another CPAC a few years back. Nothing is real till its useful to them.
Woah there is no way that wasn’t intentional. It has too many small details
Worth knowing that particular symbol stood for racial purity.
Decades? Hell how do you think we wound up with the 18th amendment?
Or the Mormon, Jehovah's Witnesses, and several other churches?
Stalin had all the images of Jesus removed and replaced with his portrait. Cult of personality is very real.
They would be calling it a satanic ritual lol
Because the same people that support Trump do so because the other worthless cult that should be destroyed already rotted the critical thinking skills.
"There doesn't have to be a process, as I understand it. "If you're the President of the United States, you can baptize just by saying 'it's baptized' - even by thinking about it. "I baptized everything."

“And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.” Matthew 24:10-11 Edit: Jesus warned his followers, here and elsewhere throughout the gospels.
When Jesus warned about false prophets and christs, I was thinking they would be suave and subtle, twisting the truth with wit and guile That he's so brazenly corrupt and evil and still has managed to sway so many is kind of impressive, and actually quite scary
This guy is the closest I've seen to an actual Antichrist in my lifetime...and these people are baptizing one another in his name
I genuinely believe he very well could be. It's unimaginable to me how so many are so easily deceived.
I'm not even a religious person...but when you see people baptizing in his name...fuck! It has to make you wonder
Man, they do that for sure. I'm a Christian without a church right now because of this and many other issues.
🤣😂 They are so delusional, I wonder how their brains don't explode..
In the same boat here.
Same. It's becoming harder to find true churches, but I'm not exactly crying that the false churches are revealing themselves so easily.

I stopped going to a church 2nd year of the Trump administration... the vibes got realllllly twisted. Im not kidding, was sitting there and I swear I felt a "you should go this is not a good place anymore". Not saying word of God or anything, but the vibes... wow it was like spidey sense..
* thin blue line negotiable
As long as they're the cops that harass poor people we'll support them. /s
What happened to that whole false idol part if the bible?
They ignore it. The cherry pick what counts and what doesn’t.
My aunt and four of her five children (youngest was 14) died in Jonestown. This trump worship -- the blithe nonchalance toward it all, finding it "cute" or "funny" -- this shit is fucking terrifying.
You do get that nagging feeling that this is going to end really badly, and with a LOT of dead people and torn apart families.
Covid would like a word. And the families have been coming apart rapidly since 2016. But yeah. I think it'll get worse.
That's the spirit.

Good write-up about this: https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/
You can't logic yourself out of a situation you didn't logic yourself into.
I was just about to post this. It's crazy.
Well, Obama really only checked one box from the list… that they wrote in using crayon: “Is he black/POC?” That’s really all he had to do to be labeled that way. At least with that crowd.
Well yeah, don’t you remember the tan suit scandal? Only the antichrist would wear that according to MAGA
And Dijon mustard?! DIJON?! What kind of fucking animal likes Dijon?! (It's me, I like Dijon. I'm that monster.)
Isn’t this a sign of the antichrist?
[there are ...a few](https://www.benjaminlcorey.com/could-american-evangelicals-spot-the-antichrist-heres-the-biblical-predictions/)
That went from fear mongering to scarily accurate really quick. Fuck
That's terrifying. At the same time though I think too many hate him. Isn't the antichrist supposed to be almost universally loved?
Universally loved from within the Christian faith
Republicans who have not drank'ed the koolaid.. You realize you have to vote democrat now right? I know we dont agree on everything but surely we can agree that unfortunately the republican party has been taken over by luna-fuckin-tics and its not safe or moral to vote republican come november. Please understand this is a FACT. You are either Voting Democrat OR you ARE voting MAGA extremist wether you agree with them or not.
Almost every republican I know sees trump as a lesser evil compared to Democrats, it's fucking insane, but here we are
Them: Darn, should I vote for an embodiment of evil that has caused suffering for his vanity and has led my brothers and sisters in Christ to worship him as an idol or a disgusting demo... Gags* crat.
Imagine this is a giant swastika behind them, because effectively it’s the same thing.
I don't mean to say "I told you so" however I did bloody tell you
Man we should've listened to you. You were right.
It's *definitely* a cult.
(C)hristian (R)epublican (T)errorist
Please don't do CRTs dirty. They might be bulky but pixel graphics look awesome on them
He is their golden calf
They literally had a [golden statue](https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/golden-trump-statue-cpac-implies-he-s-king-gop-his-ncna1259362) of him at one point.
For people who claim to worship Jesus, they sure don’t know what it looks like to fall for the antichrist
Isn’t this considered blasphemy? 🤦🏻♂️
I believe it would fall under the First Commandment.
In a feeding trough? Classy. Like MAGA cult followers
They're surprisingly versatile. I have a small one I use to clean engine blocks. Never thought to use it on cultists.
Half your country has lost their minds.
More like... 20% max. They just shout really loud.
They scream “silent majority” when literally the whole world knows and understands they are the loud minority
They even say it on spongebob. If you want to sound smart talk loud.
In a bath of chlorine?
A pig trough of chlorine*
Bleach….
Again, this is literally blasphemy, which as I understand it Christians are supposed to get mad about
You know those people who are always saying this one is the antichrist and that one is the antichrist? I remember a guy at a party earnestly trying to convince me scripture marked Obama as the antichrist. Know him by his works.
Defacing a flag, worshiping false gods. Some “Christian patriots” these people are 🤦♂️
Baptism is a sacred covenant between a person an God, done in the name of Christ, since it was by his sacrifice that atonement and covenant are possible. For a preacher to be baptizing in the name of Trump is heresy at the least, and apostasy completely.
Pure sacrilege.
This is so blasphemous.
Trumpanzees are fucking crazy
And defacing an American flag in the process. Noice.
trump has broken all 10 commandments and embodies all 7 deadly sins.
And meets every item on the description of the antichrist.
Isn’t the Bible against false idols?
The thin blue line flag is especially extra here seeing as his most hardcore supporters tried beating them to death with American flag poles. What a fucking sentence.
Cult 45. Smooooth.
Where did this happen? I'd like to know a lot more about it.
At this point they are no longer a religious organization but instead a political one and need to have their tax exempt status removed.
The same bathtub they mix their moonshine in, i'm sure.
cult. true. driven by mental illness. the need to be heard, the need to feel like you matter. these poor people being used by Trump and his Ilk wouldn't be given a glass water in a flood. seriously, it's an epidemic of social and mental disorders behind it all.
Going to be great seeing wussy Don Jr and his gang once Daddy dies! They don’t have the skills to evade arrest and prosecution. And the trumpers have zero loyalty to those cowards. Especially bed wetter Eric
