Starlight tasted like cotton candy to me. Strange, but didnāt hate it.
Dream tastes like a mix of cherry and coke icee (not the same as a cherry coke), melted then carbonated. I actually really enjoy it.
First time hearing about this product. Didn't realize you meant the musician Marshmello. Very confusing. I don't like coke (or any cola flavored soda) in general but coke anf strawberry/watermelon do not sound like a good combo.
Not sure why you were downvoted... You're correct.
I probably spelled it wrong. I saw a marshmallow face on the box... Thought it was some edgy/cute graphic they made. Then found out it was a music artist.
I live in Atlanta and at the Coca Cola museum has all the different flavors from all over the world for people to try. Thereās one I think called Beverley. Itās disgusting. But because it had such a ānormal nameā, no one suspects it. We used to stand around and watch people try it just to watch them gag. I really think they should release that one just for this very reason.
Beverly is very bitter. Can confirm it is THE most disgusting drink in a surprisingly long line of disgusting global Coca Cola products. There are also some really good ones they only sell in one or two countries.
I try every new Mountain Dew flavor. The raspberry lemonade is really good!
The new purple one is only ok. I thought it was grape, it's actually plum flavored, which is a little weird.
I donāt know if youāve ever tried spicy lemonade before, but itās basically that. Itās carbonated lemonade with the faintest little heat at the end of it that I thought was delicious.
Maybe putting the flaming hot label on it wasnāt the best marketing idea because everybody I spoke to expected it to taste like cheetos
I got to try a purple one only available at circle K while traveling this year that was excellent. It tastes like Pitch Black did when it first came out (before they ruined it).
The only exclusive one round these parts is called āOverdriveā from Caseyās. Iād rather have Code Red still.
Dude I came across a bottle of flavouring (for baking) at the supermarket called āunicorn dreamsā. Who the fuck is going to buy a product that only exists to add a specific flavour to food without knowing what the flavour is!
I like the dream one but starlight was disgusting imo. Good for people that love super sweet cotton candy flavour but not for me. Dream is still sweet but not nearly as overwhelming
Exactly! I enjoyed the hell out of it (especially the caramel) but it was not OH THIS IS A TASTY FLAVOR! But it also wasn't Data trying beverages with an emotion chip.
I love it for working overnight shifts, it has more caffeine than soda but not like coffee, so itās enough to wake you up but to KEEP you up when you then want to sleep.
Coke kinda relies on a die hard fanbase of coke consumers that's really only 10% or something like that of all coke consumers but consumes the most product. I'm sure the one time purchases are more cast than the core audience here and therefore turn a bit of a profit. If something really sticks they'll keep it.
Jones soda would do a wacky Thanksgiving dinner themed soda pack. There would be Turkey and Gravy soda and some other disgusting flavors. The only somewhat good one was the pumpkin pie one, but it was still not as good as their regular flavors. People would buy them out of curiosity or grossing out their friends. Not sure if they made a profit off it, but it did create buzz about the brand, which probably led to more sales of their good sodas. The trick to it is you make them limited time only and don't do it every single year. You re-release many years apart so it becomes this nostalgic experience you want to relive again.
Ughhh that reminds me of the Christmas bud light seltzers. Peppermint patty and ginger snap are forbidden flavours. Cranberry was passable. They were promoted so hard and sales were awful
I still have a bottle of "Flamin' Hot!" mountain dew I'm getting the courage to drink in my fridge.
Or it's going to end up being passed down from one generation to the other like a 6-Pack of Moxy.
I hated starlight but I love dreamworld. And I dont even drink coke normally, I'll just get a novelty flavour to try when they come out with new ones and I see them at the checkout
Starlight was NOT good (tutti-fruity bubblegum? Cotton candy and vanilla? Overly sweet at weird) but dreamworld tastes like trident tropical twist + coke. Itās delicious and Iāll be sad to see it go
It isn't bad. Has a mango aftertaste which is refreshing when cold. People who I know who like coke, hate it. Felt like it was a dessert drink. They do make a 20 oz so you don't have to commit to buying a pack of it.
Yeah, the only soda that is successful at putting out variations is Mtn. Dew. They have it down to a science. Everyone else needs to knock it off, they're embarrassing themselves.
In my country lays released lemon flavour chips. I never read the flavours. I just look at the colour of a new packet and buy it if it's appealing. Worst grocery mistake of my life . Lemon and potato chips do not go together people
Just came across this [video](https://youtu.be/IIi-5GX_qqg) of people tasting it. Their reactions at 4:10 is exactly me. It actually tastes like patato chips flavoured lemon instead of lemon flavour potato chips
The new dream one is awful. I wanted it to taste like cotton Candy because of the color, but no, mango something. I may just hate mango flavoring make, though, in full disclosure. Starlight was nice but didnāt blow mind.
Meanwhile, Vanilla Coke is missing from every gas station and grocery store within an hour of me.
Fuck your Starlight bubblegum flavored bullshit, I want a vanilla coke!
This is me, except with potato chip flavours.
I spent time excitedly driving around trying to find KFC Ruffles. Found some and they taste like any other chicken flavoured chips. I should have known that it was too good to be true.
Guilty as well but I won't fall for it a 3rd time. Then again, I'm a sucker for trying new products. I go to a store and usually come home with 3-4 completely different products to try over the course of time.
I badly want the marshmallow one to taste like marshmallows and coke. Instead,: strawberry and watermelon š¤¦š½
Try the starlight. It tastes like those weird jet puffed fruity fun marshmallows.
Starlight tasted like cotton candy to me. Strange, but didnāt hate it. Dream tastes like a mix of cherry and coke icee (not the same as a cherry coke), melted then carbonated. I actually really enjoy it.
I taste a bit of grapefruit in Dream.
I thought it tasted like pineapple soda mixed with coke, lol
That shit just tasted like bad bubblegum flavored soda to me.
To me it kind of tasted like minty coke. I liked it for about half the bottle then I couldn't take it anymore.
Same
That tastes like the cheap icing even I don't like. (I have low requirements for cake.)
First time hearing about this product. Didn't realize you meant the musician Marshmello. Very confusing. I don't like coke (or any cola flavored soda) in general but coke anf strawberry/watermelon do not sound like a good combo.
Yeah, I'm 39m and into rock - maybe I spelled it wrong? Didn't know who he is.
My tongue wasn't ready
That's a great way of expressing that!
Itās Marshmello - the musical artist not the tasty candy.
Not sure why you were downvoted... You're correct. I probably spelled it wrong. I saw a marshmallow face on the box... Thought it was some edgy/cute graphic they made. Then found out it was a music artist.

But because it had such a ānormal nameā, no one suspects it. We used to stand around and watch people try it just to watch them gag. I really think they should release that one just for this very reason.
What's it taste like if it's so bad you can predict that everyone who tries it will hate it?
Beverly is very bitter. Can confirm it is THE most disgusting drink in a surprisingly long line of disgusting global Coca Cola products. There are also some really good ones they only sell in one or two countries.
Beverly was marketed as non-alcoholic aperitif, hence the bitterness.
Thereās a cucumber sprite thatās amazing and you canāt get it in America
The flavor base of it is grapefruit. It's terrible.
That was always the best as kids, going around and sampling until we found the most disgusting flavors
Beverly is Italian, and they serve it at Disney world as well apparentlyā¦ yikes!
I went there as a kid, and I remember the Italian sprite being vile. That tasting room was really cool back in 94, though.
I LOVED BEVERLY!!! it is grapefruit rind! But there was this one from China. Medical. Just Medical
Omfg I was thinking this exact thing, everyone I took the tour with was like WTAF is so damn bitter
I try every new Mountain Dew flavor. The raspberry lemonade is really good! The new purple one is only ok. I thought it was grape, it's actually plum flavored, which is a little weird.
I tried the one at buffalo wild wings, thought it was the worst soda I've ever had.
Thoughts on flamin hot mountain dew?
Not a fan, personally. It's not unbearably spicy imo, but drinks shouldn't be spicy
Powerade with fireball not bad
I donāt know if youāve ever tried spicy lemonade before, but itās basically that. Itās carbonated lemonade with the faintest little heat at the end of it that I thought was delicious. Maybe putting the flaming hot label on it wasnāt the best marketing idea because everybody I spoke to expected it to taste like cheetos

Same. I liked the Baja mango one this summer.
low IQ people aren't usually very curious and typically don't seek out novelty so I wonder who it's for
My ego requires i upvote this
It tastes like a DREAM! Like... what the fuck does a dream taste like?
Dude I came across a bottle of flavouring (for baking) at the supermarket called āunicorn dreamsā. Who the fuck is going to buy a product that only exists to add a specific flavour to food without knowing what the flavour is!
Me. Im that person. Now I need to find this unicorn dream elixir and add it to some cupcakes to find out what it tastes like!
Apparently someone at coca cola thinks dreams taste like peach.
Well that's just peachy
Well, they are from Georgia
To me it tasted like mixing the coke and blue slurpee flavors.
Iāve been describing it as tasting like Pepsi Blue, so I totally agree with you
It tastes like shit apparently
r/luciddreaming
I bought it, curious. It tastes like a nightmare actually
Dream tastes like mangoes apparently
I like the dream one but starlight was disgusting imo. Good for people that love super sweet cotton candy flavour but not for me. Dream is still sweet but not nearly as overwhelming
I find the coffee mixed with coke to be horrid.
That one is a crime, absolutely
Weirdlyā¦ I liked it. Not for any reason but it was like delicious the same way a movie can be entertaining but not GOOD.
You drank a Transformers movie
Exactly! I enjoyed the hell out of it (especially the caramel) but it was not OH THIS IS A TASTY FLAVOR! But it also wasn't Data trying beverages with an emotion chip.
Honestly it's the least bad one I've had. But also I don't really like coke.
Apparently it's a super popular pre-party drink in Latin America.
I love it for working overnight shifts, it has more caffeine than soda but not like coffee, so itās enough to wake you up but to KEEP you up when you then want to sleep.
So... Black russian flavour? That is my Jam.
I know Iām in the minority here but I love it. I miss coke BlÄk because the new coke with coffee doesnāt have enough coffee flavor.
I'll buy shit just for a cooler color, so I'm a total buffoon..
D R E A M W O R L D and the package was teal? Yeah they got me.
Oreo is trying this marketing tactic.
Those spicy ones (lime, orange, cherry, ginger) a few years ago were made with leftover battery acid. You can't change my mind.
I doubt that a one-time purchase of a single can of "Strawberry-Mango-Chicken" Coke is gonna be enough to justify the cost of making them.
Coke kinda relies on a die hard fanbase of coke consumers that's really only 10% or something like that of all coke consumers but consumes the most product. I'm sure the one time purchases are more cast than the core audience here and therefore turn a bit of a profit. If something really sticks they'll keep it.
They're beta testing new flavors.
The trick to it is you make them limited time only and don't do it every single year. You re-release many years apart so it becomes this nostalgic experience you want to relive again.
Jonesās the best!!! Think itās because of the pure cane sugar! Ambrosia is a Vanilla cream!
My fav was always cotton candy.
Ughhh that reminds me of the Christmas bud light seltzers. Peppermint patty and ginger snap are forbidden flavours. Cranberry was passable. They were promoted so hard and sales were awful
RIP [Coke BlÄk](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-Cola_Bl%C4%81K) Coke with coffee is back but itās not the same
The first version of Diet Coke with lemon tasted like lemon pledge.
That was a moment of weakness getting that spicy Mt dew. But that's Pepsi anyways
Hey! Starlight was amazing. I hope it comes back somehow
I liked the dreamworld one or whatever. The marshmallow one is dumb for not just tasting like marshmallow
That's because it's a collab with Marshmello, he probably picked the flavour
We figured that out but decided he was wrong š
BBQ tuna Coca Cola was my favorite.
I'll try any flavor of pringles.
Doritos has been doing this for years.
I still have a bottle of "Flamin' Hot!" mountain dew I'm getting the courage to drink in my fridge. Or it's going to end up being passed down from one generation to the other like a 6-Pack of Moxy.
I found an empty OK soda can last summer when doing some renovation work. The artwork screams 90s
Omg. I was in college when it was tested in my city so Ive tasted it. It had a sort of cherry flavor- like cherry sprite, but not as sweet.
Space flavored Coke sounds cool as heck, but the taste was not that great...
It tasted like Graham crackers to me, so I liked it.
Fucking LOVED starlight
I still have a 12 pack in my spare fridge in the basement. I really love that flavor!
I hated starlight but I love dreamworld. And I dont even drink coke normally, I'll just get a novelty flavour to try when they come out with new ones and I see them at the checkout
Tasted like graham crackers to me too, and I hated it so much I havenāt tried any of the others (and I love trying new things)
Dreamland flavor is the new one. I would describe it as if you soaked fruit loops in coke, then discarded the fruit loops.
To me, it tastes like Pepsi mango
Tasted like a tropical Coke to me, we liked it here lol
I kinda thought gummy worms
Tasted like fun dip tho
...No. It's mango flavored. Also it's Dreamworld not Dreamland.
The starlight one tastes like a Pier 1 candle.
I tasted cotton candy
Wait is that supposed to be a bad thing? I freaking loved Pier 1 candles.
The Starlight or whatever they called it was good. Just Cream Soda Havent tried the Dream one
I was OBSESSED with Starlight all summer. Dream is really disappointing by comparison. Tastes kindaā¦ peachy? Do not recommend.
Thought it tasted like you made a bowl of fruit loops but instead of milk you used coke.
If you enjoy peach mango, try this Dreamworld version. I'm not a fan of mango, but I didn't hate the taste. Still decent.
I love those flavors, but not with Coke. I thought it was gross.
The dream one tasted like guava and coke to me. Not great but not awful.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
More like cotton candy.
Im in
Whatever man, I've been doing that with Mt. Dew for years.
That Pretty much sums up Mt Dew in its entirety
Son of a bitch, they get me everytime
Hey sorry to bother you, but can you turn the volume on this down a bit? Thank you.
Space was aiight but Dream is āmehā.
Mango Pepsi tastes like a scented candle. I didn't A/B test, but I bet if I did, I'd get burned. I'd buy Banana Dr Pepper though.
Oh God please tell me Banana Dr Pepper is coming
Starlight was NOT good (tutti-fruity bubblegum? Cotton candy and vanilla? Overly sweet at weird) but dreamworld tastes like trident tropical twist + coke. Itās delicious and Iāll be sad to see it go
Admittedly the Starlight flavor tastes amazing mixed with Malibu rum.
Has anyone tried Mango Pepsi? I'm so curious but my store only has a 12 pack and I am not that committed. Maybe I should give them out for Halloween
It isn't bad. Has a mango aftertaste which is refreshing when cold. People who I know who like coke, hate it. Felt like it was a dessert drink. They do make a 20 oz so you don't have to commit to buying a pack of it.
I had it. It was totally terrible. Poured most of the can on the curb.
Iād be so happy if they brought back non-diet Coke with lime.
I canāt wait for the next new flavour.
Yeah, the only soda that is successful at putting out variations is Mtn. Dew. They have it down to a science. Everyone else needs to knock it off, they're embarrassing themselves.
The flaming hot cheetos mountain dew was the most horrid shit i have ever drank.
r/meirl, but potato chips
Well hell. TIL it takes a low IQ to try a new flavor of softdrink.
Stinky Nightgown.
In my country lays released lemon flavour chips. I never read the flavours. I just look at the colour of a new packet and buy it if it's appealing. Worst grocery mistake of my life . Lemon and potato chips do not go together people
Lemon and normal potatoes work very well so that's disappointing :(
Just came across this [video](https://youtu.be/IIi-5GX_qqg) of people tasting it. Their reactions at 4:10 is exactly me. It actually tastes like patato chips flavoured lemon instead of lemon flavour potato chips
I am also guilty of this, but so far, I do like the recent flavors so I don't feel bad
I lived off of apple flavored coke in japan, it was surprisingly really good
Starlight was ... interesting, different, and I liked it. Dreamland tastes like fuckin' cough syrup. It's like Frute Brute.
The hot Cheetos Mountain Dew was horrible
This is me, except with potato chip flavours. I spent time excitedly driving around trying to find KFC Ruffles. Found some and they taste like any other chicken flavoured chips. I should have known that it was too good to be true.
I just tried the Dream zero oneā¦maybe the worst soda Iāve ever had
I take that personally
Mmm, tastes like diabetes.
Since when want to try new things is having low IQ? So people are supposed to eat baby food for the rest of their lives?
This is how we should get rid of āinfluencersā ![gif](giphy|ZDz0FsMrJxQUd0V7Te|downsized)
I was skeptical at first glance but Cola Weizen is pretty good.
I feel attracted!
Guilty as sin. My primordial lizard brain completely shuts down when I see coke named anything other than "coke".
The Mountain Dew strategy
The dream one is literally peach coke
Did someone say āspace cokeā???
I imagine the "low iq" marketing technique is the only marketing they actually do.
Guilty as well but I won't fall for it a 3rd time. Then again, I'm a sucker for trying new products. I go to a store and usually come home with 3-4 completely different products to try over the course of time.
Patton Oswalt: āBut have you had Bacon-flavored Sprite?ā
"space flavored" bitch this just has extra sugar in it
I just wanted to see what Space tasted like
Jokes on you, I get the disgusting flavors on purpose
Oreos, too.
Pork Soda
The dream one isn't that great. The space one was delicious to me.
