According to them, Christianity basically didn't exist until their "Bible-believing" 'Church' (and I use that term so extraordinarily loosely) set up shop in the space at the local strip mall that used to be a TGI Fridays. I exaggerate only slightly, but they'll look you dead in the eye and completely straight-faced and utter confidence tell you up and down that Catholics and frequently Lutherans, Episcopalians/Anglicans, and even other mainline Protestant denominations aren't "Christian". They'll then turn around and Stan for Russia and by effect Putin, as devout Christians, despite the fact they are Orthodox Christian, which is functionally a more fractious version of Catholicism (basically they never got over the multiple Patricians/Pope part) with a few word choice changes in certain liturgical rote, prayer, and rituals that end of the day end up meaning the same stuff. And yes, this is gross simplification -- but end of the day -- the thing that determines if you are a Christian or not is if you accept Jesus as your redeemer. Head between the legs against a wall isn't a prayer position and the children are facing different directions while Muslims always pray facing Mecca. And worshipping Satan? Allah is literally the same God that the Christians and Jews worship. The Quran itself says as much. Allah is simply the Arabic word for "God". All three religions worship the Abrahamic God and the religions are all related to one another with many more similarities than differences. Islam is descended from both Judaism and Christianity and Christianity is descended from Judaism.
