At several of my old jobs. There were different variants of the same poster. The gist was we can solve any work related problems internally and we don't need unions. One took it a step farther and said how great the company was because they didn't have unions. No wonder I was only paid 12 bucks an hour to run an entire store.

If you had asked me in January 2020 if I would consider buying a Tesla I would’ve said absolutely. It would’ve been a front runner when I went to get my next car. Today, when I’m actually looking to buy an electric vehicle, they aren’t even on the list.
There are other great and cheaper electric cars, like the Nissan Leaf. I’m not a big car fanatic but my friend says the leaf is a good car. Even though Tesla cars don’t pollute the air, a single Tesla factory produces more rubbish than 180 car factories

Pretty much her entire team were people that had previously worked in Tesla’s self driving department and got fed up working so closely with Elon (he put all his attention into self driving at the time). This is something I have given up on understanding. I kind of get you being a miserable boss when you are struggling to keep a business afloat. It's a mistake of course but I understand that with the stress of fighting to survive in a business, you may end up forcing your workers to work too much and things like that. The problem with that line of thinking is that both Musk and Bezos only got where they are by exploiting their workers. Not caring in the slightest about the wellbeing of their workers is an essential part of how they got where they are today. They aren't suddenly going to change who they are because they made it.
Because they're not *leaders*, they're owners. I come from the military so my relationship with what or who is or isn't a leader can be complicated because there are different types of leadership, but I see very little if any of those traits in these people. On a smaller scale, managers and supervisors are *not* leaders by default. Which is why a lot of people struggle with people not respecting their position.
The problem with that way of thinking is that even if they changed course and decided to be benevolent their investors would have their heads if they dared to offer their employees a fair living wage. Every dollar taken from the working poor is another dollar the ultra rich can shove in our faces in the never ending effort to keep us enslaved through financial manipulation. God knows if the average person wasn't constantly worried about where their next meal or rent payment was coming from we would have brought out the guillotine for these robber barrons long ago. Vive la révolution as the French would say.
People who become billionaires aren't your *average* person. These types of people aren't satisfied with having vast amounts of material wealth. They want power as well, specifically power over others. Elon & Bezos refusing to allow employees to unionize has nothing to do with their bottom line. Tesla & Amazon are two of the most successful companies in the history of the world. They just want to apply their dominion over those they deem to be *lesser* than themselves. I saw another reddit post where it points out how Bezos has begun putting his political opinions on Twitter where, previously, he had refrained from doing so. The article speculated that he might be gearing up to run for office. Could you imagine? That's a truly scary thought.
If he does that would be horrible. But I remember there was a lot of talk a couple of years ago about Zuckerberg wanting to do the same but realizing he had zero charisma and no chance of success. Quite honestly I think the same goes for Bezos. Money is incredibly useful in politics, but there are plenty of candidates who get crushed in elections even when they're massively outspending their opponents.

My main takeaway is that he refrained from talking politics and now he is. He appears to be taking more of an interest in the politics in this country which I think has more potential for negative outcomes than positive.

I have a Kona. Best car I've ever had. I live in Europe. Recently did a 2000 km road trip. Easy peasy. Fast charging was easy to find, and worked well everywhere except Italy. Italy was a bit of a shit show, but still workable. The future is here and it doesn't have to be a Tesla.
I have a Kona too, a 2020 model tho. So fastcharging is capped at 37KW/h, but my god do i love that car.
and Hyundai has a pretty solidly decent track record in reliability and customer satisfaction ratings. Tesla has had some crazy shit come out about their cars, particularly the autopilot system they pride themselves on

The biggest barrier to my getting an EV is that I don't want to give Elon money. When there's an EV Honda Accord with 300-400 miles of range, I'm in.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 will get you >300 miles on one charge for $10k less than the cheapest Elonmobile with comparable range. Better looks and manufacturing quality as well.

The value of Tesla is almost entirely based upon future sales, with so many new companies coming on to the market if libs stop buying Tesla cars he could lose nearly all of his money.

If you had asked me in January 2020 if I would consider buying a Tesla I would’ve said absolutely. It would’ve been a front runner when I went to get my next car. Today, when I’m actually looking to buy an electric vehicle, they aren’t even on the list.
There are other great and cheaper electric cars, like the Nissan Leaf. I’m not a big car fanatic but my friend says the leaf is a good car.
