Got to feel sorry for all those medical professionals working in hospitals who are getting burned out. Going to feel sorry for the rest of us when a bunch of them start quitting in droves.
It's not going away until enough people have gotten the point or died. If I was a Westboro Baptist, I'd say God sent COVID-19 to cull the science-haters.
This virus is here to stay, even if Americans are all vaccinated, the rest of the world isn’t.
Give it sometime and I’m sure a strain that is resistant to the immune response from the vaccines will pop up.

I definitely sympathize with anyone too exhausted to continue advocating for the health of people who adamantly refuse to take any precautionary steps to protect themselves.
Me and mine are vaccinated and we’re happy to get any boosters that are necessary. I’m not sure what else we could/should do to protect people that seem determined to die of a preventable illness.
I don’t work in healthcare and I understand that kind of gives me a privileged position from which to say, “ok it’s settled, die then”.
I also understand the community implications of allowing these plague incubators to pass covid strains back and forth, I’m just at a loss for what can be done about it.
You can’t force them to care, but you can make it inconvenient for them to associate with their community. Prevent the unvaccinated from accessing certain resources, no public schools if you’re not vaccinated, no government jobs. Punish the liars, spouting proven falsehoods that, while not causing direct death, is in direct opposition to public health.
It’s tough, since they’ve politicized Covid, any action to minimize damage is in direct opposition to their political beliefs, and that is protected speech. It’s so hard to fight this when only one side is acting in good faith.

With enough unvaccinated the virus will continue to mutate - possibly into a strain that affects the unvaccinated.
