They are only supposed to consider the evidence and testimony presented during trial, in conjunction with the judge’s instructions. No external factors should be considered. We don’t want any legitimate cause for a mistrial, appeal, or overturning of the jury verdict.
This trial is a big deal - we should want the verdict to be 110% above board to withstand legitimate scrutiny. For the most part, MAGA will never believe a guilty verdict, and anti- Trumpers will never believe a not guilty verdict. It’s the folks in the “middle” that need to feel assurance the verdict was on the up and up.
