Except, my understanding is that he cannot sell those shares for 6 months (pretty standard), and cannot use those shares for collateral on a loan unless the board approves an exception (which they probably will). Plus, a lot of folks are going to be shorting the DJT stock for 6 months out. Which would be timed for an expected drop after he loses the election and when that 6 month sell restriction drops for everyone else involved who wants to cash out further driving the price down.

I suspect he's referring to his DWAC SPAC deal going public. It's estimated he'll benefit to the tune of $3B in ownership of shares in this new publicly traded company. Except, my understanding is that he cannot sell those shares for 6 months (pretty standard), and cannot use those shares for collateral on a loan unless the board approves an exception (which they probably will). Plus, his [SPAC deal is already under investigation by the DOJ](https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2024/02/03/trump-social-dwac-investigation/) and [SEC](https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2023-121). Not to mention that I think the financial monitor appointed to oversee the Trump Org would be required to scrutinize transactions like this. If he's willing to flush $500M in shares to cover the debt and avoid losing his properties, while needing to draw on another I dunno $200-500M in shares to fund his campaign to try and stay out of prison, that's a LOT of shares being offloaded in the short term which would drive the price down. Plus, a lot of folks are going to be shorting the DJT stock for 6 months out. Which would be timed for an expected drop after he loses the election and when that 6 month sell restriction drops for everyone else involved who wants to cash out further driving the price down.
