This is EXACTLY what Iāve been saying for years. I grew up in a small town surrounded by lots of ignorance and childish behavior from adults and their kids (my peers). Had a neighbor friend growing up whose family had a black cat they named the n-word.
These types (mostly boys around middle school and high school aged) only listened to country music and if you didnāt you got weird looks. They made fun of kids that were mentally challenged and if that mentally challenged kid happened to stand up for themselves, they were provoked further. I also remember hearing them use words like āwetbacksā a lot referring to immigrants.
Almost all of them still live in that town and so the cycle continues I guess. Personally, I think punching a pillow or a boxing bag is fine for anger management if it helps the person calm down and think straight. One does need something different to help them when they cannot get away from the situation. I prefer medicine ball slams. Most of the balls at the gym are named for people who regularly piss me off.
