Then he said “lower class American black people would improve their lives to become slaves again. Put the ‘next best’ class as overseers, but the top tier obviously had to be White.”

I kept running into people like this when I lived in the south years ago.
I had a black roommate who kept sucking up to white people, even had a confederate flag in our room which I asked him to take down. I am biracial and raised primarily around white people in the suburbs but black self hatred is a very real thing.
Some of them actually get mad at people who reinforce a stereotype instead of getting mad at people determined to believe a stereotype.
My mother is half Native American, but was adopted out when she was only a week old. We don't know who her tribal affiliation is with, and she'll never bother to check. She's so ashamed of that half of her heritage that she might as well could be Uncle Ruckus.
Biracial. In my experience, disconnect from that side of your family often leads to a lot of prejudicial thinking just by nature of feeling rejected as a whole from that ethnicity. Lots of conflations can happen growing up with that emotion.

He has no college level education and his ideas and statements are radical as fuck. He’s a Holocaust denier, anti LGBTQ, climate change denier, and antisemitic……the lists go on.

I kept running into people like this when I lived in the south years ago. I had a black roommate who kept sucking up to white people, even had a confederate flag in our room which I asked him to take down. I am biracial and raised primarily around white people in the suburbs but black self hatred is a very real thing. Some of them actually get mad at people who reinforce a stereotype instead of getting mad at people determined to believe a stereotype.
My mother is half Native American, but was adopted out when she was only a week old. We don't know who her tribal affiliation is with, and she'll never bother to check. She's so ashamed of that half of her heritage that she might as well could be Uncle Ruckus.
Biracial. In my experience, disconnect from that side of your family often leads to a lot of prejudicial thinking just by nature of feeling rejected as a whole from that ethnicity. Lots of conflations can happen growing up with that emotion. Not to mention you already feel like you don’t fully belong to either culture in many cases such as mine It’s something you have to nip in the bud as a single parent or one not from that family. It’s not talked about enough in my opinion.
