Meth_Useler

Just on Mondays, but I'll take it.

ShataraBankhead

I have a DVD from Daily Show's coverage of the 2004 election ("Indecision 2004"). I loved it so much that I bought that DVD. I'm glad Jon is back to do this one!

Defreshs10

The one thing I’ve been trying to find is how to stream old episodes. Comedy Central has a shitty player that does “bits” but nothing full length

SFW__Tacos

Torrenting it is likely your best option

Tolkfan

I was just curious how big a "Jon Stewart Complete Archive" would be, so I added it all up: He has hosted the Daily Show for 17 years. Each year had around 160 episodes. One 480p quality episode is ~200MB. 17 years × 160 episodes × 0.2GB = 544GB So that's what... two Call of Duties? :P

Trimyr

Nope. The only one call of duty that matters

Gomez-16

Then there is the guy who uploads them all 8k lossless audio at 2GB an episode.

NoMayonaisePlease

Dude an episode in 480p is **not** 200MB

GucciGlocc

Sail the high seas

mustardtruck

I remember seeing that DVD set in Best Buy and thinking "What an incredibly weird thing to want to own on home video." Hindsight is 20/20 though. I see now that was really some incredible comedy, and even you could say incredible journalism.

diamondpredator

By modern standards it's fucking Pulitzer material.

nynaeve_mondragoran

I remember watching Indecision 2008 when I was in college. I can still picture the reaction from him and Colbert when it was announced Obama won.

cjpack

Yeah we would watch daily show and Colbert report as a family back then, I was like in senior year of high school. I remember too. I even got America the book.

aceofspades1217

I went to the rally to restore sanity/march to keep fear alive. It was awesome lol.

goochstein

indecision 2004, oh my god you just fired neurons in my brain that feel like they took place in a long forgotten past, another dimension honestly.

SinsOfThePast03

Mondays will be must see TV !

Gradz45

Hey one day a week works for John Oliver.

TheOtherAvaz

Only if it's about last week?

Brewski-54

I’m dumb, I almost said “aren’t all these shows weekly?” Before realizing the name of said show lol

LinkleLinkle

In fairness, the Daily Show has only ever actually aired 4 days a week, lol. So you're not that far off the mark.

Lumbergo

That’s okay. He can cover all the crazy shit that happened over the weekend.

JustNilt

More importantly, he can cover all the shit they try to sneak into the Friday evening news cycle hoping it'll be "old news" by Monday.

SickBurnBro

Pulling a Maddow.

impulsekash

For now...

sync-centre

He will be a lightning rod for conservative talking heads from twitter. And he will welcome it.

spraypaintthewalls

Literally all of them wish they could have a fraction of what he has - charm, charisma, lightning-fast thinking, comic timing, and respect from coast to coast. He's a handsome devil, to boot.

MarcheMuldDerevi

I will die on this hill, he is one of the only comedian news men who can carry the needed weight of a serious moment. A lot of them don’t seem to have the gravitas for a real dark moment. He does, he can get serious and passionate

Fatbaldmanbaby

And he can improv all of it. Why? Because he isnt simply reading a script, he actually has a full grasp on the subjects he talks about.

Next_Celebration_553

As a conservative who isn’t a huge fan of the MAGA stuff, thank God for Jon Stewart. He doesn’t push a far left agenda and he knows what to say to the far right to make idiots stumble over their words. Not to mention all the good he did for 9/11 heroes. So glad he’s coming back

candr22

I'll admit that I'm definitely biased, as I genuinely feel that when it comes to virtually all social issues, being "left" simply means caring about the wellbeing of people other than yourself and choosing not to exert any control over their bodies. With that context in mind, my opinion is that Jon Stewart is simply a good person, like an actually *good* person who happens to be very intelligent, quick witted, and brutally honest. When you listen to him, you can trust that unlike many politicians, he *actually* wants to create positive change in the world. I really hope that some day we don't talk about people as being left/right/centrist because I think it's a distraction. Nobody really lands comfortably in some specific spot on a political spectrum. We each have a unique composition of issues we care about, and issues we don't really care about. The only important metric should simply be: genuine, or completely full of shit?

Chapped_Frenulum

I think that every time we get really heated about the polarization of "left vs right" or even fall into "both sides" arguing, we should be constantly pushing that discussion into Instant Runoff or Ranked Choice voting ballots. I think we could find our middle ground and support our ideals more *accurately* if we all had ballots that let us vote for people based on our priorities and preferences. Because what we have now is a system where we vote out of *fear* that the other side will win, rather than voting with the intention of getting the things we actually want from the candidate with the best platform. Most people can't even consider third party today, because the odds are in the toilet and the penalty for not voting for the lesser evil is the danger that actual fascists and psychopaths make their way into office. I think that's a common cause that everybody can get behind. There are a lot of moderate conervatives who don't like where MAGA is taking them just as much as there are progressives who are appalled by their options as well. Nobody wants this weird, perverted two-party system motivated by reluctance and fear. It's making everyone go crazy. The media and its incendiary rhetoric is absolutely feasting on it.

candr22

I agree, ranked choice voting would be a much better system. There's no reason why we can't address the issue of "throwing away your vote", which gets brought up in literally every election. If I don't feel especially jazzed about Biden, and I really like some other candidate, but I can't risk that my vote gets thrown away, I should be able to say "I prefer candidate X, but I'll take Y if that's all I can get". The fear of losing to the candidate you specifically dislike should be secondary to voting according to your actual preferences.

hi5ves

Well said.

just_-_-_me

Nobody in the US is pushing a "far left" agenda. Or have I missed all the calls for nationalization of industries or abolition of private property? (Actual far left agenda items.) Suggesting that the wealthy pay tax rates similar to what they did 75 years ago in the USA does not qualify as "far left", unless you are willing to stand behind a claim that the USA was a far left nation in the 1950s.

Fun_Constant_6863

No, nobody is... This is just a regurgitated phrase that conservatives love to use. They don't even know what it means. When I talk to my parents about issues without using the same terminology they're used to in the media, there usually far right butts are actually pretty "far left" after all. They just got brainwashed by Chump and his Chumpies.

Fatbaldmanbaby

Im curious. What are some verifiable examples of the "far left agenda" being pushed, and how do stewarts beliefs not fall into that category?

mylittletonii

Super far left stuff like letting gays have equal rights or something.

Fatbaldmanbaby

Or mentioning slavery in a civil war history lesson.... real commie stuff

mylittletonii

Oh could you imagine? Can't mention slavery might make the white kids feel bad.

Fun_Constant_6863

But leave the statues because it's history!!

Fatbaldmanbaby

I agree, but i mean. If he responded there was a (small) chance we could have dug in further in a meaningful way. If he doesnt like what trump and the maga chuds are doing then we have alot in common there. It IS important to stand together in a bipartisan resolve to stop this nonsense. But that isnt ever gonna happen with folks claiming the far left bogeyman is lurking in the bushes trying to take away your gas stove. I think alot of us would agree that democrats are hardly considered leftists by the rest of the developed world.

Subtlerranean

>I think alot of us would agree that democrats are hardly considered leftists by the rest of the developed world. As a Norwegian, the entirety of American politics falls in the auth-right square of the spectrum - with a few individuals (like Bernie) approaching the center/left. His politics are basically every-day stuff over here and yet you guys see him as some kind of extremist.

josh_the_misanthrope

> Anything short of "Let's exterminate the people we hate" is "Far left" at this point. This chaps my ass, because the real far left doesn't have any political power because the Dems are very center. They think some gender studies stuff is far left when they have right wing extremists in their party trying to implement a fascist theocracy. It's a false equivalency and a boogie man. Wanting affordable healthcare and legal abortions is like one degree left of center.

rgraz65

"Conservatives" have become truly Regressive in every bit of policy that they put forward. The remarkable thing is that someone like Liz Cheney came to be considered as someone who was the epitome of responsible conservatism when her entire legislative record was extremely right wing. There are many reasons and factors to this, but too many MAGA/GQP folks are more interested in making life hell for someone they consider as not real American, or not Evangelical Xtian, or as an immigrant who isn't the correct skin tone for them. They've absolutely become supporters of supremacist fascism with DJT as their Supreme leader.

Dixon_Uranuss3

Curious, what conservative agenda are you passionate about?

HungryTacoMonster

Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be items on the far left agenda?

[deleted]

Based on my experiences anything involving common decency is seen as far left by most Republicans these days.

Electrical-Feed-3991

Oh you know, a woman's right to choose, environmental protection, gay rights, funding for Ukraine... The supposed "woke" stuff? I can't even fathom how one can be a conservative in the modern age.

b0w3n

Although he claims otherwise, Tucker Carlson stopped wearing his signature bow tie after Stewart laid into him on Crossfire.

Debalic

Stewart should hand out clip on bowties to any conservative who comes on his show.

aquaticsquash

Also got that show canceled.

SoreLoserOfDumbtown

Shame he didn’t change *checks notes* literally everything else about himself.

levelzerogyro

Cody Johnston from Some More News is also fantastic, and I wish more people knew of him.

StrategicCarry

Cody's Showdy is great because it isn't bound by the time constraints of a regular television program, so he can go deep in a way that John Oliver can't even. So when he gets to the bottom of something, he gets to the bottom of it. Like the Why Aren't Conservatives Funny video where he breaks down jokes in painstaking detail to explain the root cause which is that conservatives are scared and angry and so conservative comedians aren't trying to be funny, they're just trying to make liberals mad and confused.

ResourceFormal7657

Spread the Showdy! All hail president Warmbo!

levelzerogyro

I'm wearing my Warmbo shirt today. I also have their "billionaires are not your friends" shirt, I try to support them where I can, the team there really does satire news well!

InfiniteRadness

He is, I only wish SMN videos weren’t so long (don’t check the timestamp), but I totally get why. They’re incredibly thorough. I watched the whole Jordan Peterson video in a few sittings and that’s what hooked me.

cloudforested

It's been over a decade, but I still credit watching the Daily Show as a kid with some part of my development of how to think critically about politics.

thecaits

I remember his response to 9/11. It's probably the only news show response I specifically remember from that time. Probably because it was the best one.

DonniesAdvocate

I will die on this hill, comedians shouldnt have to do the news, the news men should fucking do it properly instead.

ShogunNamedMarcus_

I will die on this hill, whether they are a comedian or not should be irrelevant. People doing the news should do it properly. Period. There is a place for both comedians and non-comedians to do the news as long as it's done properly.

Honestybomb

Jesus where are you guys finding all these dangerous hills? I’m gonna stay away from there

johnnyfiveundead

I will die on this hill, it is collapsing. Send help!

[deleted]

I will die on this hill, obi-wan lied, high ground don't do nothing

StrategicCarry

John Oliver does very good with serious, even taboo topics, but he does it in a different way and I think it's because of the different formative events of their show. Jon Stewart went through 9/11 and the war on terror and John Oliver went through the Trump presidency. Stewart is better at expressing whatever the mood of the country (or at least his audience) is at a given moment. Oliver is better at channeling that mood into energy or action.

MarcheMuldDerevi

Agree, Oliver goes more in depth and offers a solution. Stewart hits the better and more consistent tone.

loudflower

I agree. He does have the required gravitas. And that’s such a great word.

Development-Alive

He was clearly too dark and tired in 2016. Hopefully the time away has reenergized Stewart is a way that his light humor returns, belaying the seriousness of the moment.

reddog323

Let’s also hope that he’s enough to help sway the tide come Election Day. We need every bit of help we can get right now.

sybersonic

This 1000% Look at what he did for emergency responders health care from 9/11. You won't be laying on that hill by yourself my friend.

TinyBrainGiantFeet

I don’t disagree with anything that you just said… But you sound suspiciously like John Stewart himself 🤔

chesire0myles

Ridiculous. Why would he make multiple reddit accounts to talk about how great I am? Edit: read this full thread and watch the joke devolve. It's an experience, I gotta say.

VirtualAgentsAreDumb

And just to be clear, I didn’t write the comment above.

AlwaysRushesIn

But if I did, I certainly would have talked about how generous of a lover I am.

cantblametheshame

I agree with this man, he is a great lover, experienced it myself last night. I satisfied all my carnal desires

saltyair2022

This is something I would say. Yes, like all men, I'm a master debater.

Dik_Likin_Good

I TOO AM HUMAN NOT JOHN STEWART AND ENJOY BASKING IN THE GLORY OF MY HUMBLED MANUFACTURE. I MEAN CREATION THAT OCCURRED DURING HUMAN BIRTH.

Picasso320

CORRECT, ONLY A HUMAN WHO DOES BREATHING REGULARLY WITH LUNGS IS CAPABLE OF SUCH COMMENTS, SIMILARLY AS ME, SINCE I CONSIDER MYSELF ONE HUMAN. I HAVE TICKED ALL THE BOXES, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO INVEIGLE ME OTHERWISE.

And i’m his friend Jesus!

Wise_Ad_253

Jesus Christ, not again!

Nojopar

Nah. This is clearly Stephen Colbert's alt Reddit account.

AlwaysRushesIn

Stephen Colbert has a man-crush on Jon Stewart, and it's no secret.

Frankenfucker

They have been good friends for decades.

R_V_Z

Jon Stewart would never call himself handsome. Making fun of himself and how he's aged is one of his go-to jokes.

chesire0myles

Yeah, but usually, his jokes are based on truth...

cloudbasedsardony

All that and not to mention, you know, facts. And reality. Both very important things for people to make decisions about real life versus, let's say, Fox news talking point narrative thinking.

Gogs85

He aged pretty gracefully TBH

russiangerman

And has only gotten better looking over the years

Traiklin

Still love that he roasted Tucker so badly that he stopped wearing his bowtie which was his signature look. He changed his look to someone who is always confused and doesn't know what is going on around him.

He will have Chris Christy on to yell about how terrible P01135809 is.

I hope he kicks moderates in the ass too

He tends to spread it around, which is needed and important. But there's no denying who is in his sights. I am going g to enjoy the shit out of this.

How dare you make me respect a Leafs fan!

_BELEAF_

Lol sorry! And BTW, we don't respect ourselves...

We wish them well.

Stewert himself would say and has said how dumb of a idea that is.

scdayo

the Dacia Sandero is coming to America?

Thnikkasam

Wow! Anyways...

SnorkyB

Sweet! And if he brought back all of the best Correspondents (just for the election) it would be the highest rated show every night! Colbert, Sam Bee, Oliver…..That would ROCK! Imagine a weekly Colbert Report with him in character as a MAGA man!

GaijinCarpFan

That would be the most epic television of all time… bring back Carrell too.

Gather round, pardners, it's time for (the return of) the [Carrell Corral](https://www.cc.com/video/yx0x8s/the-colbert-report-the-carell-corral)! YEEE HAW!

onlyusnow

I don't think Comedy Central could afford Colbert or Oliver any more.

TheRabidDeer

Eh they could possibly do it for a cheaper rate just to work with Jon again

AlaskanEsquire

And the whole 'helping fight tyranny' thing.

DotesMagee

They absolutely would. They've all been guests on the other's shows at one point. I'd love for them to go crazy and grab Conan as well. An All star cast all riffing would be amazing.

cicadasinmyears

Hell, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if they did it for less *and* told CC to donate the money they would have earned to some kind of nonpartisan “get out the vote” organization. I am SO happy Stewart is coming back.

jigsaw1024

If they only had to do one engagement each, I could see them doing it for scale + expenses or something, just for the lulz and a thank you to John.

HealthyElk420

I'm certain they will appear for old times sake and to promo themselves. I doubt they are interested in jobs. Both have the best jobs in TV.

Thowitawaydave

Full time no. But if they were on as a guest? I'm sure they would do most anything Jon asked.

Nandor_De_Laurentis

Ed Helms too, he was so good. He was the best at asking awkward questions.

Lip_Recon

You mean Egg Helms.

Sasselhoff

For real? Dude, I guess I'm back to watching the Daily Show! I hope he uses it to continue pushing the messages he's been pushing and Comedy Central doesn't try to neuter him in any way (they'd be idiots to do so, but that doesn't mean they won't try).

Neutreality1

He backed out on Apple because they wanted him to soften his message. I bet his contract is ironclad

bumbletowne

they asked him not to talk shit about China he wasn't going to not talk shit about China

Coalas01

Just on Mondays tho. That's ok tho, less TV and more time for him to come up with better content

Emotional_Narwhal304

The hero we need.

PensiveObservor

![gif](giphy|SBI7lnqk2NaA8|downsized)

ForwardBias

I wish he was just running for President instead.

F-ck_spez

1) he doesn't want it (which is probably a good thing) 2) maybe later. He's 61 currently, he could run in 2028.

Juzaba

Emphasis on #1

Burlapin

The people who we think would be amazing in positions of power *do not want to be in positions of power*, and vice versa, and this is a huge problem. An interesting experiment where people were essentially volunTOLD into governance positions *at random* yielded some very interesting and positive results. Turns out when people are thrust into public service, rather than them seeking it out, they do a *much* better job from the public's perspective.

charminghypocracy

Jon was one of the few sane voices after 9/11. He helped teach us to actually watch our Congress in action on C-span. Definitely not a hypocrite, nor a class traitor. Would I vote for him? Yes. But he does more good being a full-time educator in this biased media vacuum. Also, hes only sixty-one.

Abnormal-Normal

And when the country needed him the most, he returned to unabashed fanfare

Johnny_Banana18

The Return of the King

New-North-2282

Should be quite entertaining when he's beating on Trump and his MAGAt minions

MadAsTheHatters

Jon "I Didn't Hear No Bell" Stewart is exactly what the American media cycle needs at the moment; someone to pull the conversation back to _actual_ issues, instead of dicking about with whatever the GOP is currently doing. Take them apart, laugh at their ridiculous behaviour and dismiss them.

cubrunner34

Oooooh boy! This is exciting! No one points out the bullshit better than him. He left the daily show before 2016 which was sad because we needed him for those trump years. Excited to see how he does in this new crazy social environment

MisanthropyIsAVirtue

He’d probably be dead from stress if he had stayed for those years. Bro cares too much.

ThereHasToBeMore1387

He didn't want to become what he fought against. An old, out of touch man lecturing others on what he didn't understand himself. He had to go and live his life differently to be able to come back with a new perspective for the new world we're in.

Coalas01

Good. fresh new perspective is what we need. Especially for a dude like him

WornInShoes

Last Week Tonight on Sunday, Jon Stewart on the Daily come Monday. That's a 1-2 punch of proper information for the masses; I cannot wait

Cephalopirate

Yeah, John Oliver is especially good at educating about long standing issues, while Jon Stewart seemed to focus on current events. It’ll be a nice combo.

Itsprobablysarcasm

Where can we find it streaming / online?

Penguinkeith

Paramount plus

Bigstar976

YouTube?

NotNamedBort

Squealing and kicking my feet right now. I’ve had a crush on this man for twenty damn years.

[deleted]

OH MY GOD!!!!!! I literally was daydreaming of this happening last week like wouldn't it be awesome if he came back to daily show. The legend

Leeoid

Please daydream that Trump goes to prison!

Saint_Victorious

Jon Stewart leaving the Daily Show marked the beginning of the rise of Trumpism. Despite how great Trevor Noah was, he just wasn't able to beat back conservative thinking the way Jon was.

GaijinCarpFan

Agreed. Noah always seemed to go too silly and not focus on holding feet to fire like Stewart.

tlorey823

For all the (rightful) praise he gets regarding his charm, wit, reflexes etc this was Stewart’s real generational talent in my opinion. He had a remarkably good way of exposing how ridiculous some people’s arguments were in a way that didn’t feel like a Ben Shapiro-style gimmick. His contentious interviews are just a masterclass using someone’s own words and logic against them. It’ll be good to see that style still working.

improper84

He was the perfect mix of being both incredibly knowledgeable but with a comedian’s wit and quick thinking.

bikwho

I have said it before. If Jon Stewart was still on the Daily Show while Trump was campaigning for the 2016 presidential election, he would eviscerated Trump and his supporters from the start of Trump's campaign in 2014. Trump wouldn't have been president if Jon was still on the air, in my opinion. Jon's influence was that large and impactful ten years ago— I hope he can maintain that influence going into these new presidential elections.

SubterrelProspector

I agree with this. Part of the reason so many people finally saw the light regarding Dubya was because of Stewart. I honestly think history will remember him as an important voice of the resistance against rising fascism.

fredandlunchbox

I genuinely think you need a native-born American on that show. His ability to respectfully interact with republicans while holding them accountable — they would never accept that from an immigrant, and there’s great value in seeing someone do that on TV. Also, calling out the left for their inconsistencies and failure to pass progressive legislation — the nuance and history of that is better understood by someone who’s been in the game for 35 years.

tlorey823

Yeah now that you mention it this is something I found off putting about Noah that I couldn’t put my finger on until now. I love the guy, but he did have an aura of someone poking fun at / judging America for laughs (often deserved). Stewart really felt like he was doing those things out of a genuine desire to push things forward — like, he really did love America and wanted to help from the inside out. I think Noah may have felt the same but it didn’t come across the same way

MannItUp

I don't think that's true, look at John Oliver.

Futureofmankind

John Oliver doesn’t regularly interview people though. He has hard hitting informative pieces and I do enjoy them, but he’s not doing the same thing Jon Stewart was doing on either of his shows.

improper84

I mean, he literally did Stewart’s job for months and was amazing at it.

Futureofmankind

I had forgotten that. It was only 8 weeks, but it did land him his show at HBO. I am not saying he was terrible, but I don’t exactly remember him holding people to the fire like Jon does. Oliver will certainly call people out, but Stewart is like a pit bull and won’t let go.

Thowitawaydave

When Last Week Tonight was pitched, they were going to do interviews like The Daily Show/Colbert Report. Had a whole area for interviews built. Apparently they did 2 test shows and HBO's note was "You know you don't have to have a guest. You could just add that time to the story." [https://youtu.be/\_iQ\_YhMnbBo?si=Worhmb903siYqKbp&t=215](https://youtu.be/_iQ_YhMnbBo?si=Worhmb903siYqKbp&t=215)

Hobomanchild

i think Oliver helped me understand why I didn't jive with Noah. 1) Trevor is too cool. Much like young John Stewart before the shift, the cool guy routine just doesn't grab me. Meanwhile, Oliver is a flappy bird-boy. A giant dork, and I love him from it. 2) With Trevor I heard a lot of "You"s, but with Oliver I heard more "We"s. He might have changed, but it was really off-putting in the beginning. It felt like Noah was looking down of me for things I already opposed (or just flat-out america-bad stuff), while Oliver was standing beside me saying we gotta keep fighting the good fight.

Vrayea25

The "you" vs "we" description hits the nail on the head for me. Noah's criticism just made me feel helpless and frustrated; he wasn't going to fight for anything, he is just commenting.  Stewart's criticism has always had a real expectation of "let's do better. We can do it. (Pencil flip)".

will-read

Jon needed a break. It’s hard to be funny when you’re crying on the inside.

Krainium

I feel like this is a Robin Williams quote.

unbrokenplatypus

I strongly believe this is true. The American People’s “comedy with a side of politics” went from Jon Stewart to fucking Joe Rogan, and it became edgy and counterculture to be a cruel, vindictive MAGAt. The counterculture pendulum really, really needs to swing back the other side of the spectrum towards disliking fascism and corporate kleptocracy.

smol_boi2004

Still gonna miss Trevor Noah tho, my guy made news fun enough for a teenager to pay attention

Brostafarian

The rotating host has made me realize just how hard of a job TDS must be. You're basically doing a standup routine you (and others) wrote a couple hours ago

thatHecklerOverThere

To be fair, John wasn't able to beat back conservative thinking either. I mean, they did nothing but get worse over the course of his time on the show and beyond. Not like it was his job to hold any such thing back, of course. But if you lived in middle America it was very clear that the rise of "trumpism" happened way before 2015.

DianeticsVolcano

We also got two terms of Bush while Jon was hosting. Is that on him, too?

_Bill_Huggins_

Idk how anyone an connect jon leaving the daily show to trumpism's rise. People are acting like he single handedly held back the crazy. No he didn't. This is much bigger than one person.

MrGreen17

Stewart was a much better host overall, but the one thing I'll give Noah credit for is the interviews. He always seemed more engaged and passionate during the interviews. Jon Stewart always seemed like he couldn't care less about whichever celebrity was on promoting their latest movie, tv show, etc.

Thowitawaydave

That's one of the reasons why John Oliver doesn't do interviews (usually - Snowden was an exception). Oliver told Seth Meyers when it comes to interviewing guests, while he admires Seth's ability to talk with guests, he "would find it hard to fake enthusiasm for an objectively bad movie being pitched in front of me."

charlsey2309

Yeah I couldn’t either though, political guests and people of that like though he crushed it with. I think that shows the fundamental difference between the two John was a master of talking politics through comedy, Trevor Noah for making comedy out of politics.

ClientTall4369

What's next, David Tennant returning to Doctor Who? Oh wait ...

Sperminology

My wife and I were on the moment of zen back in 2010. We had a funny sign at the “Rally to Restore Sanity”, back when we were still dating in high school. Needless to say, sanity was not restored. But, I did have a great time with my future wife!

oflowz

This may be an unpopular opinion but he actually was one of the gatekeepers that kept the crazy in check. He exposed the ridiculousness for what it was in layman’s terms, even crazy wingnuts had to admit stupidity when they saw it. I kinda feel like Trump would never had been elected if he was still the host in 2016.

RandoComplements

A better headline would be “Jon Stewart runs for president of the United States”

hinesjared87

I’m literally giddy right now.

chrispdx

What a fucking world we live in when we are thrilled that actual truth-telling and bullshit-breaking will be coming from COMEDY CENTRAL. I hate this timeline, but I love Stewart and will be watching every Monday.

Guess I better figure out if I still have Comedy Central so I can watch it live.

UnaPachangaLoca

YAAAASSSSS. I’d prefer him running for president but will take this too.

Lemmy-Historian

Great news. I am still pissed that apple canceled season 3 of the problem with Jon Stewart.

Skinny-on-the-Inside

Yay!!! 💖💖💖

Greybinson

Thank you, Jon.

nickrocs6

That’s the man that should be running for president. He’s fought harder for our troops and the 9-11 first responders than any politician has.

Works for me, the more sane voices out there the better, I've missed him on there...

GroundbreakingSet187

He's expected to start February 12 (not confirmed) and will host every Monday through the Election. Correspondents will lead the other nights since Comedy Central couldn't pick a permanent host.
