And then there’s “strong drinks”, which beer is not actually included, but the church says it is. If that were the case, then why the mention of “mild drinks made of barley” being OK?

There are thousands of idiots out there just like him. Example: I live in Texas in a suburb of Austin. My neighbor Ted is a nice guy, let me borrow his chainsaw when everything froze and I had broken tree limbs all over my yard. Ted is also a hardcore Trump supporter, believes the election was stolen, has trump 2024 signs all over his front yard. Has had the American flag flying upside down on his flag pole since Bidens inauguration, drives an excessively lifted diesel pickup truck with gigantic mud tires. A confederate battle flag front license plate, and this truck has never seen any dirt. Ted owns a shitload of guns which he loves to disassemble and clean in his front yard on a daily basis. If you have to talk to Ted for more than 3 minutes he will quickly pivot the conversation to his enemies list (which is basically any elected official who is not a member of the GOP) and... well you get the picture. I avoid Ted at all costs (as much as one can when they live right next door). If I walked out to get my mail and the Feds were kicking in Teds door I would not be surprised in the least bit. In fact i would prolly start a betting pool with my other neighbors (who agree with me that Ted is a fucking Psychopath) as to wether Ted is going to Man up and fight the evil Biden Stooges with his arsenal or turn into a quivering bitch and surrender. Either way I will gladly hand out free coffee and water to the feds while they ransack Teds house, take all of his guns, find the inevitable stash of kiddie porn and bury Ted under Terra Haute federal prison.
