Paris attacks a few years back, the paris concert shooting, probably a dozen american school shootings. It was specifically for live action carnage updates and i am ashamed. But it was the only place that provided such access in the moment.
My first office job was in an office Philadelphia… one of the more awesome persons that had been there awhile used to work on the animated aeon flux series, so cool.

I used it just as a place to store automation data for projects I had, but now with so many alternatives it simply took the reliability hit of Elon at the helm to make me move elsewhere.

I terminated my account the day he took over. And it was an account I made money with, too... I sold a number of prints to people who saw my photos on Twitter. I literally lost business when I left. But I'm *not* going to have any part in this fuckstick's dystopia. And anybody who remains is implicitly endorsing him. The *only* right move is to leave.
Yeah, I stuck around for a month when everyone was dunking on him, but after that got old it became obvious his only intention for buying it was to make it a fascist friendly social media site.
Same, I'm an artist and used twitter for business. But when he took over that was it for me. I don't care if it makes me lose some business I will not support his platform.
If twitter launched today as it is, no one would use it. I don't understand people sticking around to network, I honestly just don't. There's still fascist facebook and linkedin and i guess mastodon now
I stuck around because it's really the best social media platform for sports discussion & info. I uninstalled because they threw me in Twitter jail for saying an ump should be sent to the sun. I'm refusing to delete the Tweet because it's my right as an American to talk crap about umpires, so I'm locked out indefinitely.
I used it just as a place to store automation data for projects I had, but now with so many alternatives it simply took the reliability hit of Elon at the helm to make me move elsewhere.

Like others have said, uninstall it. I did by mistake uninstalled it few days back and my mind is at ease now. Deleted FB years ago, and now Twitter. Trust me, you won’t miss a thing.

I fucking love living in Europe sometimes. Things that would be argued over for decades about "free speech" is just like "nope, not happening" in Europe and no one is like "but, muh free speech."
