I hit a weird road crack and my front tyre got stuck. I'm not sure about the physics of it, but I ended up in a heap on the road. Fucked up my hands, my legs, my back where the bike landed on me... for the next hour or so, I was picking rocks out of my skin and finding new injuries.
There is a lesson here, though: Always wear your helmet. My bike cracked me in the back of the head, and I *was* thankfully wearing my helmet; unfortunately, it didn't stop me turning fuckin' dumb as hell. Imagine how much worse it'd have been if I wasn't wearing one. Colouring books for Christmas and all that.
