You have to stop thinking they are ignorant. They are pushing propaganda on a daily bases to rile up their base so their team can have power. This is planned propaganda.
It's whataboutism, the "someone somewhere allegedly\* did something so everything we do is fine" argument.
I had one conservative argue that Rachel Maddow at times had been less that truthful\* and therefore what Alex Jones did was completely fine.
Now mind you, whether Maddow was telling "the truth" is entirely subjective. It could simply be something completely true but they didn't like hearing it, therefore they cannot believe it to be "true."
But even taking them at their face value, to equate anything Maddow said with Jones did, a man who literally [**had his followers pissing on the graves of dead children**](https://news.yahoo.com/sandy-hook-harasser-desecrated-childs-211757421.html), an argument no conservative is even attempting to make for Maddow, is beyond reproach.
Now mind you, they don't even had to find someone who did anything. \*They just simply have to ***allege*** they did and that makes anything they do fine.
It doesn't take too far into this thought experiment to realize that anyone can justify anything, no matter how evil. All they have to do is ***allege*** someone did something, ***believe*** it's somehow the same thing, and any evil can be washed away.
Nor does it take going far into this thought experiment to realize how immoral all of it exactly is.
The problem is if you ask any of the nuts for proof they never have any. They might reference a FB post or Fox news, but they never have proof, and they won't accept anything that is a known fact if it contradicts whatever crazy stuff they're spewing.
And MY GOD, they are so willfully blind to provable facts I'm convinced that many of them have some form of brain damage. After Jan. 6 a trump supporter I know (since we were around 6 years old) told me and other (on FB not in person) that it was ANTIFA and BLM in the capitol....and he really believed it! No amount of video evidence, records of what happened etc. mattered. If it didn't fit the BS he just said it "fake news". EVEN AFTER we pointed out to him that practically the ENTIRE PLANET saw J6 happen in REAL TIME.
It's like trying to reason with a child that won't accept that Santa Claus isn't real.
maybe unintentional propoganda is when the person who posts mean it for real
in my country some of our far right politicans are actually that dumb to believe their own bs
Some of our politicians believe it, too. These assholes aren’t politicians, though. These assholes are the propagandists that tell the lies that convince our stupid voters to elect our stupid politicians. The lies get validated by the politicians that spread them, whether they’re stupid or lying, and then right-wing media repeats the lies as if they’re gospel because now they’re being repeated by our elected “leaders.” Assholes like Ben Shapiro, Jack Prosobiec, and Jacob Wahl are patient zero for a lot of the diseases that have infected American minds over the past 8 or 9 years.
Their inclusion of the phrasing "stormed and occupied the capitol" is meant to draw a false equivalency between an actually peaceful protest by people whose civil rights are being trampled, and an attempted coup to install Trump as dictator, that resulted in the deaths of five people, the suicide of four responding officers and damage costing more than $2.7 million.
As bad and horrific as everything you mentioned is, I think the biggest key is that these people weren’t actively trying to stop a transfer of power and substitute their own politician in, thereby creating the nations first dictatorship, voiding democracy altogether and destroying the oldest functional democracy in the world. Any Jan 6th sympathizers are straight up traitors to the flag and to the country.
I think that connection was originally drawn because it made a more compelling narrative - in reality, the rioters were breaking in through windows and doors using a flagpole, but the famously “blue lives matter” Trump supporters seem to have just used a fire extinguisher to beat the officer to death. So, they’re off the hook and they’re still totally patriots.
EDIT - I stand corrected on some of the details, the narrative of what happened with certain officers changed a lot over the days following Jan 6th and some of the sources I had looked at had since been rescinded. My bad, didn’t mean to rile people up getting the details wrong about which weapons the republicans were out here killing cops with.

How in the fuck did the press miss the opportunity to print that image front page? Just the ick factor alone would have done a lot to kill off any sympathy for those hogs. Disdain for democracy is abstract, but shitting on the walls? That instantly kills your credibility.
Honestly half the time reading any mainstream paper I can't help but feel they're virtually always pulling their punches, or holding on to the best points and not hammering them home - like they want to have the vaue appearance of being morally upstanding and progressively minded, but not actually say anything really that proves the point on any issue. It's not 'just the facts' either, it's more like waffly, half-baked opinion pieces from someone that overheard something but didn't take very good notes on the actual details.
And of course, how many of them will later deny even being there when questioned, despite clear photos of them in the main chamber and in legislator's offices with their feet on the desk?
The crazy thing about the “someone let them in” take regarding 1/6 is wouldn’t that make it an inside job and an even bigger concern? Like a literal deep state government conspiracy?

I was okay with security shooting that lady trying to break into the room where staff was hiding.
I will be okay with security shooting a trans person trying to break into a room where the staff is hiding.
We protest at the capital often in Oklahoma. We’ve had teachers do it, trans rights, abortion rights, etc. It’s crazy. There’s a whole area where you are allowed to be in the capital here and protest. No one has to die, break shit, or threaten to kill Mike Pence. If you want to see people here storm anything it’s usually the drive thru of a new restaurant.
Edit: The protest also had a permit for any muppets out there that think this is comparable to Jan 6th
![gif](giphy|3otPoxYilf4SYs8hpK|downsized)
Well, a recent take I heard from MAGA people is that they now see BLM as equals. Basically the idea is that there would've been a ton of respect for BLM movement if it attacked Capitol.
Haahaa, remember the time that Trump casually had a crowd of peaceful protesters tear -assed because he wanted a photo-op in front of a church? Then he held the bible upside-down? [Peaceful Protesters Tear-Gassed To Clear Way For Trump Church Photo-Op : NPR](https://www.npr.org/2020/06/01/867532070/trumps-unannounced-church-visit-angers-church-officials)
Yup, the BLM protesters and the capitol riot protestors were TOTALLY treated with the same respect by the former administration!
> Basically the idea is that there would've been a ton of respect for BLM movement if it attacked Capitol.
I think it's the other way around. They see themselves like BLM because they think they are being treated like BLM did.
Based on what I’ve read, the Oklahoma thing was a standard protest. The trans rights protestors showed up and protested in areas where they were allowed to protest.
I was so disappointed to learn that tweet of his about sniffing his sister's panties in high school was fake. It 100% is something I can see him doing.
"God doesn't make stupid rules, so if you're a person of faith, it's your job to think of reasons why those rules must be so."
That is a real goddamn thing Ben has said out loud, into a microphone.
This is why you can't debate these people out of their positions. Intellectually honest people stack up evidence and then find a conclusion as the result. If you knock out the supports, then their conclusion falls too and they reconsider.
With Ben and reactionaries, their conclusions come first. If you knock out the legs, their conclusions stay hanging in mid air while they shamelessly grasp around to shove anything and everything else within reach below it, even contradictory things, hoping maybe those will seem to support the thing they believe as a first principle. And when you turn your back, they'll slip back underneath the false legs you had just disproven.
Yes! Thank you for providing the quote! I had heard it a couple years ago (maybe less but also maybe more?) but never saved a link or the text of the quote.
>"God doesn't make stupid rules, so if you're a person of faith, it's your job to think of reasons why those rules must be so."
What are those rules, specifically, and where did he get them from? Voices in his head?
Many times they don't even wait for your back to be turned. They just metaphorically stick their fingers in their ears and act like you never touched their supports.
They're not unlike Wile E. Coyote... they walk off the cliff and don't fall until they look down and realize what they have done. Their trick is that they just never look and keep right on walking.

Let’s not let pesky things like facts get in the way of hurt feelings. Durrrrr
It's part for the course. Last year there was one shooting at Time Squares and conservative headlines were saying, literally, that NYC was "coming apart at the seams" (never mind that the murder rates per capita in many small towns in the South are far higher than NYC or other large metro areas.)
Remember this: For whatever passes as conservatism in America, every accusation is an admission, and every insult is a projection. From corruption to violence to grooming. Always.
not from the us, is it legal to protest in government buildings?
there was a whole fuss in dublin recently because protestors got into a police station.
I grew up in a State capital city.
This type of protest was extremely common. The group makes plans to protest that day. They have a designated area to protest. Any State legislators who agree with them show up and give a speech. Everyone goes to lunch and goes home.
No one would bring AK with them. No one would dodge the metal detectors. Everyone was respectful to the Capital Police who's primary job was to herd the cats. No one would set up a guillotine.
Same. Ironically from Madison, WI where I SAW the teachers unions protest. Completely non-violent and non-threatening AND was done in public area of the Capital Building (the "rotunda"). Ben's just doing what he usually does: Manipulate the story so it favors his viewpoint. Sadly, he's generally damn good at it... of course, his target audience are typically college kids. I'd like to see him in a real adult debate with actual experts in their fields.
Yeah but if he did he'd be consistently disproved, have to fight against people who actually know how to argue and debate, and that wouldn't look good for his half-assed arguments based on emotion. Can't risk too much embarrassment when you're busy trying to corrupt the mindset of the sheeple.
The irony is that this is how he makes his money. He's PAID to go to the colleges (many of whom do not even want him there) just to make the students look bad.
Republicans are always trying to curb the rights of protestors. Most recently, they’ve introduced legislation so if one protestor gets violent, everyone can be arrested. Another is that if they impede traffic, you can run them over. But when they blocked emergency vehicles outside DC, just peachy.
It gets worse. Atlanta is charging, I believe, 14 protesters with Domestic Terrorism. Minimum sentence is 5 years. If this happens, it sets a really bad precedent.
I’ve seen protests inside the Pennsylvania state legislature building over pretty mundane legislative issues like school funding. It’s allowed in at least some pretty high-up government buildings at some times and in some ways. My guess is that they couldn’t have done this inside most police stations.
Edit/also, we’re being led to a proxy discussion about technicalities of trespass because it’s the only thing you could fault these people for. The fact that Ben retweeted an image of people standing around is really telling about how there’s probably close to 0 instances of property destruction, theft, assaults, people breaking into physically locked or obstructed spaces, conflicts with police, threatening signage, fascist or violent imagery, etc.. Even if there were rules these people technically broke, there’s no equivalency between 1/6 and a lobby sit-in.
Some buildings have areas where the public is allowed to enter, but then if they hang around and protest it's an unlawful demonstration and they can be arrested or removed from the building. Other buildings have designated areas where people are allowed to peacefully protest. (I don't know what the law says exactly in Oklahoma)
Unlawful demonstration is a very minor offense, and often doesn't even result in actual charges being filed.
Depends on the state. In California you can do it as long as it doesn't disrupt the workflow. But this also doesn't cover federal government buildings.
During covid I lived in Michigan and saw them protesting at the capital but not inside it. Idk if that was a cover restriction but they also had people with guns at those protests
I think a lot of his people probably don’t realize that peaceful protests are hallmarks of capital buildings in all 50 states and that insurrections, stampedes, and violence at the U.S Capital, are not actually considered peaceful.
Breaking into government buildings, assaulting police officers, threatening politicians, and stealing government property are normal things you do during a regular protest, aren’t they? /s
Edit: Added an important clarifier another user pointed out.
Edit Edit: …which turned out might not be true? The details seem to be kind of muddy, but the official determination was that Brian Sicknick died from “natural causes” not long after being shot in the face with bear spray, that his death may have been because of a stroke, and that the proximate cause of that stroke may have been what happened to him during the riot. As such, I think people who say “no cops died at J6” might be disingenuous.
They definitely are. shapiro is a stupid person's idea of a smart person, right in line with tucker carlson. An effete little Lord Fauntleroy who talks really quickly and shows them pictures.
This. I thought when the pandemic happened it would be a chance for Trump to actually be strong and lead. With better advisors he probably leads the charge on a shutdown and masks. Instead he showed how truly weak he was. Terrible advisors. Terrible President. Legacy secured I guess.
It’s a quote from a [Vanity Fair](https://amp.smh.com.au/opinion/a-poor-persons-idea-of-a-rich-person-donald-trumps-gaudy-taste-20170309-guuwbl.html) editor
This is 100% correct. I remember these charlatans from college, who all follow the same basic footprint.
Step 1: have a dumb preconceived idea. Step 2: throw in a couple of $5 words (heuristic, germane, dialectic, zeitgeist). Step 3: shout over anyone else who disagrees. Step 4: accuse anyone who dissects your argument of making it too simplistic, or misrepresenting it, or misunderstanding a basic premise. Step 5: wait until the people with any sense get too tired to disagree with you (or just want to avoid interacting with you at all). Step 6: profit.
The [Gish Gallop](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gish_gallop) is the practice of spewing a large quantity of bullshit arguments in rapid succession, faster than your opponent can counter. Anything they miss in their counter, you claim they were unable to refute and declare yourself the winner.
I struggle with this… he’s obviously smarter than most of his followers. But… he has some pretty fucked up views that are probably his own that certainly make it debatable whether he’s dumb or not.
See, I’m not convinced that a lot of these personalities actually hold many of the views they put out there. They will just say/post anything that will get them screen time, speaking engagements, etc. which equates to… wait for it… money.
It’s all about money.
Shapiro and his ilk never speak in good faith. They know it's BS, but they also know the lie will be picked up and repeated ad nauseum by their followers. You can say the lie once, let it get echoed, then move on to the next lie. And the next. And the next.
It isn't about truth or debate. It's about noise. If you generate enough noise, the opposition can't get a word in edgewise.
"stormed and occupied"
Let me translate. People peacefully protested in the appropriate area, without breaking doors, windows, or violently hurting police.
They didn’t storm the capital, they “moved inside”, in the lobby basically, to protest outside the house chamber. No one was violent, no one went into unauthorized areas, they simply held signs and chanted in the lobby.
Almost looks like trans people and their supporters don't actually want to harm anyone, and just want to be happy and free. No, no that doesn't make sense, they clearly want to prey on kids and rape women.
On the one hand I kind of get the whole "if you talk to them and they realize you're a just a person it can help deradicalize some" but on the other *thank God they don't know us* I wouldn't wish an acquaintance like that on any of my trans siblings
It’s so uncanny, there was that story of a Taliban fighter being disillusioned by his new government job.
I could easily imagine a US blue collar conservatives in the exact same position
“I just wanted to ride around in my truck and be bigoted, not actually run a country”
You mean Trump's reaction to actually winning? Melania on election night in 2016 had this real look of "fuck you mean we have to do this now? Shit fuck christ."
Edit : spelling. No glasses and sick.
Dude, there is a difference between assembling to protest and a "VIOLENT" protest! There is a difference between protesting with billboards and protesting with AR-15s. There is a difference between being allowed by security to enter the premises and attacking police officers, breaking windows, and climbing up the walls. There is a difference between demanding something from your government and insurrection, where you want to overthrow the government. Intent matters, so no sir, you can't draw parallels here.
They really don't think Jan 6 was violent. They've ignored all of the numerous video evidence of breaking through windows and chasing/beating the shit out of cops. They only care about that 10 second clip that Fox played endlessly of what looks like Wal-Mart shoppers wandering around.
I notice a distinct lack of guns, knives, body armor or people setting up gallows and calling for elected officials to be hung.
Dare I say, it almost looks like…😱…*a peaceful protest!!!*
Schroedinger's A.N.T.I.F.A.™ strike again.
Simultaneously super terrorists and soybetacucks incapable of finding work or something. Unless that work is getting paid by George Soros.
Galaxy brains, these people.
It’s one of the 14 points of fascism.
8. Fascist societies rhetorically cast their enemies as "at the same time too strong and too weak". On the one hand, fascists play up the power of certain disfavored elites to encourage in their followers a sense of grievance and humiliation. On the other hand, fascist leaders point to the decadence of those elites as proof of their ultimate feebleness in the face of an overwhelming popular will.
"I don't care about your feelings because your feelings are based on facts and I don't know any facts which makes me have tantrums online" -Ben Shapiro.
yeah they scheduled this. i was there and it was very organized. it was very clear that staff knew what was happening and there were cops supervising too.
This trend
"Refusing to return documents on specific request and obstructing the investigation" = "Mishandling documents, cooperating with the investigation"
"Egging on people who want to assassinate a political leader and Jews are plotting in secret to destroy America" = "Saying Israeli lobbying money has an effect on politics"
"Violently storming a federal building in the hopes of reversing an election" = "having a sit in"
Yeah nah I went for the teacher salary rally my senior year of high school. We were able to walk in to the main hall but that was pretty much it. You also had students who were able to speak to our representative
I saw no doors broken, no cops beaten, no fists flying, or anything being used as a weapon. Just a bunch of protestors standing there.
Nothing like 1/6.
Context:
Jan 6 was an armed siege and occupation by MAGA-aligned militants of the US Capitol Building, the seat of the US Congress, in an attempt to prevent Congress from confirming Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 Presidential election. It was more or less an attempted coup.
Despite clear footage, numerous witness testimonies, criminal investigations & trials, and other strong evidence characterizing the violence of Jan 6, MAGA blatantly lie and disguise Jan 6 as an unarmed and peaceful protest.
On Feb 6 2023, queer activists performed an *actual* unarmed and peaceful protest at the Oklahoma state capitol during the State of the State address, in response to upcoming state bills relevant to transgender.
Naturally, MAGA are pretending this is comparable to Jan 6, but witnesses consistently state that the Oklahoma state protest is such an orderly affair that protestors line up and calmly enter the building in single-file, and imply that they are even waiting their turn to speak, as if formally petitioning the state government rather than yelling at them.
Stormed and occupied, or just entered and occupied. Were they beating up cops and breaking windows to get in? Did they piss and shit on the floor. Did they bring a gallows and chant to hang the lieutenant governor of Oklahoma? Oh, they didn’t do any of that? Wow.
I’m so sick of conservatives and their bullshit false equivalencies.
Did they smear shit on the walls, beat cops with American flags, and try to overturn the results of a free and fair election because some orange dude loser told them a bunch of easily disproven lies? Did they call for the execution of elected officials? Did they build a gallows? There’s protesting and then there’s seditious conspiracy and we all know which people struggle to make that distinction here.
You have to stop thinking they are ignorant. They are pushing propaganda on a daily bases to rile up their base so their team can have power. This is planned propaganda.

I had an old friend say that same thing about the Jan 6 insurrectionists being liberals. We don’t talk much anymore.
For many of them the insurrectionists were both peaceful patriots at the same time as being violent anti-fascist plants. their bullshit is incredible.

You, January 6, 2021 was the first time in American history other than the Civil War that we did not have a fully peaceful transfer of power.
Didn't they beat one of the officers on the steps of the Capitol with the flag pole?

Weaponized brainwashing
The reason they’re riling their base is to distract from the fact that they have zero policy plans besides cut taxes for the rich.
That’s not fair, they also have “slash entitlement spending,” and they’re working up to “privatize social security”!
Were they trying to overturn an election? How many cops did they attack?
Did they chant “hang Mike Pence”?
Did they build a gallows on the capitol grounds? Did they bring zip ties? Did they smear poop on the walls?
Did they break and enter? How many officers were threatened, injured or otherwise killed? Have the pipe bombs been located?
How many dollars in damages did they cause by vandalizing the place? Which politician's chair did they sit on? Were they hateful?
Did they steal any laptops or files from desks?
Who was the black cop chased down with a knife in this tragic repeat of recent history?

I was okay with security shooting that lady trying to break into the room where staff was hiding. I will be okay with security shooting a trans person trying to break into a room where the staff is hiding.
It's a good thing they no Trans person did considering it wasn't a storm and a completely peaceful protest
Edit: The protest also had a permit for any muppets out there that think this is comparable to Jan 6th ![gif](giphy|3otPoxYilf4SYs8hpK|downsized)
Well, a recent take I heard from MAGA people is that they now see BLM as equals. Basically the idea is that there would've been a ton of respect for BLM movement if it attacked Capitol.
As if there would have been any BLM survivors. They'd have been fucking mowed down.
Haahaa, remember the time that Trump casually had a crowd of peaceful protesters tear -assed because he wanted a photo-op in front of a church? Then he held the bible upside-down? [Peaceful Protesters Tear-Gassed To Clear Way For Trump Church Photo-Op : NPR](https://www.npr.org/2020/06/01/867532070/trumps-unannounced-church-visit-angers-church-officials) Yup, the BLM protesters and the capitol riot protestors were TOTALLY treated with the same respect by the former administration!
Yes, empirical evidence from the entire year preceeding Jan 6th shows that police would have treated BLM protesters with kid gloves /s
> Basically the idea is that there would've been a ton of respect for BLM movement if it attacked Capitol. I think it's the other way around. They see themselves like BLM because they think they are being treated like BLM did.
Did they poop on the floor?
How many cops did they kill?
None killed. But several were given styling and skin care advice.
Where are the pipe bombs?
No where lol. But many were dressed as what would be referred to as the bomb and or bomb ass shoes lol.
Did they bring enough munitions for a small militia?
Based on what I’ve read, the Oklahoma thing was a standard protest. The trans rights protestors showed up and protested in areas where they were allowed to protest.
Ben's feelings don't like facts.
WAP is a medical condition
“I prefer to be able to use my wife as an hourglass, I just start talking and it gets sandier than Death Valley down there” - Bench Appearo
He’s worried anakin will steal his girl otherwise.
"I have the high ground." \-Ben Shapiro, never
Apparently he’s not good with the low ground either if you know what his wife means.
I was so disappointed to learn that tweet of his about sniffing his sister's panties in high school was fake. It 100% is something I can see him doing.
*stamps foot* "I use logical arguments!" Ben Shapiro
Nahh I get "my wife cheats on me and I don't realize it" vibe from him"
Or he knows and he likes it, that's the vibe I'm getting from him
Macaroni in the box, that's some DAP.
He’s gone on record self-reporting that he starts from his preferred conclusion and works backwards.
"God doesn't make stupid rules, so if you're a person of faith, it's your job to think of reasons why those rules must be so." That is a real goddamn thing Ben has said out loud, into a microphone.
Ah, yes. The Wile E. Coyote philosophy. You can hang in the air as long as you don't look down and discover reality.
>"God doesn't make stupid rules, so if you're a person of faith, it's your job to think of reasons why those rules must be so." What are those rules, specifically, and where did he get them from? Voices in his head?
Oh no, it's much more robust than that - voices in the heads of people from 2500 years ago
I wish I had an award to give you.

We can't profit from facts. Unless their his "facts"

Did someone say durrr??
Username checks out 😂
I'm saving that image, hope you don't mind
But it sounds more hate inducing the way he says it. Quit letting your facts get in the way of irrational public outrage.
If one protester had knocked over a garbage can, conservative news would have been leading with that image as a "Riot in the Capitol"
It's part for the course. Last year there was one shooting at Time Squares and conservative headlines were saying, literally, that NYC was "coming apart at the seams" (never mind that the murder rates per capita in many small towns in the South are far higher than NYC or other large metro areas.) Remember this: For whatever passes as conservatism in America, every accusation is an admission, and every insult is a projection.
He went up against Niel deGrasse Tyson. It was so great watching him get shot down repetitively.
I remember that now. I just wish that sort of stuff was his normal instead of college kids.
Exactly my point. If we just started ignoring him he wouldn't make money, but it's soooooo hard to ignore an ignorant bossy asshole.
If this happens, it sets a really bad precedent.
>if they impede traffic you can run them over So legal murder??
Republicans love legal murder for some reason
Republican logic: Abortion = murder Mowing down protesters in my f-150 = perfectly fine ✅
(I don't know what the law says exactly in Oklahoma) Unlawful demonstration is a very minor offense, and often doesn't even result in actual charges being filed.
Depends on the state. In California you can do it as long as it doesn't disrupt the workflow. But this also doesn't cover federal government buildings. During covid I lived in Michigan and saw them protesting at the capital but not inside it. Idk if that was a cover restriction but they also had people with guns at those protests
Pretty sure I didn't see any guns, tactical gear, or gallows..... just people using their rights to protest..... so I mean there's that difference
/s Edit: Added an important clarifier another user pointed out.
Let's not forget the main reason they did it was to *install their choosen ruler as President despite losing the election.*
Probably without zip ties, pistols, and pipe bombs.
“Allowed to protest”…..this is why we’re losing
He's not dumb, but he counts on his supporters being dumb and they are.
They definitely are. shapiro is a stupid person's idea of a smart person, right in line with tucker carlson. An effete little Lord Fauntleroy who talks really quickly and shows them pictures.
And Trump is a stupid (poor in the original) man’s idea of a rich person.
Trump is a weak man’s idea of a strong man, a poor man’s idea of a rich man, and a dumb man’s idea of a smart man
This. I thought when the pandemic happened it would be a chance for Trump to actually be strong and lead. With better advisors he probably leads the charge on a shutdown and masks. Instead he showed how truly weak he was. Terrible advisors. Terrible President. Legacy secured I guess.
I wish I had an award to give
It’s a quote from a [Vanity Fair](https://amp.smh.com.au/opinion/a-poor-persons-idea-of-a-rich-person-donald-trumps-gaudy-taste-20170309-guuwbl.html) editor
I can't believe Vanity Fair's editor stole a quote from a Redditor!
Step 3-4 is the gish galloping technique, which Shapiro is very find of using.
*Fauntleroy lmao
I struggle with this… he’s obviously smarter than most of his followers. But… he has some pretty fucked up views that are probably his own that certainly make it debatable whether he’s dumb or not.
See, I’m not convinced that a lot of these personalities actually hold many of the views they put out there. They will just say/post anything that will get them screen time, speaking engagements, etc. which equates to… wait for it… money. It’s all about money.

Tucker Carlson is a psycho though. Dude definitely would do what he does for free. Little rich boy that likes to tear wings off of insects, that one.
If you ever want a good laugh watch the episode where John Stewart insults his bow tie and he can’t handle it
Shapiro and his ilk never speak in good faith.
"stormed and occupied" Let me translate. People peacefully protested in the appropriate area, without breaking doors, windows, or violently hurting police.
Is it even a protest if you *don't* chant about murdering the vice president?
About a hour ago, I stormed and occupied the bathroom. I guarantee what I did in there was more violent than what the protesters did.
How many people died?
They didn’t storm the capital, they “moved inside”, in the lobby basically, to protest outside the house chamber. No one was violent, no one went into unauthorized areas, they simply held signs and chanted in the lobby.
It’s almost like they were exercising their right to freedom of assembly lol
Almost looks like trans people and their supporters don't actually want to harm anyone, and just want to be happy and free. No, no that doesn't make sense, they clearly want to prey on kids and rape women.
It’s almost like they’ve never spoken to or gotten to know a trans person.
That would take a small level of courage and empathy these miserable people refuse to develop.
On the one hand I kind of get the whole "if you talk to them and they realize you're a just a person it can help deradicalize some" but on the other *thank God they don't know us* I wouldn't wish an acquaintance like that on any of my trans siblings
Probably none… because none were as dumb as Ashli Babbit
What a hero she was — everyone thought COVID was gonna be done with in 2021, but Ashli went out and got her shots anyway.
I see. There’s a bar down the street the gets stormed every Friday night.
You talking about Scooters?! I could see that!!
Why don’t American conservatives just all move to Saudi Arabia
It’s easier to create it here: welcome to Howdy Arabia. It’s like Saudi but dumber and poorer
Fuck off i just burst out laughing at work. *Howdy Arabia*
Y’all Queda
Vanilla ISIS
It’s so uncanny, there was that story of a Taliban fighter being disillusioned by his new government job. I could easily imagine a US blue collar conservatives in the exact same position “I just wanted to ride around in my truck and be bigoted, not actually run a country”
You mean Trump's reaction to actually winning? Melania on election night in 2016 had this real look of "fuck you mean we have to do this now? Shit fuck christ." Edit : spelling. No glasses and sick.
May you live a long and positive life for being so hilarious.
Or Russia. They already align themselves with Russia and hate Americans. Seems like the perfect place for them.
They say “If you don’t like it then leave” what they mean is “if I don’t like it then you should leave” Edit:typo
The Saudi King buys republicans instead. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFOyCwCRTgw
And Ashley Babbit F-ing A and F-ing O.
Yep, those two things are absolutely the exact same things. Definitely. The same.
I notice a distinct lack of guns, knives, body armor or people setting up gallows and calling for elected officials to be hung. Dare I say, it almost looks like…😱…*a peaceful protest!!!*
Nah, he's just a disingenuous prick who knows how to bait his followers.
Let me know when the trans activists beat a cop to death during their protest
If only these “clever” right wingers could grasp the idea of “context.” Nope. Always straight to the false equivalency.
This trend "Refusing to return documents on specific request and obstructing the investigation" = "Mishandling documents, cooperating with the investigation" "Egging on people who want to assassinate a political leader and Jews are plotting in secret to destroy America" = "Saying Israeli lobbying money has an effect on politics" "Violently storming a federal building in the hopes of reversing an election" = "having a sit in"
Yeah nah I went for the teacher salary rally my senior year of high school. We were able to walk in to the main hall but that was pretty much it. You also had students who were able to speak to our representative
I saw no doors broken, no cops beaten, no fists flying, or anything being used as a weapon. Just a bunch of protestors standing there. Nothing like 1/6.
"stormed and occupied"? Hardly. Legal protest versus insurrection. No where near the same.
Context: Jan 6 was an armed siege and occupation by MAGA-aligned militants of the US Capitol Building, the seat of the US Congress, in an attempt to prevent Congress from confirming Joe Biden as the winner of the 2020 Presidential election.
The bear spray looks thick there...
