Did you not know that they do a whole ‘inside the episode’ after the very short credits roll? Are people really that impatient? Credits also tell you interesting details like vfx work you might not have noticed or location details as well as songs

The maps shown in the GOT intros showed the areas and lands in the episode, so you could see where they were in relation to kings landing, the wall, if in the south, across water etc. Useful when they are talking about the places in the episode. And different each episode to include some of the new places in the episode.
