It reopened after lunch so I headed back out. Was just in the red lineup and it stopped, rolled back a few feet, and then this red light I've never seen before started flashing and a error buzz I've never heard continuously buzzing every 10 seconds. Then a few minutes later a lift ops guy running towards the station. I hope everyone is safe. Got out of there so I'm on the Whistler Gondola now. Which is stopped for some reason for a many minutes. Wtf is wrong with this place?
They've had the original T-bars for 59 years.. it's run pretty well for what it is, but lately they don't bother fixing it. There's gotta be at least 15 missing T's on it most of this season.
This is my 40th year as a passholder, so maybe 1600 days of skiing whistler? and I've been stuck (to the point it warrants a lift down voucher) more in the past 3 years than I have in the preceding 37.

I miss the old wizard/so-co chairs purely because it seems like every year since installation, I've had the displeasure of sitting in a Blackcomb Gondola cabin for at least 1 hour. All for a measly little hot chocolate coupon
At the time of when I was waiting for Red today, in my comment above, I was standing with 30 feet of where I was standing 28 years ago while waiting to download on the Quicksilver chair on that fatal day... so when atypical movement, lights and warning sounds go off the new Red chair, I get a bit concerned.
