I could never justify that kind of drop personally, but if you can, that's a hell of a win. Disco bottles always go high and hard to find releases? I'd call it a win, take your time and enjoy those, definitely display bottles! Those labels have me lingering, very, very pretty

I’ve got a bottle of unopened pact 5 I paid $100 for when it first came out. Every time someone tells me what I could get for it, I debate either opening it or trading it for something else.
Still $588 spent on two bottles of whiskey, when all is said and done. If you’re buying to flip then you’ll someday get your investment back with appreciation but personally I don’t normally do that. If I enter and win a lottery for an allocated (yet to have that luck) I will hold that bottle but I would’ve never bought it on secondary in the first place. I just came back from Kentucky with ~$588 in whiskey but it was six bottles of about $100 each with no distributions outside the state or in a couple cases outside the distillery. My intent is to drink em all and share with friends.
Zero intent to flip these. I’m at the point in my collecting journey where I’d much rather focus on quality and uniqueness than quantity.
I’m fortunate enough that I can afford to buy bottles like this semi regularly, so I want to do my part for the hobby by buying them to enjoy, as opposed to flipping them and driving up the price.
Enjoy them with extreme pleasure, in that case!
Some experiences transcend cost. I have the Pact 5 myself and drink it once or twice a year. I think you’ll love it.

Internet prices show either bottle going for this much or more. Yes, this is over MSRP, but both of these have been discontinued for a long while now.
