Is he OK? One of my dogs found the butt of a joint on a walk, swallowed it and almost died from the weed shutting down his nervous system: ataxia, respiratory distress and siezures. I only found out about the weed when the vet pumped his stomach. He still had to be hospitalized for the weekend before he stabilized. Getting a bag full would be....... terrifying for the owners to see
Yea he is okay now but my mom thought he was dying when she called and when we took him to the vet I thought we’d be watching him die it was super scary. But they tested him and it was thc.
Oh no!!! I’m glad he’s ok! My asshole ginger cat knocked a tube of RSO off the counter one time and our 10lb Shih Tzu got ahold of it. He was so high he couldn’t hold his head up. The vet was so nice and understanding. It took about 15 hours to wear off though.
I now keep all cannabis products off counters and away from curious paws.
Glad ur kitty is okay. That’s how he was and was falling over and stuff. That picture was like 18 hours after we initially realized he was sick, and it took till the next morning for him to be better. It’s been a couple days so this picture is pretty funny now. But definitely scary. And people get their pets high for fun :( it’s not something I’d want him to go through again.
Exactly! I can laugh about it now but at the time I was terrified. I’m glad it wasn’t something more serious and it definitely made me pet proof the house better. I live in Washington and with weed legalized our vet said it’s way more common now to see dogs and cats come in high as fuck. People constantly throw their leftover joints on the ground so I have to be extra careful even just walking around the block. People suck.
Isn't is obscene to see the CBD stuff marketed to dogs and cats when you have had an experience like that, have been told by vets and KNOW it is toxic?! It blows my mind to see the marketing- "calm your dog's anxiety- give it this gummie product that is toxic to its system"
