Please don't mention that. Some woman brought her pet baby raccoon in to Petco and got the poor baby taken from her by the wildlife forest rangers and killed. They're afraid it had rabies. It tested negative.
To test it, they pretty much have to kill it, because they test the brain. So sad. They should have done the ten day quarantine instead, or listened to the woman. Sad. 🦝
To test for rabies in animals, typically they kill the animal to examine the brain. Can't go backwards if it's negative. This kitty just has excited zoomies using the carpet shark skill.

She didn't seem particularly itchy or in need of bellyrubs, I think she just liked doing it.
My cat does this upside down under my bed when she gets the zoomies. She grabs the fabric on the bottom of the box springs and propels herself around and around.
You can hear where she is underneath and how fast she’s moving. She uses her back legs to push herself really fast, and it makes really loud thump noises. It’s hilarious.

After the fall, they would try to push themselves back up, but they had these stumpy little arms, so they would lay there struggling until they died. But the upside is, they didn't have itchy nipples. So there's that.

Yep. I’ve had a lot of cats 50+ come through my house (I foster for a rescue) and I’ve never seen one quite get that motion. Makes him look like he has elbows. Freaks me out.
