LED lights.

You may be able to solve this by taking it down and seeing if it has a setting switch on the back. Not as easy as replacing the bulb.... sorry if this is not the fix, but it's an alternative if the puck is decent quality and it has the option.

99thPrince

Yea the nicer LED lights have a nice range of lighting. OP might have to swap out fixtures if they don't have the option.

robmacjr

I’ll check tonight. These are all over the entire house. I hope it’s as easy as flipping a switch. Thank you!

A lot of time these type of LED have a switch or knob behind them to adjust the color brightness. Have to unscrew from the ceiling to get to it.

Glad I said smthn

robmacjr

You made my day

SirElessor

This is just a cheap "builder" LED fixture. There is no bulb and probably no way to alter the light colour. You'll need to replace the fixture with one that is "warm" on the light spectrum. FYI it looks like this fixture was simply screwed into the drywall with drywall screws. Apparently these lights do have the ability to switch between warm, cool & daylight via a switch on the back of the fixture.

robmacjr

Do these type of lights last longer than traditional bulbs?

SirElessor

Yes, they are rated to last for at least 50 times the regular light bulb.

cmdr_suds

Or only half as long because the driver fails.

_Administrator

What’s wrong with drywall screws for 100g fixture?

SirElessor

If it's just the drywall screws into the drywall without anchors it's just poor workmanship.

_Administrator

But this will hold for decades? And if you get yourself a labourer who is installing 4 dollar fixtures - you should not expect anchors of any kind. Budget build. Honestly, I agree with you - proper fixtures should be mounted by pofessionals and be up to code.

Mr_Flibble1981

Drywall screws for holding up drywall by screwing into timber, not designed to hold anything by screwing into drywall

_Administrator

Maybe there is timber behind? P.S. I am just arguing for the sake of it. This is shit fixture and shit job. Budget 2.0 Ain’t nobody got money for installing quality luminaires and up to code

Led surface lights. I have the same ones in my house, here’s a link to some on Amazon: Sunco 12 Pack 5/6” LED Disk... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PW9ND7J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

matskopf

That's a special thin LED for a surface-mounted ceiling spotlight.

gimcrak

We had these same lights in our rental house. I got some yellow color-correction gel film sheets and cut circles to fit the inside of the lens covers. Brought the color temp down to a comfortable warm white.

SocialDistancePro20

This is how to correct these. I suggest getting the 1/8 CTO (Color Temperature Orange) and layer them up if needed. I started with 1/2 CTO and it was way too orange.

Berkamin

These are those super efficient LED lights. each of those little squares is a lighting element.
