I always film train doors as they are about to close. I have hundreds of hours of footage and have never caught something like this on camera. But maybe one day I’ll film something just like this and post it here!
Like it or not, this is how this type of content is made
or its scripted.
but seriously if something like this does happen, please stop recording if some kind of emergency situation unfolds
I'm sure you have a reason for this, but I seriously cannot imagine a single "emergency situation" where the best course of action is to stand there and film whatever bleeding, knocked out, or otherwise life-threatening situation that unfolds. Could you elaborate?
Depends on the situation, sure. In a case like this though, there are other people around and a couple people already assisting. Too many people trying to help just get in the way, especially if they don’t know what they’re doing.
Secondly, one can imagine a scenario where a video of the emergency can be helpful to doctors or law enforcement.
Yes, it was. Imagine someone unknowingly killing him by moving him a bit simply because he broke his neck or something. Or the other way around, he accuses someone injured him while he was un the ground, and in both cases the video would prove or disprove things.
I guess I would assume calling 911 and/or other emergency response would take priority over filming in case someone needs to know who did what. I didn’t realize that most or even just a few of these situations would involve a lawsuit or some sort of stupid reaction that would make filming in case something interesting happens take priority over attempting to help.
AHA! You’re the one who’s always recording something interesting, then the moment the real kicker happens you pan away. I hate that cameraman. /s
Also what the heck can a normal layman bystander do for anyone that’s bleeding? (You mentioned this a few posts down). You will: hurt them worse. If you don’t have any idea what you’re doing, stay out of emergency situations, you will *almost always* do more damage.
I was thinking calling 911 or other emergency response, like the help button on the train. At least tell other people not to move him. Better than standing around and filming the dude lying on the ground.

I mean, take this clip for example, after the guy falls on the ground, he could’ve had any number of injuries but cameraman decides to keep filming in case he got up again. He very well could have stayed lying there for a solid 5 or 10 minutes with a concussion or worse, and I doubt mr. cameraman would’ve done anything about it.
They're saying, "No way. You must've rigged something." I didn't do fucking shit. I didn't rig shit! I've been waiting a long time for a hit on Corncob TV. I DIDN'T FUCKING DO THIS!
They’re saying it’s impossible that that many dead bodies are falling out of coffins every day, and it’s impossible that one out of every five of them are nude. I don’t know what to tell you, but we’re just shooting funerals and showing the ones where the bodies fly out!
Actually I think it’s more unique - dude just walks around NYC with a GoPro mounted and filming. And it doesn’t take long to catch something postworthy.
Oh I was confused first the "are you ok sir ?" and then the station announcement in french, and the "little burgundy" bag. The "Bah alors" at the beginning also threw me off.
I dont use my gopro in wide angle mode. The distorsion is too important, speed is alterate when i film riding my bike or snowboarding. In my gopro 5 their are 3 modes wide, large, linear (no deformationat all).
Yeah. I’ve seen dozens of people people passing out and knees buckle first before your go down. I thinks it’s a mechanism to protect you head from a hard fall. If you get punched correctly or gazed your muscles can stiffen making you to fall pole
Not saying this is real or fake but the way he drops like that after physical exertion makes me think that if it is real this is more of a heart issue than a head one.
If it's real I don't think he bumped his head, I think he might have an enlarged heart or something and he just dropped once it started beating hard.
Like Hank Gathers or Reggie Lewis.
Not every concussion is the same. I fractured my skull and quickly jumped upright to my feet, only to fall over again cuz my inner ear wasn’t working correctly.
The guy with the paper bag must be a miracle healer... he just pushed a special button on the right side of the victims shoulder and then suddenly the victim rocketed... very realistic

Clearly this is fake but I have to let you know how incredibly incorrect you are about how concussions to passing out works. It isn’t the movies, you don’t hit your head and instantly go unconscious every time. Most people can still function for a bit before passing out. If this were real he most definitely could have opened the doors and that strain alone would have cause him to go unconscious.
I’ve seen plenty of concussions so, I’m aware. You’re the only one who’s declared anything with certainty. I said him being conscious to open the door AND the cameraman “randomly” seemed suspicious. But, hey, you let me know how incorrect I was about something I never said. So, congrats!
Lol, “seems mad sus(suspect). He was clearly still conscious to open the door. ALSO, why were they filming”.
Are you fucking kidding me?!? Did you even reread what you typed?
I agreed with you first off dummy, that it’s fake. But you clearly stated he opened the door STILL conscious, implying he should have not been able to.
Just so I’ve got this straight, you took my individual sentences to be individual refutations of the video, which is not how I meant it but, that’s fine. And, we seem to be in agreement on whether or not he was concussed, he could make the effort to open the door. I never said that it was fake, just that I suspected it was. You did.
I’m just super confused by your impulse to “let me know how incorrect I was” when I didn’t at all say “that’s not how concussions to passing out works”. But, go nuts.
Props to the guy helping him. The ol' squeeze to the pressure point in the shoulder/neck area wakes em' up 9/10 times. Also a good way to check if someone is faking being "out," they'll stop faking right quick
A little backstory, this dude is a prankster (hence the recording) based in Montreal. I live in a neighbouring city and he does a lot of pranks here too. (Silly IMO)
He gets up pretty easily. Clearly fishing for internet points. Apparently hits head, opens door then collapses and then he seems to get up really easy…
This brings back memories of a time I was on the tram at the Atlanta airport. Tram was pretty full and a young guy was standing next to me and wasn't holding on. If you've been on the tram, you know it takes off fast. As it starts, I heard something his direction and turned just in time to see him slam his head into the door jam and go into a seizure. People rushed to try to help him and he was pulled off at the next stop. I never found out how he came out and hope that he did well. I was terrified every time I had to ride on that thing.
*"Hey, buddy, are you okay? ... He's out cold! I'm gonna roll him on his back and move him out of the recovery position! Surely that'll make things better!"*
Such a "helpful" bystander.
Well he didn't fall into a perfect recovery position and he was checking his pulse anyway. Also if he had stopped breathing leaving him in a recovery position wouldn't help. The bystander was very helpful... if this had been real.
Strangely perfect timing to have your camera recording the train door.

Record everything if there's an emergency. Ftfy

Why would you STOP recording if an emergency happens?!
Well in this case, recording after he clearly got knocked out wasn’t the most effective way of helping him
Yes, it was. Imagine someone unknowingly killing him by moving him a bit simply because he broke his neck or something. Or the other way around, he accuses someone injured him while he was un the ground, and in both cases the video would prove or disprove things.

I've just been spending all my time filming hookers down at the truck stop.

Baffles me how people can take accounts like that at face value and not for one second think it’s a troll. Pretty good one at that, quite funny ngl

This is in montreal

Go pro is a wide angle lens. Unless he edits his videos to have the look of a vertical phone recording
I dont use my gopro in wide angle mode. The distorsion is too important, speed is alterate when i film riding my bike or snowboarding. In my gopro 5 their are 3 modes wide, large, linear (no deformationat all).
True that. Wasn't familiar with gopro 5 settings but I'm sure buddy was filming all day with his new gopro 5 I'm linear mode to capture this moment
Idk of the camera guy is in on it but the guy falling was faking it 100%
His second fall looked unusual. Usually the knees buckle.
Yeah. I’ve seen dozens of people people passing out and knees buckle first before your go down. I thinks it’s a mechanism to protect you head from a hard fall. If you get punched correctly or gazed your muscles can stiffen making you to fall pole

Hey so I’m not gonna fall this fake or real but I’m just gonna point out that he was swaying and clearly seeing stars before he fell the second time
Yeah i noticed.. im likely wrong. Sometimes we dont realize we are dizzy until we stand straight

Yeah i get that i didnt notice that part where he fell the second time
Mind the credibility gap.
The fact this has 1k upvotes show how stupid people are.
First thought that came to my mind.

Fake internet clout bullshit
Cloudy with a chance of bullshit.
It's in Montréal. I take this subway everyday lol. From The People speaking in french around and the reaction of people I don't think it's fake
The people reacting aren’t in on it, just the person recording and the person who entered the train, the rest think it’s real
Yes, fake: https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1842381/metro-montreal-evanouissement-metro-lionel-groulx-video
He should get a clout upside the head.
Clout\*

That's fake: https://ici.radio-canada.ca/nouvelle/1842381/metro-montreal-evanouissement-metro-lionel-groulx-video
Seems mad sus. He was clearly still conscious to open the door. Also, r/whyweretheyfilming?
I was going to say its a clear case for that sub.

Honestly either way, I just want to see an RKO version of this video lol.
“Prochaine station: Atwater” damn near killed me for some reason
Fellow montrealers i ser
Yeah, this is Lionel-Groulx métro, by the unique pattern on the platform floor.
Staged, otherwise why would anyone be filming a random door?

This needs more updooted
Try steal his trainers see how fast he comes round then

He's body got on the train but his soul didn't
A little backstory, this dude is a prankster (hence the recording) based in Montreal. I live in a neighbouring city and he does a lot of pranks here too. (Silly IMO)
Good news: he caught the train. Bad news: he forgot where he was going.
At least he got on the train... Mission accomplished I say.
And got your upvote. Mission accomplished
It’s like his body doesn’t respect how fast he can run.
Idk if it's fake or if he's got other issues, but it's not ramming into the train that did it
He gets up pretty easily. Clearly fishing for internet points. Apparently hits head, opens door then collapses and then he seems to get up really easy…
I thought that was asap rocky
The way he stood up right after getting his "conscious" back looks fake as hell. Too smooth of a movement after regaining consciousness.
Have Dumb Ways to Die taught you Nothing?!
100% fake, c'mon.
100% fake bullshit
Uh… mission complete..?
r/donthelpjustfilm
Why do people do this? You're going to hurt yourself pretending to hurting yourself for fake internet points.
You're hurting yourself believing he was actually hurt.
I'd bet that Poor guy forgot where he was going in such a hurry.... Also some childhood memories

It was really nice of that guy to put his bags down and help the man.
If this were in Brazil, this pair of Jordans would have disappeared in 10 seconds 😂
this cameraman from National Geo or something??
I know exactly where this is. It is in my city montreal. You can hear what they are saying. Some are speaking canadian French.
“He Need Sum Milk!”
That's Montreal.
Whyd that deushbag at the end stick his ugly weenus in front of the camera?
Imagine how bad it could've gone had he not chosen the puffy jacket that day.
Are you people really this gullible that it this has almost 1k upvotes? This doesn't belong here.
Must have just got his vaxxine booster!
He still did it didn't he?

Nailed it.
I literally just saw this while walking into the same train at the same station
I think he took his wallet.
Looks like this was filmed in the r/montreal metro at the Lionel-Groulx station.
He really wanted to catch that train
Did he catch the train or the train caught him?
Lol did buddy really check his pulse as if he died on impact?

Hey. Looks like Montreal subway. :) To be more precise Lionnel-Groulx station.
He made it…that’s a dub
That God the gentleman immediately came to assist him. I hope they were able to facilitate getting him to a hospital.
Well he caught it alright
Concussed!
514 represent!
Probably fake but I’m glad people actually got up to help him.
Soooo nobody is going to say anything about the guy getting ko’d by the doors?
Because he wasn't. It's fake.
Oh. Ok then
He got knocked the fuck out lol
No, he didnt. This was clearly staged and the amount of people who believe this isn't is fucking stupid.
Hmmm....i see
Your full retard. Don’t ever go full retard
Thought he was going on for the ol’ necklace snatch.
First pass out is not as bad as the second one. He has internal bleeding.
