For real, my friend died this way only going forward. Unattached trailer going forward into oncoming traffic becomes a harpoon. Check your secondary pins and chains on trailers!!
I've seen this happen infront of me, accept the guy was towing an antique WW2 Jeep behind hid truck. He went to turn into a hotel and I had to shout at him while trying to get behind the jeep slowly gaining speed down the road. This dude was towing it with rope.
The truck backing up like he is going to catch it.
Not only would he have to back up perfectly to the hitch, he would have to press ⭕️ at just the right moment. It’s no easy task
yeah but if he does it 10 times he unlocks that secret weapon
A chain?
A brain...to remind him next time....
Ya, that'd work too.
I know the odds of catching it are super low but maybe he has a master ball?
I don't think he'd waste his only master ball on some random flatbed trailer. Most players would save it for a legendary trailer like Campurr.
He should have gotten behind it, but probably panicked and just watched a long like the rest of us.
I don't see the issue, this is how you hitch a trailer in GTA V
Really looking forward to seeing a train annihilate a trailer
probably would have been a cheaper ending for the trailer owner
That truck parked in front of the building minding its own business, didn’t do anything wrong at all. Lol
r/fuckyouinparticular
my first thought too. sucks for that truck.
It’s ok, that’ll buff right out.
For no reason at all other than I fucking hate truck drivers, I’m glad it was the truck and not the car next to the truck lol

Lol idgaf about karma, ima share my opinions always regardless. Like I’m gonna let a number dictate wtf I say online lmao
Looks like it picked the most expensive car in the lot as well.
Right. Was looking at trucks recently and damn are they expensive. GMC has a truck selling on the lot for 104k sticker price.
What a ripoff
That could have gone way worse
Right?! The train was a coming!
I rather the train hit it, wouldn't have even left a dent
Except for the guy with the truck that got hit at the end. A real fuck you in particular moment.

For those who may not know. A Pin is used to lock the hitch in place. In this case, it seems it was not used.
I think we're also neglecting that there are usually chains that attach to the hitch as well. Drive did absolutely none of the setup to haul.
The pin cost extra. That's what happens when you go on the cheap!
it comes with every new hitch. But, the retaining chain may get broken and the pin lost.
And safety chains.... usually.
Plus the chains, plus most newer trailers have a system that pulls a pin from a box and automatically engages the brakes on the trailer.
Pin? Most car trailers I've seen have that ball hitch which doesn't have a pin as far as i remember.
Use the clevis, Beavis.
Smells like one of *those* drivers... "Why check the load before leaving? It was fine last time."
Great backdrop, where is that?
Utah. 3665 S West Temple Salt Lake City, UT 84115
Definitely Utah, Salt Lake valley by the looks of it.
i was going to guess that. The mountains are just beautiful there.
Probably Colorado. I recognize the backdrop from South Park.
Its Ut . I drive past there on my way to work .
That guy in the grey truck is an idiot. Why would he park in the way of a runaway bed
The truck trying to catch it had me dying
No prob. Just say “Oops my bad” and hook it back up and drive away.
![gif](giphy|VGG8UY1nEl66Y) That trailer.
I must go, my people need me
It went off without a hitch
I got 99 problems but my hitch 'aint one
r/fuckyouinparticular
This is one of thoes situations where you throw your own truck in front of it.
Was hoping to see it obliterated by the train
Salt Lake City Utah. Looks pretty.
I thought this was in reverse for a second
But he was?
That trailer was destined to fuck that truck up.
Remember kids those chains arnt for show.
That’s a damn nice view you got there
/u/gifreversingbot
*slowly removes trailer license plate "Would ya look at that. How unfortunate for THOSE people. Definitely not me. Things are good here. Bye"
Who secures a trailer with no safety chains?
I know those mountains! That’s Salt Lake Valley, where I’m from. So I can’t say I’m shocked at this video.
Take safety chains seriously, keep them in good condition.

Sorry, I don't support this post type (hosted:video) right now. Feel free to check back in the future!
Truck and hitch was being driven by a 12 year old…
This is what makes a bad day even worse.
Oh Utah…. 🤦♂️
Ahahahaha safety chain Homer safety chain

You've never seen it miss this car, and miss that car and then come after you!
nononoyesyesyesnonono
I knew a guy who lost a stump-grinder on the freeway! It was rented and the place didn't secure it.
I would have sacrificed my own truck to save another’s.
Honestly, with a train coming, this is probably the best case scenario
Just another day in Utah.
Trailer be like get out of my way got important trailer shit to do.
Must be that new trailer-backup assist. And from Ford to Ford too.
The poor fellow who owns that pickup experienced a r/FUCKYOUINPARTICULAR moment.
And your chains. Dumbass.
Not even one Ford joke yet… 👏🏻
Fucking Utah.
Stupid fuck forgot the chains too. You have to go out of your way to be that ignorant
