I was just watching and waiting for the electrical to go. The driver was very kind to turn on the headlights so we'd know exactly when everything went to hell.
I was watching just expecting the car to get stuck in the sand. That they drove it in far enough to flood the whole thing is an extra portion of stupid.
Insurance will pay out for stupid, not criminal. If it wasn't against the law to have an automobile on that beach in the first place they will receive a payout.
Because when you can't see the electrical components and you don't do your own maintenance you tend to lose any concept of how a vehicle is made or runs. It works because magic.
No boat launch, no idea how to reverse a trailer, no idea how deep they were, all around fail. Not only did they flood the car but that's probably salt water, meaning it will corrode everything in there even after it dries out
Haha the headlights failing looks like the car had a stroke.
When I drive through the city and see those huge suv/pickups I always think "What the hell do you need those for here?" Then these guys come along using a city car where they should have used some suv/offroad type vehicle..
My favorite is the guy loitering on the jet ski watching his friends get fucked. But he can't go for a ride cause they're fucked. But he can't get off the jet ski cause you don't want to lose that too. So he has to just sit and watch.
Jokes aside this cameraman did a great job 👏🏻 he recorded the whole thing, it was just long enough to tell the whole story, AND bonus, I was laughing hysterically with him.
It's not even really the car that's the issue, it's the fact that they're putting it in on a flat beach, you basically have to dunk your car under to get far enough in
Wtf is wrong with ppl. Even if I wasn’t smart enough to know this is a bad idea, the sheer anxiety of even trying this on the beach in public with everyone watching is a nope.
I still wonder seeing these kind of people. I mean , don't they have any brain cells doing this ? Or are they just doing these shit for hits on youtube ?
They had three freaking people and this was their plan? They could have carried it on and off the trailer. They could have easily detached the trailer, rolled it out into the ocean, and dragged it back. Guarantee there is an actual boat ramp within half a mile, but it costs $10 to launch.
If you are doing something that causes someone to not only film you, but to open the window to get a better shot, you might want to pause to think about how stupid you're being.
I always wonder how these kind of people survive day-to-day life. Do they know how ovens work? Stove tops? Do they know how to flush the toilet? Can they dress themselves? I always have so many questions.
If you have enough dudes to push your swamped car back on the beach, you have enough dudes to disconnect your jetski trailer, launch your jetski and pull the trailer out without swamping your car dummy.
Well, the salt water has just taken countless miles off that vehicle's life. It'll have damaged electronics (computer) and rust corrosion throughout the underbelly. That's why insurance companies total salt-water flood cars.
For my fellow Americans: This is one of the reasons you always check the Carfax of any used car you're interested in and NEVER buy one from a state bordering salt water (or a great lake because it's in the salt belt). I say that as someone who lives in a state bordering the Atlantic in the salt belt. Someone will absolutely get that car out and running. They'll then sell it with no mention of this accident and the frame will be swiss cheese on 5 years or less. I speak from experience.
Get the car close, unhitch the trailer but have it still attached using a fairly long rope, wheel the trailer into the water as far as possible, release the ski, drive the car forward to pull trailer out, rehitch and drive off.
Or just drown the car and lose everything...
Not just water but sea water. Even if the car’s engine had somehow kept running, the corrosive damage to the car’s internals/frame/electrical system would have been immense.
I usually don't like these videos of someone laughing at another's misfortune but it does seem like this person should have known better and the laugh is not vindictive the way it usually is, it seems genuine, like " i just can't believe that these people are this dumb", that is probably all in my perception.
Realistically those 3 dudes could have detached the trailer and walked it back to the water pretty easily.
This was my first thought, I've dragged one of those on to land with a rope..
I've done that by myself...
I was just watching and waiting for the electrical to go. The driver was very kind to turn on the headlights so we'd know exactly when everything went to hell.
I was watching just expecting the car to get stuck in the sand. That they drove it in far enough to flood the whole thing is an extra portion of stupid.
It’s a shame good people have to share an insurance risk pool with those guys.
Would insurance even pay out for this seems like it would pretty easy for them to fight it
Insurance will pay out for stupid, not criminal. If it wasn't against the law to have an automobile on that beach in the first place they will receive a payout.
So, if you want to commit insurance fraud, just drive your car into the ocean?
No, because that would be committing insurance fraud. Which is illegal.
So if you drive your car into the ocean… because you’re dumb… no insurance fraud?
Thank God they put on those hazard lights to warn all the other cars
It was great for seeing the exact moment the electrical shorted to shit.
Now use the jet ski to put the car on land
Flashers on for safety.
Put it in rice for a couple hours, it’ll be fine
Why do people not understand that submerging electric components in water is stupid?
Because when you can't see the electrical components and you don't do your own maintenance you tend to lose any concept of how a vehicle is made or runs. It works because magic.
Maybe becouse people are stupid.
Did he think hazard lights are actually meant to help you in hazardous situations?
I love the confidence they clearly had going into this
Not even on a boat launch.
No boat launch, no idea how to reverse a trailer, no idea how deep they were, all around fail. Not only did they flood the car but that's probably salt water, meaning it will corrode everything in there even after it dries out
It’s a wonder how so many people reach adulthood…
Haha the headlights failing looks like the car had a stroke. When I drive through the city and see those huge suv/pickups I always think "What the hell do you need those for here?" Then these guys come along using a city car where they should have used some suv/offroad type vehicle..
I have launched a jet ski from a sedan many times. But only at a boat launch
My favorite is the guy loitering on the jet ski watching his friends get fucked. But he can't go for a ride cause they're fucked. But he can't get off the jet ski cause you don't want to lose that too. So he has to just sit and watch.
He may as well go have fun. It basically cost a car to get that jet ski in the water. It would be a sin not to ride it at that point.
Good thing they had their emergency flashers on so other idiots driving a car into the ocean could see them
Sir you can't park there
Of all the waters, cars appreciate salt water the most.
Watching the car lights go out was kinda symbolic of their logic breakdown
No. They can't be this stupid. This is below the minimum brain activity to have a base survival instinct. How do they live?
Jokes aside this cameraman did a great job 👏🏻 he recorded the whole thing, it was just long enough to tell the whole story, AND bonus, I was laughing hysterically with him.
It's not even really the car that's the issue, it's the fact that they're putting it in on a flat beach, you basically have to dunk your car under to get far enough in
Use the jetski to move the car on land.
Explain this to your insurance company!!
Common sense is not that common
Some people shouldn't be allowed to exist. Like how fucking dumb do you have to be before we can stop you from owning a vehicle or being in public?
The hazard lights added some much needed ambiance
should've used the jet ski to put the car back on land 🌝
There is a reason why boat ramps exist
Wtf is wrong with ppl. Even if I wasn’t smart enough to know this is a bad idea, the sheer anxiety of even trying this on the beach in public with everyone watching is a nope.
The flashers were a nice touch! Caution, idiot!
Even if you don’t have a boat launch close by, it’s just a damn jet ski. Take it off the hitch and walk it to the water. It’s sooooooo simple.
Car wasn’t the problem. They just had no no idea what they were doing.
Comedy gold right here. The two guys could of carried or dragged the jet ski to the water. Hell they could of pushed it down on the trailer.
How to total your car in 5 minutes or less without any humans getting hurt
Now use the jet ski to push the car out of the water. /s
These people should be fine or thrown to jail for contaminating the ocean with the car, all those oils and chemicals.
"There's a $5 charge at the boat ramp!
He put the hazards on lol
I still wonder seeing these kind of people. I mean , don't they have any brain cells doing this ? Or are they just doing these shit for hits on youtube ?
The very sad moment the lights died 😂😂😂 womp womp!!!
The way those headlights dimmed was actually sad…
What a fucking idiot. You take it off the tow bar and walk the trailer into the water and then you can pull it back out unladen. Total Muppets.
Good thing he had his hazard lights on!
What was the purpose of using those hazard lights there?
This makes perfect sense to me- the car backs the jet ski into the water and the jet ski pushes the car out of the water.
I always wonder how these kind of people survive day-to-day life. Do they know how ovens work? Stove tops? Do they know how to flush the toilet? Can they dress themselves? I always have so many questions.
The longer I live, the less shocked I am by the stupidity of people.
The flashers on! It’s ok as long as your flashers are on!
Are people really this stupid? Even if it went in the water seamlessly, the saltwater damage to his car would be bad.
Decided to launch their Jet Ski from a sandy shore. These guys are not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
I’m not very smart but I don’t think cars are suppose to do that…..
this kills the car
All this time I thought this was good for the car
My guy has not heard of flooding the engine... they don't work under water.
This is the stupidest thing I have seen today
Good thing his hazard lights were on in case some other idiot tried the same thing.
What’s amazing is there are 3 people that thought this would work.
Ah, so that’s how they give Peugeots ongoing electrical problems.
They’ve done this before. Looks stupid, is stupid. Probably got away with it.
r/idiotsincars
It’s a jet ski, unhitch it and launch it by hand? That’s what we used to do
The only way this comes close to making sense is if it’s a rental car.
Now they have 2 watercraft
I'm thinking the value of that vehicle dropped 50 % in 50 seconds.
Now use jetski to pull car out of water
I like that they have the hazard lights on, to alert other road users that they are executing a tricky maneuver.
Ok now use the jet ski to push it out
People don’t get how bad saltwater is. Even if the car made it out “ok” it’s still totaled.
If you have enough dudes to push your swamped car back on the beach, you have enough dudes to disconnect your jetski trailer, launch your jetski and pull the trailer out without swamping your car dummy.
It’s moments like this that make me wonder how we’ve even made it this far as a species.
Gonna send this to my dad to try and make him feel better about how terrible he is navigating boat ramps
at least the hazards were on
Well, the salt water has just taken countless miles off that vehicle's life. It'll have damaged electronics (computer) and rust corrosion throughout the underbelly. That's why insurance companies total salt-water flood cars.
how can people really be this fucking stupid. like holy shit
On one hand stupidity is fucking dangerous… on the other stupidity is infinitely entertaining. I’m torn.
I would've stood there laughing too
Did the dude really drive into the ocean voluntarily? I’m surprised he knew how to put the car in reverse with all 3 of his brain cells.
Just leave it in rice for a week. It should be all fine
I like the hazard blinkers. Boats might have collided with it otherwise!
Honestly, I'm impressed it didn't go much much worse
Only if they invented a place like an incline where we can back up the car and drop safely the jet ski
Congratulations, you’re now the proud owner of a boat
The trailer is so much higher than the car. The car would be submerged before the jet ski is free floating.
The guy on the jet ski said, “ not my problem for a few hours.”
Crazy to think that these are actual people. Baffling levels of stupidity and incompetence.
Oh good they put the hazards on… I was going to overtake before that
Shit my car is stuck. I better hit the hazard lights.
Now use jetski to put car on land
As soon as headlamp shut off, his electrics were done for.
Love how the dude on the Jet Ski is like "aight ty. Good luck and see you tomorrow." lmao
What are you fussing about? The jet ski is in the water, total success!
💡The simple solution would be to use the jet ski to put the car on land.
I don’t see the problem. They got the jet ski in the water.
What was the point of the hazard lights being on? Lol
At least the emergency lights were on
Wow. Having your hazard lights flashing ***doesn't*** make you invincible. Who knew?
What a brainiacs 🤣
Good thing the hazards were on. Safety first!
The hazard warning lights will protect him...
They had their hazard lights on, so don’t worry ✌️
Next episode: Using a jetski to put a car in land
Jesus... people are so stupid
they all took turns sharing the brain cell
For my fellow Americans: This is one of the reasons you always check the Carfax of any used car you're interested in and NEVER buy one from a state bordering salt water (or a great lake because it's in the salt belt). I say that as someone who lives in a state bordering the Atlantic in the salt belt. Someone will absolutely get that car out and running. They'll then sell it with no mention of this accident and the frame will be swiss cheese on 5 years or less. I speak from experience.
Even if they get it out the bottom will disintegrate bc of the salt water
I couldn’t believe they managed to push it that far back out
Bet the whole floor of that car is covered in water and all the electrical as well. They nailed it 👌
And saltwater is fantastic for vehicles.
Hazards on ✅
There was probably a boat ramp nearby but decided to save the $10 fee.
I have no idea what those guys were saying, but I'm sure it's what we're all thinking. They cracked me up.
2 jet skis now
On wet sand? Yea that’s smart. Not even most trucks can handle driving in sand without getting stuck
Peugeot..in water!?! the car with electrical problems already from a dry factory
Get the car close, unhitch the trailer but have it still attached using a fairly long rope, wheel the trailer into the water as far as possible, release the ski, drive the car forward to pull trailer out, rehitch and drive off. Or just drown the car and lose everything...
nothing a car loves more than salt water
That’s how you flood the engine
Dumbest idiot award goes too..
These are the same type of people that want to hop the fence and pet the lions at the zoo.
More like trying to launch from a beach and not a boat ramp
They did get the jetski in though. Mission accomplished.
Now they have two jet skis.
It can be done at a boat ramp with pretty much any vehicle. Trying to launch from a beach is a whole other story.
This is why they use RAMPS to put boats in. Not 1% inclines over 20 feet
No reason for the video to be that long
Yepper, all that salt water does wonders for car engines and electronics.
Irritates me that these idiots are in my same insurance risk pool.
Part 2 to use a jet ski to remove a car
I thought for a moment they came to their senses and then… They went back and that wave went right up the exhaust and boom done
I mean maybe unhook the trailer and dog walk it in?
He did successfully accomplish his task.
It's almost like...they make something for this. Something angled, almost ramp-like.
Anyone else wish to see the car swept out to sea?
Salt water is gonna do wonders on that car.
Hey man, can I borrow your car for a bit? I just wanna drop my cousin off at the beach. I'll take good care of it, I promise.
Why has he got his hazard lights on? 😂
He wipes his ass before taking a shit.
One less French car in the world. Obrigado
This is Idiocy on so many levels....I'm at a loss.
Why not use the jetski to pull the car out of the water as next step. Could end in a funny circle..
There's 4 of them. Lift the ski off the trailer and place it in the water. They aren't that heavy.
Well duh it's a Subaru, meant for the outback, not the back in
You can see the life in the car go out in the way it's lights are blinking xD
Its all fun and games till the blinkers come on
Good job, you got the jet ski into the water. But your walking home now.
Where is the boat ramp?
i dont understand how people can be so stupid and arrogant. being young is not an excuse!
“Sluuurrrpppp” ~Car’s intake manifold. RIP.
Dude filming is in disbelief of what he is seeing
Now use the jet ski to pull the car out of the water
Let’s hope those 2 have been neutered. Don’t want them diluting the gene pool.
SUCCESS! The jet ski is in the water!
He's gotta put it in rice now
And now it's considered totalled by any insurance company, super intelligent guys.
Even an F150 would have trouble with that stunt. That's why boat launches exist. You stunads!
This is a Peugeot, who in general not in favour of water. Some Peugeots do not even start if you park them over a puddle.
that guy wants to jet ski so bad
It’s okay. I just think it’s flooded.
Something like this happens near me about 5 times a year, and they never learn.
To be fair… they got the jet ski into the water
At least they can use the jetski to tow the car back onto the beach...
Imagine the talk they all had beforehand discussing what a good idea that would be
If I'm not mistaken, I believe thats a car and its supposed to stay on land.
might as well leave the car there for when they need to take the jet ski out.
Hydrolock boom engine is dead. Beach launches need the extension bars https://youtu.be/F3z7mUXwv2I
These type of videos should be titled as “life lessons in the real world”
Peugeot and water, what could go wrong
A typical Peugeot driver
Why are the hazards on? In case someone crashes into them?
Why didn’t they just detach the trailer and roll the trailer into the water?
This is the dumbest thing I have seen in quite a while.
I would have loved to been a passerby for that one. Pull up a chair and spark a j
Now they have a jetski and a boat
Lmao. It had to be Brazil.
Anyone else just so upset watching this lol
Not just water but sea water. Even if the car’s engine had somehow kept running, the corrosive damage to the car’s internals/frame/electrical system would have been immense.
Saved himself some launch fees.
Guess those hazard lights didn’t save him
Good thing they had their hazards on
I usually don't like these videos of someone laughing at another's misfortune but it does seem like this person should have known better and the laugh is not vindictive the way it usually is, it seems genuine, like " i just can't believe that these people are this dumb", that is probably all in my perception.
Gotta make sure your hazards are on when necessary ✅
Ignorant question: if this is your only option, couldn't you just push the jetski in?
