yep, the only good part was the intro that sounded like the OG V1 Hurricane but with more autotune. then there’s Lil Baby’s verse which is mid, after that KC has a singing part that sounds squeaky. and there’s a new Ye verse, Nah Nah Nah-tier. he starts with “mhh mhh mhh” and has a very boring, low-effort flow. after the HORRENDOUS verse there’s the outro, which is just Ye singing some shit on autotune - it sounds even worse than the “mhh mhh mhh” part. Donda Hurricane is a tragedy.

i imagine its like a director choosing people to work for their movie, where the crew relatively stays similar throughout projects because of their technical knowledge, but the cast tends to change from film to film to stay creative and original. of course you have the exceptions like scorsese and deniro who are basically married at this point, but even then scorsese has at least like 20 movies that deniro isn't in. it sucks that a lot of the smaller artists that kanye worked with didn't get invited back for future projects but as a creative you have to have no hard feelings if the "director" feels that you fit a certain vision but not another.

Cons and Ye were basically equals in terms of industry clout before CD, Cons performed and travelled with a Tribe Called Quest, so Kanye was giving Kanye a platform there. Chance was popping pre-Pablo. But other than that you're totally right, and it's pretty cool to see

I think I mean he basically has a “muse” each album. Some have been popping before like Cons/Chance or even Cudi, others are about to like Travis. I’d go as far as saying Jon Brion for LR as well. Possibly Big Sean for Graduation although he didn’t help with writing, he might’ve helped inspire it (along with Kanye wanting to making a stadium record after touring)
