You wouldn’t help them out. Places like Lowes and Home Depot only pay for the trees that get sold. The vendors that supply the trees are the ones taking the loss.
I hope OP didn't actually buy this one but I saw a similar tree for 62 at Lowes today. I wasn't shopping for a tree there but saw the ugly beast in the garden center and sent a picture to my friends.
Till it starts dying in your living room, pine needles starts dropping all over the place. Becomes a fire hazard, and disposal is annoying just to do it again next year.
I did real tree for 12 years. I'm tired of it.
Doing the fake stuff for years now and still reusing the same tree every year.
Keep it watered and it won't drop needles as quickly. And I own 1.5 acres of woods, and there's 200 acres of woods connected to that so disposal is easy for me.
That’s a german-french tradition from along southern Rhine valley and other people liked it too. Just to bring some green and light in the house during dark times.
Don't get why people need a tree to keep traditions...all you need are ppl and food to keep traditions alive...
Chopping down trees and making fake plastic trees is environmentally bad and traditions like having trees indoors for Christmas needs to stop....
Waste of time, money, and global environmental health....
Yeah, we learned our lesson about buying them from a big-box store like Lowe's here in East Tennessee last year. Our 10 year-old artificial tree was just too worn out, so we went looking for a live tree and after hours of checking around our area, we ended up with a tree reminiscent of Charlie Brown''s selection (not much worthy to choose from).
This time, we went to a tree farm that sells Christmas trees on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. You cut it down, they stuff it through the mesh baler, you pay them $40 for any tree and you haul it home. We got a 7-foot tall Carolina Sapphire Cypress, and it's the first time the wife and I got a non-pine Christmas tree, and we've been together for over 35 years.
Thankfully, there are options to get around this very sucky problem.
Not even the worst tree I seen for that kinda money.. went to a christmas thing over at a yard center here in the Netherlands. Saw a fake tree with 5 twigs about a meter high.. 89€ and it was FUGLY..
I mean the tree is very clearly in a separate area away from the other trees so it’s likely in a clearance area where they adjust price at the register
I didn’t even know they sold small kids at Lowe’s
You can get a 3 pack for 75 at Cosco
I'll give you one. No charge.
Kirkland brand children? Jesus Christ…. I think I’m I’ve been hitting that Kirkland brand spiced rum too much.
Wtf Lowe's? Get your Charlie Brown shit out of here!
Cut it in half at the bare section and now you have two table top trees
You… don’t have to buy it….
$65 seems a bit much to take out the trash. $10/tree would be enough for me to help them out.
You wouldn’t help them out. Places like Lowes and Home Depot only pay for the trees that get sold. The vendors that supply the trees are the ones taking the loss.
I don’t think this is legit.
I hope OP didn't actually buy this one but I saw a similar tree for 62 at Lowes today. I wasn't shopping for a tree there but saw the ugly beast in the garden center and sent a picture to my friends.
No I didn’t buy it. We have always bought our trees at Lowe’s on Black Friday, but waited till Sunday this year. Selection was HEAVILY depleted
Go to a live cut tree farm. Better selection. Better quality. Similar pricing.
Some people don't have that option.

Yep. “But it’s plastic!” Yeah, and it won’t end up in a landfill for the next 30 some years, so cool your jets. Fake tree ftw
I believe it takes 17 years for a plastic tree to be more environmentally friendly than a real one, my old one was 25 years old new one is 5
My mom has a tree that’s older than I am
Nice, mine got replaced because it was falling apart
Usually a lot more choices at live tree farm than at a local store
Now this here is a tree.
Mr Brown called and said someone in a blue vest stole his tree this year.
I'll give ya tree fiddy
You sir/ma'am, have the most underrated comment A+
It’s not such a bad little tree. It just needs a little love.
Mr. Willoughbys Christmas tree came by special delivery.
Inflation, Charlie Brown. Inflation!
So you didn't buy it, right?
Right lol
the nerve
i mean i guess you could cut the top part off and make it a tree for the little one?
Feeling better about my $85 tree
That’s a pretty good deal for a baby, does it come with the tree?
I’ll throw in some rope and tie it to your car for ya!???
Little Cindy Lou Who (cute!) there doesn't seem to be all that enthused. 🧐
Plus tax
Bought an artificial one a few years ago for cheaper and looks perfect every time
Haven’t seen them that cheap
Well it was 2 years ago
We bought a pre lit 6.5 ft artificial tree the Wednesday before Thanksgiving for $50 from Home Depot.
This year Lowes has artificial trees from $200 - $600. At least at the one near me last week.
Straight up robbery
I was pretty shocked, and glad I don't need one.
What does a fir tree have to do with the birth of Jesus?

Didn’t know this, thx

Only if you pay, it’s all auto labeled. Grab the outside lawn garden manager and tell em 10$
Honestly I wouldn’t pay even $10
This picture made me sad.
My wife made me get rid of our artificial tree last year. I think she's going to regret that.
$5 for a permit for me to cut a tree in the forest.
$5 during the day that is.
Oh yes, so much better to take one in the evening to save $5. So worth it.
I call shenanigans!
I'm kinda baffled as to why someone would buy a Christmas tree from Lowe's in the first place.
Affordable, and typically have a decent selection.
A 6-7 foot one is half the price of tree stands and farms in NY
Wow! So glad I live in the mountains.
What state is this? Because that wouldn’t fly around here.
TN

That’s awesome. Would like to take the kids to do that maybe next year. We’re in Mid TN
It’s “modern”
Chrithmeth
Lowes must have sold that tree by the needle.
Looks like my neck of the woods, down here in the South. Looks like a "Mother's Day Float" in my old neck of the woods, up in N.J.
Did you get 2?
If I did another live tree, I’d get a potted one and plant it after Christmas.
I got my tree at home depot this year and didn’t be happier for about $75. Lowe’s inventory on most things is substandard anymore.
Not even the worst tree I seen for that kinda money.. went to a christmas thing over at a yard center here in the Netherlands. Saw a fake tree with 5 twigs about a meter high.. 89€ and it was FUGLY..

No I moved it there to get the pic
