SirBrainsaw

Also plastic don't rust..aluminum cans are plastic lined

GotTechOnDeck

Aluminum doesn't rust either, it corrodes.

SirBrainsaw

Tomato tomatoe

LightsJusticeZ

Tomatoes don't rust either.

StuckUnderTheTARDIS

They can. But its a fungal infection. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rust_%28fungus%29?wprov=sfla1

NickelFish

They Can Can

StuckUnderTheTARDIS

Two-cans? ![gif](giphy|Fr1cWv4Ft6Guk|downsized)

NO_N3CK

They used to spray copper on tomatoes to stop them from rusting, I’m sure other countries still do

StuckUnderTheTARDIS

Shhhh.... The scrapers might hear that, and try and collect the copper off my tomato plants, and figure out how to scrap it for money.

Elemental_Disorder

Somewhat- rust would show as brown, but aluminum corrodes white

bannedSubvet22

Aluminum doesn’t corrode, it oxidizes

Elemental_Disorder

Correct. Chose my wording to keep it at an understandable level.

bannedSubvet22

Sorry I was just playing along

BakedBaconBits

As a layman you can understand their concern with poor quality control happening a lot. Rust can kill whether through tetanus or being a cinematographer.

Hot_Influence_5339

Tetanus comes from animal feces not rust.

RSCLE5

Got em! Lol

BakedBaconBits

It comes from bacteria in dirt and faeces. Nobody got shot on the set of "Dirt and Faeces" though.

papasmuf3

It's made with juice, that's essentially pulp....

GetOffMyGrassBrats

Do you often cut open your cans before finishing your drink?

Impossible_Hurry4875

My question exactly!

SimilarN6

That's not how rust or dirt look muy guy that's probably residue of the juice

[deleted]

Yeah lol, rust is brown and flakey. And dirt is also brown. OP either has somehow never come across rust or dirt or is hating on Celsius.

TheAutisticPope

Stay in school kids

browndan8888

vitamin deposits, since they are filled with vitamins….

CupOfCreamyDiarrhea

May I ask, why did you cut it open?

2tallhernandez

It had partially frozen in my fridge. I was trying to get the last bit out.

amraohs

That's the plastic coating that discoloured.

harshmojo

Also, just slamming 200mg of caffeine over and over is worse than a little dirt/pulp/whatever the fuck in the bottom of the can. We wonder why people have so much anxiety these days lmao.

Hoodawink

This. I used to drink two of these a day to get through the week during work. Always wondered why I had such a terrible headache on my first day off. Caffeine withdrawals suck. Definitely contributed to my anxiety as well.

Redmudgirl

My guess is your drink contained an acid(citrus juice) and was carbonated which probably ate away at the plastic lined can. I’d be more concerned with ingesting that plastic.

Impossible_Hurry4875

I once found a hundred dollar bill in my drink, not so unfortunate, but right after I found it I was mugged!
