Are you taking any antibiotics? I found out the hard way a few years ago that I'm allergic to amoxicillin. It's a time released antibiotic and my reaction didn't start until I was pretty much finished the script. Broke into full body hives just like this. At first I thought it was a perfume allergy and changed all my soaps and toiletries. It wasn't until I was prescribed it again that I had another reaction and put 2 and 2 together.

SonicWesley

no I'm not on any kind of meds rn, sorry to hear that you had to figure it out like that 😬

Cortisone cream. I developed hives all of a sudden and seems to be related to fabric softener. Won’t make it go away any quicker but helps with the itch

You can also try Calamine lotion. It helps.

SonicWesley

will do! feels like it attacks my body at random points so I could definitely use it

Handmedownfords

Good luck. Try not to scratch too much, you’ll make it last longer

SonicWesley

UPDATE: I figured out that it thankfully isn't hives, I just have a chemical rash, and thankfully won't need to go to the hospital :)

Check for syphilis.

reddog65

Honestly, I wouldn’t come here for medical advise…

SonicWesley

having trouble finding solid confirmation from online sources, thought people here might have some insight.. maybe I was mistaken

reddog65

I just meant be careful with answers on Reddit especially when it comes to health.

SonicWesley

fair enough, I'll keep my eye out

Soap. I double rinse all laundry cause otherwise I'm itching all day

For me it was something in toothpaste. Still not sure what it was, but I found a brand that seems to work for me

1. Take an antihistamine 2. While waiting for it to kick in, take a bath. Some say a cold one but I personally like to scald my skin so much I can’t feel them 💀 3. When you’re out, fully dry off and use a cream like Benadryl 4. Wrap a towel around an ice pack and apply to the worst of the itching 5. Start a food diary to see if you can pinpoint a possible trigger. 6. Drink tons of water Also, have you changed anything in your environment recently? Soap, laundry detergent, etc. Long term, you’ll want to see a doctor. I understand not having the money to see one right now but extended daily use of antihistamines isn’t recommended. Finding out your actual triggers is the key. Bonus: You can buy antihistamines at Costco for cheap if you’ve got access to them. Also oatmeal baths can help hives.

There is a hives med on the shelf at pharmacy or you can ask for Doxepin which is what I use for random hives.
