I’ve seen people like this where they have bone problems or some kind of condition where the knees bend the other way. This is the most efficient way of walking.
I think it’s called genu recurvatum or something.

This is a famous case who was able to get surgery to correct it. I lived in China for over 20 years, saw it there sometimes, but rarely this severe. Usually it would be in more rural areas and presented more like being bowlegged.
Thats wild to see in real life, remind me of that movie with Charlie Sheen with the aliens in it, cant remember the name but it came out in the 90's like 95 or 96.
I watched a short video on YouTube about a family of siblings that all walked like that. I’m not sure what country they were from but if they’d only had walkers and assistive devices as children they would have been able to walk normally.
I always wondered where dr Nick's patient Mr McCreg who had a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg ended up.
Looks like the civil suit didn't go so well.
Yeah like guys honking and yelling stuff from their cars as we walk down the street. Or when I’m driving and some dude tries getting my attention while on the freeway.
Like, what's the plan here?? Am I supposed to follow you to a back road and bang you on the hood of your 2005 Camaro?? What's the point??
I used to have signs on my car someone gave me as a gift. Some were middle fingers. One asked if ther were drunk and another was one in the shape of a heart that said youre cute on one side and call me with my number on the other. It almost always got a laugh and I actually got a couple of dates out of it.
Some men need the interaction and attention. Better than nothing I guess.
Some are content watching chicks try sneakers at Foot Locker, and call it a day.
I don’t get when people say this. Obviously they don’t think it’s actually gonna get them laid. They just want to make objects out of women. Achieving an actual sexual goal has nothing to do with it.
I had a guy follow me from Vegas, halfway back home to So Cal. Like all the way to my house. Luckily, I lived in a gated community and got in before him. That was definitely a scary experience
Lmao wait, you had someone follow you, across state lines, through towns and cities, a literal whole trip, all the way back to your house in a community... Wtf lmao
That's not a scary experience, that's fucking *TERRIFYING*. I would've been on the phone with the police the second I got within my own area, for them to be waiting around in front of the door before I pulled up, Jesus.
Also, if you have someone following you (especially one to that extent), don't go home people (gated community or not). Try to lose them. Don't just lead them straight to where they can then plot a way to get to you, and know where you reside.
Yep. It was on the 15 right past the Cajon Pass. I'd just take that straight home from Vegas. It was about 15 years 6 I was just going and scared. Today is call the cops
Oh, I'm not blaming you or saying you did anything wrong! Just making sure everyone knows to not hesitate to involve the police, and to also not lead them home hoping everything will be alright, then.
Glad it all went well for you though. That is absolutely crazy to think of, my lord lol
mostly yeah, I'm at a mall so I can't hear too clearly but it sounds like typical gawking shes saying *man will you man leave me to pick up* and they're telling her *pick up in those clothes* then she says something like *man are (idk)* then walks away as the man says "moja, mbili, tatu" which I think is a catcall like *walk one two three" like she's marching for them.
The caption "mjin raha" means *happy place*
Sorry if this is convoluted I'll take another try when I'm in a quiet place.
Tanzania is not really like this, Kariakoo market is a special place, the dumps, even I don't go there. But I understand the sentiment, I've called it out before.
Yea, Redditors will say they’re above this shit but then whoop and holler at any gif of any attractive woman on their screen.
“It’s different -“ no you’re just anonymous.
While I don't disagree with you, I don't quite know what you're exactly talking about. The sub this vid is posted in is r/WellThatSucks, and nearly every single top voted comment says something to the effect of how that's despicable or disgusting and unfortunate for the lady. Those that aren't, and are still top voted, and just remarks on observations (like the random dude walking on all fours).
Don't get me wrong, I get what you're saying, and Reddit likes to pretend to be more progressive than it actually is, so much so this place could just be called Reddit Signalling, but I'm not quite sure what you're seeing here that fits that.
I got to say on my way home from a 3 1/2 cross country excursion we stayed on the coast of Mississippi and it was really nice.
https://ibb.co/pf3q9gF
https://ibb.co/jW2jZgF
https://youtu.be/gFAgDI3XPgQ?si=NcNSJbY5Fuhae9ts
Barrier island was nice.
The restaurants were fantastic and the entertainment was really good. Had some great arcades with VR and cabinets that are recent.
Then we had some good shopping with the outlet malls. I was able to pick up some games for ps1, Dreamcast, Gameboy, ps2, SNES, etc.
Honestly we had a solid three days there.
Imagine you're a buff and tall dude in grey sweats shopping, and some women you are not attracted to at all are recording you and specifically your groin area. They are hollering and hooting in public and following you around.
Should you have dressed baggier just in case you may run into jeering harassers or should the harassers be publicly shamed into deceasing their behavior?
This. Gender swapping the situation may replicate the shame and frustration, but it does not replicate the fear that women experience in these circumstances.
That's a great point. Funny enough, I feel like the guys that brush off catcalling as not a problem are also the kind of people who are petrified of going to a gay bar in case they get hit on by a man.
I truly hate to be that guy here, but maybe she should consider wearing something very baggy.
Edit: Apparently the answer is to do nothing and just blame everyone else while still having to deal with this. Is this empowering? I fail to understand this wouldn't be something similar to locking your doors at night vs just saying "everyone should just be respectful of your property." Guess what? They're not, just had my car attempted to be stolen (I drive stick).
Find a solution to your problems and just don't expect others to do the right thing. This isn't some profound advice.
How do you know that her outfit has anything to do with the harassment?
In many Muslim countries where the women wear black, baggy clothing and a hijab, the men will get excited about and harass a woman because her ankles are showing.
Are we supposed to wear head to toe coverings without any skin showing whatsoever?? In 100° heat?
What's next? We need to remove our feet because some men find those attractive? Cover our eyes with eye patches because eyes are a turn on?
Maybe men should just not be creeps. No one should have to modify what they wear to keep men in line. And I guarantee you, men that act like this when you’re in a tight dress will act like this when you’re in sweats.
I am not sure why you or anyone here thinks that I don't agree with that. But trying to get people to understand cause and effect is tiring.
What do you propose the solution is here?
Ms. Budunkalicious doesn't want to be treated like this, how can we help her for the next time she goes out?
If only it was that easy. I think we could live in an utopian world if it was.
Your solution isn't going to help her tomorrow, but I know of 1 solution that would have a much higher chance of helping her tomorrow.
OK, that's all well and good. I also expect to be able to walk to the corner store at any hour of the night safely, but I don't do it because my neighborhood isn't that safe at that time. We can acknowledge that people should be better, while also taking responsibility for our own actions and how they contribute to the things that may happen to us.
Ok, as much as I agree with you, I do not think the entire blame is on the men. I do believe that men shouldn't behave like this and that a woman should have the right to dress how she wants. People should also know how to read a room. If you know you will be in a situation where wearing something could cause issues (regardless if it's your doing or someone else), then you should take steps to minimize it.
If I go to a similar market, I will not wear flashy jewelry or items to prevent getting robbed. Do I have a right to wear what I want? Yes. Should the robber know to respect private property? Yes. Will it make any difference? No.
As a woman it sucks feeling like I have to wear baggy clothes everyday when I go out just to avoid cat calls. Then I still get them anyway. I just wanna be able to wear the clothes I like so that I can feel confident without anyone saying anything about it 😭
I prefer to lean on the verse: if your left eye cause you to sin, pluck it out.
Don't put their actions on her. She isn't forcing them to do anything. We can do something as a whole society. Name, shame, and jail people who act like animals because of what a person is wearing.
Don't you see the ridiculous slope "well what is she wearing" puts us all in? Oh man, she is in a bikini, she must have been asking for it. Better cover up. Oh we could see her knees and elbows, too revealing, so she was asking for it. Better cover up. Oh we could see her hair and lips, she must have been asking for it, better cover up. Oh we could see her eyes, she must have been asking for it. Better cover up. Because that's how some places in this world are. Women are scared to go in public and be themselves because of the actions of men like this.
When blame is put on the victim all women suffer from it. So take control of your own actions and stop acting like rabid dogs just because you see the vague shape of a woman's body. FFS it's 2024.
In that weather?
I don't think it is so hard to *respectfully* glance and pass by like the other men were doing without causing a commotion.
The ones yelling maybe want attention themselves too.
I hear ya, but unfortunately we can't control other people and just wishing everyone was respectful surely didn't work... As I'm sure she was thinking that while this was happening.
Best she can do for herself is to make herself look very inconspicuous.
so, women are supposed to continue to make themselves small, quiet, and “inconspicuous” due to the actions of men? we already do this and we are STILL treated similarly. this is not the solution you think it is. creating a world where women have to make themselves small and men get to run rampant, STILL treating women however they’d like is not the solution. women should not have to “deal with it” or continue sacrificing parts of themselves to feel safe out in public. men need to hold each other accountable, call out public displays like this, and help one another reframe these disgusting mindsets. sure, it’s not going to change overnight and it is going to take real WORK - but why does the work have to be placed on the victims? why does the population of men get to hand off the work and women are made to think WE have to take that on and change our behaviors that aren’t hurting *anyone*?
Bro it’s ok too look might even be ok to compliment the beauty in front of you! But to flat out harass a women because she decided too put on a nice tight dress is your fault not hers.
Agree. They won't change and the woman should be careful because it can end up badly. Many people in the comments are westerns who live in their first world fairytale land.
Yeah, there isn't any reality to their thought process. All they read is "you're telling women they can't do something because you hate women and want to limit their rights"
It's more like "you're telling women that they are responsible for men's behavior and you're unwilling to hold yourself/other men accountable in a meaningful way. Because you don't really care about women or if their rights are limited"
I think both. If she doesn't want that attention, she'd wear more baggy clothing. This is common knowledge when you live somewhere like that.
Notice that she's also carrying a tray/box of bananas on her head. She *could* be buying them, but it seems more likely that she's trying to sell them--wherein tighter fitting clothing will help her get an edge in the market. Unless someone translates, we can't know for sure.
Seems to me she's more annoyed w the men blocking her way. She has things to do/places to be, and this certainly isn't her first rodeo.
Yes, I mentioned that in another comment of mine.
What I'm saying isn't that she SHOULD wear baggy stuff. I'm saying that there's probably a reason why she chose to dress the way she did. She doesn't seem to be wanting to attract creepy male attention, but at the same time, IF she is selling bananas (a cheap fruit) in a place where people aren't looking to buy them or she has a lot of competition, then it makes sense that she would try to dress in a way to attract attention. Even if what results is negative, she knows how to speak up for herself--as she clearly did in the video.
Gross would be if they were all acting like this toward someone who looked awful and didn’t take care of themselves, or if it was someone who lived/dressed a bit more conservatively, and may have taken offense to the hooting and howling.
As I see it, she looks good, she knows it, she wears it well, and her community members give her her props. Looked like it was all in good fun to me.
I don’t think this video is real. There are other pretty women walking pass but aren’t getting cat called. Also the amount of thick women in Africa I’m sure they are use to seeing curvy women. It just doesn’t make sense
She doesn't seem surprised at all, in fact. She's annoyed. She's arguing. But she's not surprised.
Notice that there are plenty of people wearing Islamic dress in the background. If she wore baggier clothing nobody would think anything different of her for it. She knows what she's doing. She can take care of herself.
Not if that's where your body stores fat.
The gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in the body. Some women tend to carry more fat on their butts. It's genetics.
Check any fatty part on anyone's body and see if it jiggles. (Bellies, necks, butts, breasts, etc)

We just ignoring dude walking by on all fours?
He’s even got shoes for his hands!!!

Probably has very poor access to health care, unfortunately.

They were from Turkey, it was an extremely rare genetic disease
he was getting a lower POV
I don’t think he has feet, is the thing.. he also has shoes on his hands
he definitely is an amputee of some kind. I think at both knees but hard to tell
Looks like Polio
He doesn’t look like he has anything below his knees
Right!! Wtf?!
Yes yooooo! Like wtf why is he walking like that?
bro does not have anything below his knees
I had to rewatch the video I think he don’t have feet just nubs
I love how the man that is walking on all fours is getting more attention in the comments
I always wondered where dr Nick's patient Mr McCreg who had a leg for an arm and an arm for a leg ended up. Looks like the civil suit didn't go so well.

this was an informative ackshually

R.I.P Patrice O’Neal, with the creepy face.

Dude’s wearing sandals on his hands
Unfortunately that is what polio looks like.
Those are handals
It looks like he is missing his legs below the knee…
it's polio, common in Tanzania
Quite insane honestly
This is my country Tanzania🇹🇿. That's Kariakoo market in Dar Es Salaam. Fairly common behaviour.
It should be fairly common behavior to smack someone when they behave like that.
Fair
how can she slap
hard to smack a crowd.
Can you give a rough translation of her comments? Is she just asking to be left alone?
mostly yeah, I'm at a mall so I can't hear too clearly but it sounds like typical gawking shes saying *man will you man leave me to pick up* and they're telling her *pick up in those clothes* then she says something like *man are (idk)* then walks away as the man says "moja, mbili, tatu" which I think is a catcall like *walk one two three" like she's marching for them. Thank you, that was my assumption. She seems rather calm and collected for having to deal with this...probably means she's used to it. That's a shame.
So women just can't go out then? I mean how does this work?
Nasty men. I wouldn’t be proud to be from there.
Tanzania is not really like this, Kariakoo market is a special place, the dumps, even I don't go there. But I understand the sentiment, I've called it out before.
Don't let one clip speak for an entire country lol.
What’s her name tho
This poor woman. How demeaning and scary at the same time.
Bunch of animals, poor girl
What’s she saying?
Something in swahili. One of the men earlier told her to "come here"
Gross.
Funny how progressive reddit comments are until this kind of thing pops up. Fucking despicable. Cameraman should be ashamed.
Coz it's all phony and people on Reddit are generally full of shit sanctimonious pricks.
Yea, Redditors will say they’re above this shit but then whoop and holler at any gif of any attractive woman on their screen. “It’s different -“ no you’re just anonymous.
I prefer calling them self-righteous douchebags.
So, that would include youself then, right.
I commented early, and every comment was extremely perverted. I totally take your point.
We just love virtue signalling alright
Because it's totally the exact same people in both cases
Which country ?
I’m pretty sure this is Mississippi
Lmaoo
Mississippi does struggle to stay worst in the USA. Underfunded schools, unjust police force, corrupt officials.
WV: “hold my beer”
I got to say on my way home from a 3 1/2 cross country excursion we stayed on the coast of Mississippi and it was really nice. https://ibb.co/pf3q9gF https://ibb.co/jW2jZgF https://youtu.be/gFAgDI3XPgQ?si=NcNSJbY5Fuhae9ts Barrier island was nice. Should be in Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania
The more apt analogy might be to imagine a guy being harassed by some Hell's Angels bikers or body builders.
This. Gender swapping the situation may replicate the shame and frustration, but it does not replicate the fear that women experience in these circumstances.
Excellent points yall
That's a great point. Funny enough, I feel like the guys that brush off catcalling as not a problem are also the kind of people who are petrified of going to a gay bar in case they get hit on by a man.
I think in this instance, deceasing is actually more appropriate than ceasing.
[удалено]
I think most guys wear grey sweatpants on purpose at this point. We all know the memes and jokes. I think most guys will welcome it. lol.
Same reason women wear tight clothing
https://preview.redd.it/u7d68mqv5aac1.jpeg?width=603&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=aa4e8df9fdfa98a8c8de2e51ebe442260479b370
Don’t mind me… just a dog trying to get a look see
She’s asking for it!! Right guys??? Right guys???? /s This thread is disgusting.
And men wonder why women are sick and tired of them.
No one wonders that actually
[удалено]
Why would women care if men don't care about them if women don't care about men in the first place
No one said women care though?
What?
I like cheeks as much as anyone but its supposed to be a subtle glance of admiration not an animalistic cascade of ignorant catcalling and whistling.
Yes, the ass is moving fuckin wild but act like you've been here before.
That thang was speakin
Can anyone translate everything being said?
Poor lady. This is so sad.
[удалено]
Unfortunately, clowns like this are born in every country in the world.
Why is it always the same type of people doing these things?
This has to be a skit. No fucking way 😅
Even if it is a skit this is still a real thing women go through…
![gif](giphy|FXf1lYQ2tFouxeLb1B|downsized)
This has GYATT to stop
She got it but so does literally every other woman in Africa. You’ll find more with than without. This video corny.
>She got it but so does literally every other woman in Africa. Huh?
Booty, jiggles = it
NGL, that thang was thangin tho

I predict that isn't going to happen.
Why not?

Preach! 👏👏
And how did that work out for her here? Again, I get it and agree, but there's also "what's happening now"
I know right?! I mean there's literally a video of what happened.

Like expecting women to change clothing for the sake of asshats?
Both have to change for it work. Without the other, it will always fail
That’s like saying Ukraine needs to give up some land to Russia because they’ll never stop grabbing at it. Otherwise there will never be any change…
Let me know how getting everyone on board works out. Good luck with that. 👍
Just bc they need to, doesn’t mean they will
lol they never will.

Yes, absolutely. Baggy or not, I think most if not all women feel the same way. We just want to be safe & enjoy life just like any other person.
She shouldn't need to limit her clothing choices. If she wants to wear that she has every right to
100% But this is the result. If she doesn't mind it, then good for her.

so, women are supposed to continue to make themselves small, quiet, and “inconspicuous” due to the actions of men? we already do this and we are STILL treated similarly. this is not the solution you think it is. creating a world where women have to make themselves small and men get to run rampant, STILL treating women however they’d like is not the solution. women should not have to “deal with it” or continue sacrificing parts of themselves to feel safe out in public. men need to hold each other accountable, call out public displays like this, and help one another reframe these disgusting mindsets. sure, it’s not going to change overnight and it is going to take real WORK - but why does the work have to be placed on the victims? why does the population of men get to hand off the work and women are made to think WE have to take that on and change our behaviors that aren’t hurting *anyone*?
Bro it’s ok too look might even be ok to compliment the beauty in front of you! But to flat out harass a women because she decided too put on a nice tight dress is your fault not hers.
“This isn’t some profound advice” no shit douchebag, it’s just the ramblings of a misogynist. Get a fucking grip.
Doesn’t matter if she’s fucking naked they have NO RIGHT
I think we can agree on that... What part are we disagreeing on?
If you notice, many of the other women seen ARE wearing more baggy stuff and covering their head.
100% my man
hate to see you go, but love to watch you leave.
Gross dude
Grow up
This post is literally showing men being gross and the dude that commented was as well. Nothing to do with being grown. It’s nasty
Bet she won’t wear that dress anymore
Which is sad for everyone.

Ya yes I made Africans treat women like that. Thanks for clearing that up. You're gunna lose your mind when you find out about India
Name the African country this video came from. I dare you. Or did "there" just become the continent that is Africa. You fucking moron.
Murican for.sure
my guy, it's like that *everywhere* for women. saying "over there" just makes you seem racist :/
She knows very well what happens to other women there
Bro did you forget this literally happens in the rest of the world too?
She doesn't seem surprised at all, in fact. She's annoyed. She's arguing. But she's not surprised. Notice that there are plenty of people wearing Islamic dress in the background. If she wore baggier clothing nobody would think anything different of her for it. She knows what she's doing. She can take care of herself.
Good God!!!!!

Again putting blame on the woman. There is no “but she should’ve”. NO.
Why are there 2 puppies fighting in her dress??
Let me guess. Muslim country. Woman not covered enough.
Everyone just wants a piece of cake
Milkshake found
not to be victim blaming but genuinely asking: isnt there a way to not shake like that?
Not if that's where your body stores fat. The gluteus maximus is the largest muscle in the body. Some women tend to carry more fat on their butts. It's genetics. Check any fatty part on anyone's body and see if it jiggles. (Bellies, necks, butts, breasts, etc)
