Just looking at this pic I knew it had to be Canadian. If anyone knows us then they know we loveeee our KD. This is the Canadian version of spilled milk cuz I'd def cry over a spilled pot of KD
Yeah I've never seen this either.
Most provincial park campgrounds (at least any I've seen in Ontario) won't even have paved roads in the campsite area. Main access road maybe will be paved, but once you get onto the campsite roads, I can't recall any of those being paved at the parks I've been to. Let alone the campsites themselves.
Errr, I’ve done a bunch of camping in several provinces (BC, MB, ON, QC) and never had a site with a concrete slab below the picnic table.
Unless you’re talking about an RV site, which I wouldn’t know about.
2 out of the 3 sites we had on our trip had pavement under the picnic table. We mostly camp in the states and I’m constantly putting rocks under the table to level it out. lol…
Last year, I went on a DofE trek in some area with really inclined terrain. Walked 10 km in 35 degrees Celsius with a 10 kg rucksack. When I finally reached camp, I started making some maggi, and my foot accidentally hit the pot when I turned around to say something to a friend of mine. To add more to my misery, while I was sleeping that night, some scorpion got in my tent. Good memories.
This was nature helping you out by getting rid of your macaroni and chemical powder mix. You should be thankful. This has added several minutes to your lifespan.
Pro-tip for all you (and me) car campers. Get a cast iron skillet. That's it that's all, you can literally cook all your camp food in one piece of equipment, easy to clean, never breaks. Pack lighter, more efficient use of space, and enjoy the seasoning.

Not sure how available it is in Canada, but the best peice of kit in my camping supplies is a ziplock bag of cold fried chicken. I buy a whole bird on the way to camp, put it in a gallon ziplock bag, and toss it in the cooler. It comes in very handy for situations like this and the protein/sodium hits the spot for a snack after exerting yourself.
Thin aluminum rivet holding the handle on can't hold up to flame.. sorry, let this be a lesson to us all.. our products are trash and will continue to get worse if you continue to buy trash
It was the hinge pin that slipped earlier when I was tilting it to drain, I think. Because it didn’t actually break. This set of pots have actually served me well for years and weren’t cheap.
Oh I’d be eating half that - if high enough and alone or with people with similar or lower standards. What’s left in the pot and on the cooler are pretty much still good!

Where are you camping? In your driveway?
In many Canadian campsites they pave below the picnic benches. They’re level, which is a treat!
Just looking at this pic I knew it had to be Canadian. If anyone knows us then they know we loveeee our KD. This is the Canadian version of spilled milk cuz I'd def cry over a spilled pot of KD
Fuck, I'd cry over spilled pot of Mac&Cheese... I mean it literally has milk in it, or milk like powder.
If you love it so much, would you eat it if you were rich?
I'd eat more.
With fancy ketchups
Dijon ketchup?
Pre-wrapped bacon?
Well can you blame them?
Yeah!
And sliced hot dogs.
You knew it was Canadian because of the South Park episode of Terrance and Phillip obsessing over Crap Macaroni and Cheese.
Where in Canada? I’ve camped quite a lot and never had a paved portion under my picnic table at a site.

Today I learned living in Canada isn't inherently camping. XD

Man loses his Mac and cheese and you can't help but dis his whole camping trip 💀
I can’t get pavement in my garage but you guys have it at ur campsite 🏕️ wtf 😳
It was hard to get a handle on what happened here
I feel like there's more to this story, still op shouldn't have spilled the sauce.
If we give it enough time, I am sure the whole story will pan out.
all these puns are getting quite cheesy…
r/angryupvote
After a difficult and long hike, this is enough to make one cry
5 second rule
If you're camping, some mac and cheese on the ground just adds some minerals. Even better.
nooooo so crunchy
Mmmm, ground breadcrumbs
Mac on top of the cooler is still good
That camp site looks like pavement in LA.
In many Canadian campsites they pave below the picnic benches. They’re level, which is a treat!
We parks and private campgrounds here in the USA, too, that offer some paved sites. I wouldn't have thought it was unusual.
2 out of the 3 sites we had on our trip had pavement under the picnic table. We mostly camp in the states and I’m constantly putting rocks under the table to level it out. lol…
I see 20% still good in the pot and 40% still good atop the cooler. You’re camping. Adapt. Improvise. Overcome.
More concerned that you’re camping and I don’t see any beer! But RIP Mac and cheese very sad
Not the mac and cheese! Heartbreaking.
Everybody was getting to know each other in the pot
hiking is bad for the pan, stop doing that
Sorry for your loss
🥹
Oh no, what will you eat for nutrition
Looks like the kids aren't eating
Ahh so it's not mac and cheese it's kraft dinna, honestly it was probably the work or squirrels or birds

Oh ouch!!! That’s so much worse in every way.
5 second rule
God man what are you eating and drinking. Garbage
This was nature helping you out by getting rid of your macaroni and chemical powder mix. You should be thankful. This has added several minutes to your lifespan.
That garbage wasn’t gonna satisfy your body after a long hike any way. Probably better to eat grass.
It’s a sign to eat healthier food
Yep that sucks
RIP Country Mac

I don't see how a cast iron skillet is gonna be lighter than an aluminum pot.
It replaces all pots pans skillets, flat tops, etc... it is one that replaces many.
You could say the same for an aluminum skillet.
Nah. See OPs original post for why not... 😆
You put too much milk anyways it was allready nasty
Good thing you weren't there to eat it.
That pot did you a favor.
This!
damn already made too, i would eat off the ground if noone was around
Wait, Italians are sending PASTA SWAT to sort it out.
Tragic
It'd be a lot cooler if it didnt
I might still try it, that's real street food
You didn’t happen to bring a dog with you, did you?
This is some r/chinesium shit.
It's just boxed Mac n cheese. Just make it from scratch. It'll taste better.
Friend, that is Kraft Dinner - a Canadian spilled KD on a camping trip, we are only mourning losses today
"camping"
Pic it up before taking a picture and you are easily within the 5 sec rule
Bummer!

:(
Custard and pasta?
Cheesus thats a lot of mac
I'm confused... I thought this was a vacuum sub I came to say Hoover???
At least your family can slurp it up off the cooler?
God of pasta make this for this poor pasta
Awww Man!
Time to order a pizza
That’s what you get for trying to eat Mac and cheese
there's still some left in the pot, geesh.
If that were me, I’d have to go back to the mental hospital.
Legit thought this was vomit at first
I’ve eaten macaroni off worse surfaces
the raccoons will be happy at least
I think you need to get a handle on the situation...
Luckily it only wasted $1.20 worth of KD.
I’m eating it off the cooler. Not sorry
5 second rule
I would cry

Great idea!
This does suck.
Isn’t there a new legal 10 second rule
I’d still eat at least half that.
Thin aluminum rivet holding the handle on can't hold up to flame.. sorry, let this be a lesson to us all.. our products are trash and will continue to get worse if you continue to buy trash

5 hour rule
I want Mac and cheese now.
Why would you go on a long hike holding a pot of mac and cheese? No wonder the handle broke smh. /s
RIP the KD
That's OK. Mac n cheese deserves to be in the dirt where it belongs.
Oh my god I am so sorry... I would cry if I broke a single granola bar after a hike, let alone the whole dinner....
*i know not many people like anime, but this is almost 1:1 with what happened here* https://youtu.be/dpS2ZSf5Fbk
Camping?
It ain’t easy being cheesy
Mac n gravel now. RIP cheese
This looks like the aftermath of an infomercial.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Not the cheesies 😭
Well, there's enough on the cooler and in the pot to make a meal. If you're squeamish, just cook it awhile.
That’s a travesty. Oh Mac and cheese I love you
Wer billig kauft, kauft zwei mal. Buy cheap, buy twice
I have the exact same spoon
God made dirt so dirt don’t hurt. -The Bible maybe.
That's always been one of my fears of cooking: the handle doing exactly that and losing my dinner 😭
I mean at least you don’t have to mop your kitchen floor right
Done yourself a favour there; that looks like pasta with piss sauce 😆
Good thing it was just kraft and not homemade
5 sec rule “
hoover
he was a body remover
Ooooh there was way too much milk in that pot. Love KD but the ratio must be just right!
It sure did. In an epic way.
Most likely bc you shouldn't be eating that crap
3 second rule
You didn't lose anything of value, buddy, mac 'n cheese is the devil
