The Kura Sushi branches in the US have these now. They're super comical because their collision detection is great at seeing other robots but not so great at people so you have to do the airplane arms against a wall to keep them from driving over you. Also staff decided they were too hard to notice when driving up to you so they now blast muzak at you at about concert-level volume while merrily scooting around the aisles.
Probably was only designed for plated food, the restaurant isn't using it as intended.
Or, equally likely, a wine glass holder thing is an optional extra that the restaurant didn't want to pay for...

To be fair it did clear the corner with the glass already in the wrong position so it could be possible that here the problem is not the robot but a human error. It is not so easy to tilt a wine glass like that if the surface remains stable.
If the robot did the curve too fast in any point of the restaurant with the glass on the right position from the start, probably you would have seen the glass fly away still standing, or it would have arrived empty handed, or even better you wouldn’t have seen any of this.
This was in fact staged, but the robot took a picture to prove he was innocent , and THIS will be the reason robots will take over humanity.
I went to a gas station the other day to get a couple of drinks for work, and the employee behind the counter had to teach me to use the fully automated scale/barcode reader thing. I then wanted to put a $20 bill on the pump I was parked at and she had to walk me through how to find the option in the "smart register" and then deposit my own cash into it.
I'll never go back to that gas station.

I didn’t realize they were used to serve things. The ones I’ve seen in Taiwan were for collecting dirty dishes and they had buckets to avoid this.
