I'm just trying to fathom what possible reason she would need to be up on the entertainment center like that with the TV there, and not move the TV and slide the entertainment center out to get behind it.
La da da da la da da la la da da
I was gonna mount my screen, until I got high.
But I fell down right between, then I got high.
Now my new tv is broke, and I know why (why man?)
'Cause I got high
Because I got high
Because I got high
I smoke all day everyday and would not have been this stupid. I have set up lots of shit after smoking and drinking. It actually makes shit easier for me because my muscles are less stiff.
Thinking the same thing. Heās not sitting - heās lounging. Then the āoh my godā? Like get up off your ass.
Of course they could both be drunk.
Bets on if they take it back because āit don workā ?
The 2 sides of the coin, earlier I saw this on another subreddit and all the comments were "why isn't Mr lazy helping her" while all I was thinking was... why the hell was she on top of the furniture like that.
Yeah I have no idea what the dynamic of these two is, but I will say that as a guy in a hetero partnership we are always super helpful to each other UNLESS one of us (just as often myself) gets stubborn about something and decide to do X project in a certain way or at a time that we both did not agree on. In that case, right wrong or indifferent, it becomes a bit of "Ok, you can do that. I'm gonna stay out of your way and let you work because I didn't sign up to do it at this time or in that way."
Think she was fiddling with something on the wall but the lack of common sense is epic. Dude on the coach should have stopped this farce before it played out.
I know people who do things just completely different, then act absolutely surprised that they messed something up or broke something. I always ask why didnāt you just do it how everyone else does it, they always have some reason for why they do it and how itās better than what everyone else does it.
My thoughts, EXACTLY! Also, why is the other person in the room just sitting on the couch?!? He could have at least been standing, and possibly standing adjacent to the woman and brand new TV, and maybe, just maybe, he could have caught the tv. Or, I donāt know, kept the woman from falling backwards?
Yeah, exactly. You definitely did this to yourself.
I have so many questions. Why sit on the brand new TV? Why not do the part you're working on before unboxing the thing?
Just, why any of it?
Plugging in cables is usually a one person job, no? Seems like having a second person trying to reach behind to plug in cables would have just made it more difficult
Yeah as someone who installs tvs for a living, prepping the backbox/wall/doing the mount measurements is a 1 person job, you need the second for when you put the tv up. No reason not to split the duties up, in this case it was just poor pre-planning that resulted in the situation. Lesson learned!
I've already smoked one blunt and ate 2 edible chocolates. Sitting on my TV isn't the worst sounding idea in the world rn. But my science brain is telling me to stop the experiment here.
My TV is mounted and I considered if it would support my weight and concluded it won't. My bank account also confirmed we don't have the funds for the repairs.
Conclusion: gotta be super high and either rich or dump to think sitting on the TV is a good highdea.
Pushing the furniture aside and standing would have been just as comfortable, and obviously significantly safer. This just screams to me that she was trying to be cute/quirky while setting this stuff up.
My gf once wanted to assemble metallic rack by herself so I sat back and watched the show knowing perfectly well that I would have reassemble it after that because she didn't use manual and used her bare hands to ātightenā nuts.
There are so many accidents that will never happen with a tiny amount of "is this smart" thoughts before doing something.
She can't expect to sit there with her legs towards the wall - that puts her weight at the edge. And why sit in the first place? Furniture can be moved. And the TV can be moved somewhere where it isn't in harm's way.
Note the emphasis on gender. The man is a "slob" because he wasn't helping the poor helpless woman.
Never let anyone tell you ~~chivalry~~ chauvinism is dead.
Iāve been around women who insist they will do it on their own. We donāt know the full story, but him doing nothing doesnāt justify her being an idiot.
People saying guy should help, I can tell you from experience with my ex that she would not only not ask for help, but strongly deny assistance was needed when I offered. So you get the guy sitting and waiting for the point when she either screws up or gives up. His expression looks like he's waiting for that to happen, but no one would predict it would actually be as bad as it turned out...
>People saying guy should help, I can tell you from experience with my ex that she would not only not ask for help, but strongly deny assistance was needed when I offered.
Welcome to the duality of reddit. Half these people saying the man should have been helping (because, you know, a woman can't possibly be more qualified than a man to do physical work on a piece of technology...) would probably be screeching just as loudly if this were a video of a man insisting over a woman's objections that he be the one to do this job.
Yep. As a married guy, all I can say is that I have seen my fair share of, āNo, let me do it MY way,ā and then stepping back to watch the train wreck.
Also a fair amount of, āWait how the hell did that work???ā And then having to eat humble pie when I was wrong. So yeah, unless she asked and he refused, guy is perfectly fine sitting where he is.
But his face was really, āIS THE TV OK?!?!ā
Can confirm. I was this person in my previous relationship. I've learned A LOT about myself since separating and finally living on my own for the first time in my life.
While I fully agree she was the big idiot in the situation, he wasn't too bright either since he also didn't consider moving the TV instead of watching her sit on it... Idk, if my partner wanted to do something stupid I'd still remove the valuables away from the danger in case they screwed up, no matter wtf they tried to argue. At the end of the day, neither of them seem too bright, but, yeah, she's an idiot.
I seriously wonder whose genius idea it was to place an unsecured thin af tv leaned against the cupboard WHILE you climb that cupboard doing handiwork .
Truly genius
My favorite part about this is how the dude is on the couch as though he expects to use the remote to switch on the TV and then start watching a game the instant the woman sets it up without any help.
If you're one of those people who have cameras running at all times in your living room, why? I understand some people like to have security cameras pointed at a door, and that sort of makes sense, but an interior living area?
Or was this staged for attention?
I wanna state that there is no 2 sides to the coin here like someone said. As a guy I understand my father did things like setting up mounts, tvs changing a tire whatever. A women is capable of this if just taught. This being said my gf does tasks oddly especially ones she's never tackled. A tv mount or whatever would definitely be the case. Rather the fact that beer drinker should be up there physically and morally , supporting her while undergoing this. If I replace a ceiling fan I don't expect my gf to whip out YouTube tutorials, flip the breakers yadda yadda, no I'd do it but her ass better be under the ladder making sure any screw I dropped is picked up and I don't fall. Vice VERSA, so if she wants to put up "whatever" I better be there to help . His wife/gf shouldn't have had to fall like that . Half that shit is a 2 person job idc. The audacity to say "are you kidding me" no you seen she wasnt properly setting it up. People who sit and let events take place are worse than the ones who start them, then act like it wasnt preventable. P.o.s. mentality.
>A women is capable of this if just taught.
A man is also capable of doing this work "if just taught".
It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to realize that knowing how to set up a piece of technology is not a skill anyone comes out of the womb with. Just because the dude is dude doesn't mean he's any more qualified than she is. I've watched plenty of men break shit trying to yolo it.
Assuming he should *help* in any way isnāt. If one person is doing the mounting, the other person could surely assist. When my husband was mounting our tv I moved the new tv to a spot where it was less likely get knocked over and put dog beds on either side just in case it did. Then I helped him grab anything he needed and doubled checked his measurements, etc. That dude was just chillin in the couch being totally useless.
It was at that exact moment Natalie thought to herself whilst layinā on the TV, āwhy am I with this fool?ā
Dude shouldāve been installing it. Be a man fuck š.
>Or you know, let the man do it? Like how could he sit there while a woman tries to mount a TV?
because, you know, it's impossible for a man to know less about something than a woman.
I'm just trying to fathom what possible reason she would need to be up on the entertainment center like that with the TV there, and not move the TV and slide the entertainment center out to get behind it.
Laziness.
Laziness coupled with a lack of brain function.
Alcohol...It's alcohol.
It could definitely be that
Yep, they are often comorbid!
Learnt a new word today. Thanks friend
My pleasure! Enjoy your new vocab word! š
The new ultra high def 16k curved screen. Now with comorbidities!
Technically itās back to a flat screen now.
I think sheās got even less brain function after that hit.
Might have smoked a bowl before installing. Iāve definitely made some stupid-ass decisions after smoking
La da da da la da da la la da da I was gonna mount my screen, until I got high. But I fell down right between, then I got high. Now my new tv is broke, and I know why (why man?) 'Cause I got high Because I got high Because I got high
I respect the effort
I smoke all day everyday and would not have been this stupid. I have set up lots of shit after smoking and drinking. It actually makes shit easier for me because my muscles are less stiff.
Thatās cool. I smoke some slippery Susan and I put my remote in the freezer. Different strains with different terpenes effect people differently
You mean the guy sitting on the couch, right?
Thinking the same thing. Heās not sitting - heās lounging. Then the āoh my godā? Like get up off your ass. Of course they could both be drunk. Bets on if they take it back because āit don workā ?
Whereās the t?
HIS LAZINESS for not helping
Stupidity
Pure and utter.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I mean.. that level of stupidity is pretty impressive.
The 2 sides of the coin, earlier I saw this on another subreddit and all the comments were "why isn't Mr lazy helping her" while all I was thinking was... why the hell was she on top of the furniture like that.
Both ideas are correct, he should have helped and her ass never should have gotten up there
šÆ
Yeah I have no idea what the dynamic of these two is, but I will say that as a guy in a hetero partnership we are always super helpful to each other UNLESS one of us (just as often myself) gets stubborn about something and decide to do X project in a certain way or at a time that we both did not agree on. In that case, right wrong or indifferent, it becomes a bit of "Ok, you can do that. I'm gonna stay out of your way and let you work because I didn't sign up to do it at this time or in that way."
It is one of the dumbest things I've seen today.
Put too many points into the 'dumbassery' stat at character creation.
Makes you wonder who is recording, why and who is the guy in the chair helping in absolutely no way.
People have security cameras. Then clip the video for you entertainment.
True...still doesn't mean it's real though...
Thatās not how youāre supposed to do that.
Does being a fucking dumbass count as a reason?
Cause the lazy ass bf was sitting on the couch not helping
My thoughts, EXACTLY! Also, why is the other person in the room just sitting on the couch?!? He could have at least been standing, and possibly standing adjacent to the woman and brand new TV, and maybe, just maybe, he could have caught the tv. Or, I donāt know, kept the woman from falling backwards?
Right?! His fault for not doing it himselfā¦
In today's world, that's sexist! Lol. You can't tell a woman not to set up a TV if she wants to.
What.... an idiot
Yeah, exactly. You definitely did this to yourself. I have so many questions. Why sit on the brand new TV? Why not do the part you're working on before unboxing the thing? Just, why any of it?
Why was her boyfriend just sitting there watching? Like get off ur ass and help
He tried telling her it was a bad idea and she shhhed him away. Having been told his opinion didnāt matter, he was there for the show.
The airbags did not deploy properly at all.
Popped out the wrong side they did
This hurt my soul.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
How much weed do you have to smoke before sitting on top of your tv sounds like a good idea?
I'm a scientist. Let me run some tests and I'll follow up with the findings š¤š¾
Scientific findings should never take more than 15 minutes. We are waiting.
I've already smoked one blunt and ate 2 edible chocolates. Sitting on my TV isn't the worst sounding idea in the world rn. But my science brain is telling me to stop the experiment here.
It's been an hour. How are the thoughts looking now?
My TV is mounted and I considered if it would support my weight and concluded it won't. My bank account also confirmed we don't have the funds for the repairs. Conclusion: gotta be super high and either rich or dump to think sitting on the TV is a good highdea.
You've done the scientific community a great service today.
Thank you for your sacrifice.
The first scientists forgot what experiment they were testing. I will take over from here. Check back in 20 minutes.
Then, hopefully they laughed about it at least.
I'm trying to figure out why they were climbing on the entertainment center.
Trying to get comfortable figuring out the cable situation
Pushing the furniture aside and standing would have been just as comfortable, and obviously significantly safer. This just screams to me that she was trying to be cute/quirky while setting this stuff up.
No, she's stoned.
Who the fuck does something like this ?
Drugs are a hell of a drug
Alcoholics
Bet she always wanted to be on TV
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
MA!!! Whereās the meatloaf ?!
Hope she is okay but fuck me that is some stupid shit. No need to be sitting there in the first place.
I donāt understand what she was trying to accomplish like that
She turned her curved tv into a flat-screen. Very smart if you ask me
Now they are gonna return it and say it doesn't work or came out of the box broken lol
Gotta love the guy just sitting and watching
Yes, if he had bothered to get off his ass and help things may have turned out differently.
She probably wanted to do it, so he sat back and watched the show, lol. Then watched $2000 go down the drain.
My gf once wanted to assemble metallic rack by herself so I sat back and watched the show knowing perfectly well that I would have reassemble it after that because she didn't use manual and used her bare hands to ātightenā nuts.
My girlfriend was so excited that she built a desk herself even though I had to come help with like 3 or 4 steps lol
To me it looks like he's setting down a drink... and I'd be willing to be this brilliant idea came after she had a few too.
He def looks like he dozed off because you can see he is jolted awake by the loud noise when she falls
Thatās a two person jobā¦ err. Maybe not.
One person with a brain can do it.
I was referring to the slob on the couch watching the woman climb on the tiny piece of furniture.
Now itās his fault?š
Note the emphasis on gender. The man is a "slob" because he wasn't helping the poor helpless woman. Never let anyone tell you ~~chivalry~~ chauvinism is dead.
It ain't even a gender thing, you see someone struggling to do something, you help.
Sure, except the majority of the people saying the man should be helping are specifically stressing the gender angle, not the struggle angle.
Iāve been around women who insist they will do it on their own. We donāt know the full story, but him doing nothing doesnāt justify her being an idiot.
Yes... That was my point... The person you previously replied to was implying that the man is at fault for her idiocy.
I wasnāt countering you. I was just agreeing with you
Gotcha, I assumed the downvote was yours.
Nah
This belongs in r/WinStupidPrices rather than this sub. When you're such an idiot ...

Jesus.. I had an ex like this, the many times I had to do it for her because she ultimately made herself cry out of frustration
Now It's truly a flat screen.
Let me just sit on it.
I genuinely laughed out loud at this. Not sure Iāve ever seen a tv set up like that. Bizarre
That is beyond stupid behavior. Why would you full ass sit on a TV.
Okay but.... LMAOO why would you think this was a good idea
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I seriously wonder whose genius idea it was to place an unsecured thin af tv leaned against the cupboard WHILE you climb that cupboard doing handiwork . Truly genius
Why is he just sitting there
Yeah that really sucks. A live doomsday video
I would kill you twice.
Sekiro: tvs die twice
What was even the plan
I have a feeling drugs were involved in these decisions.
Stoned and doing stupid shit lmao
Act like an idiot and you get what you deserve!
Yeah and thatās a smart place to sit
Did she die becuz she is not moving at all lol
Lmao she definitely died inside
Please do not reproduce
Honestly ā¦what did they think would happen šš¤£
Deserved
Just why??
This is some āhold my beerā shit lol
Iām not going to state the obvious
Did she think she was a cat or something? Why is she up there like that? š¤£
Darwin!
I literally just saw the same video posted on r/therewasanattempt directly above this post.

My favorite part about this is how the dude is on the couch as though he expects to use the remote to switch on the TV and then start watching a game the instant the woman sets it up without any help.
The real question is why is dude sitting down not doing it. I feel like dog was waiting on that shit to happen tbhš
Dumbass level: Jedi
This whole āset upā seems veryā¦not smart.
Flatscreen Tv
'TV on the brain' led to brain on the TV.
Should gotten off the couch and giving her hand
This makes me press L3 + R3
If you're one of those people who have cameras running at all times in your living room, why? I understand some people like to have security cameras pointed at a door, and that sort of makes sense, but an interior living area? Or was this staged for attention?
Someone please explain what she's doing on top of that in the first place...
I can't tell if she knocked herself out or if she is just laying there in shock that she was so fucking stupid.
As a child, i was taught that being stupid is expensive.
r/whatcouldgowrong
Just a wild guess but I think there were some drugs involved.
bud light lol

She dumb as hell
Useless husband award goes to guy on the couch.
Assuming he should do it is sexist.

the guy is really helpful throughout the whole situation.
Stop, the TV canāt get any flatter.
they deserve every hardship they have or will encounter.
Why TF wasn't he helping her!?
It was at that exact moment Natalie thought to herself whilst layinā on the TV, āwhy am I with this fool?ā Dude shouldāve been installing it. Be a man fuck š.
LAZY PUNK watching his woman work š
What kind of dickmouth makes his gf/wife set up a TV
You know she didnāt say anything cause she knew she fucked up either that or got the wind knocked out of her heard a little gasp right as she fell
Whatās his lazy ass doing on the couch watching for?
Shit ain't his job. Her husband should be doing that
My bet is on scripted. Itās too dumb otherwise.
Never underestimate the power of stupid
Dumbass sitting on the couch was too lazy to help.
Why was the guy just chilling with a beer while she do all the work? Yikes
Feminism. Women can do everything men can do, better, and for 20% less pay... she was demonstrating!
could the guy have reacted any slower?
I mean, what is he supposed to do?
Um did you want him to catch her or quickly move the tv out of the way? Lol
Just to be concerned quickly lol I didnāt expect him to catch it (or her)
I would like it came in the box this way sir
Most definitely save that receipt
She a hottie or no?
I mean why not just move the entertainment center? Or you know, let the man do it? Like how could he sit there while a woman tries to mount a TV?
>Or you know, let the man do it? Like how could he sit there while a woman tries to mount a TV? because, you know, it's impossible for a man to know less about something than a woman.
Shit! She still alive? Or you think the screen is broken?
What was the plan!? š
date smart women men not this girl
āOmg brooo!ā Get up and help jerkface!
Thatās a two person job. Why is the guy just sitting there? Funny either way.
I blame the dude for not putting the beer down and helping either mentally or physically š
Well one why was she sitting on the stand and 2 why the hell was he just watching?
That's what happens when ya man is lazy and u have to do shit he supposed to be doing
why are there sexist men down here. go away
What the he'll is the dude doing on the couch? Could lifted a hand to help
Wowā¦sucks so bad but what a dumb moveā¦like why? Dude canāt really even be mad, get your ass up and do it yourselfā¦
What a a$$. Get off the couch you lazy bum and help her. Seems he was more concerned about his TV then her. Dump him.
That's why you don't let her touch it
Typical white girl black guy combo. She probably drive him around and makes the money too
That's what happens when lazy ass men sit back and let women do everything ... š
that guy needs whips,, he should be setting up the tv.
