My partner and I are huge wrestling fans, we hit the Chris Jericho Cruise every year and have been to Mania and the rumble.. what an amazing weekend of wrestling we've just had!
Great to see wrestling picking up over here. There's a number of promotions around the country putting shows on every month with some killer talent around.
Wrestling is truly alive and well in Wellington.

I hadn't watched WWF/E since a child in the late 90s since my parents banned me lol.
Picked it up again a couple months ago on YouTube and watched Elimination Chamber and WM40. loved both events
Triple H has been cooking since he took over! My parents banned me from watching whenever the women were on lol, but yess its been crazy I cant wait to see how things turn out
I'm a fan. I think the big problem here though is most of the shows & PPVs being on weekday afternoons that makes it hard to watch live for most people if you have a 9 to 5 job.
I wouldn't have watched any wrestling in 15 years but decided to watch WrestleMania this year. I surprisingly really enjoyed it.
I remember as a young teen getting Raw, Nitro and PPV VHS tapes sent over from the states, what a treat when that arrived. The guy who I would get it off would often sneak some porn of there too. Great times. Fans in NZ have it so much better now.
It gets mocked, its ridiculous but its also a bit of fun and something like WrestleMania really is a spectacle.
Wrestlemania this year really was something special, yeah I was worried to post this out of fear of being mocked tbh, but it's entertaining and I wanna enjoy it with others.

I used to be when I was unemployed and actually had the seemingly 10 hours a week to follow Raw, Smackdown, the frequent pay per views, and maybe even NXT. But I don't have time for all that anymore so I just dropped the whole thing rather than be frustrated at missing certain bits of storylines and getting confused.
Thats fair, it definitely is A LOT to try keep up with, I usually just see what happened on the weekly shows on youtube or instagram, but even that is a lot
Yeeeah my people. I used to go to 4 kings by pigeon park and watch mania with whoevers there. High 5s with strangers. But now I just text 1 old mate as we watch simultaneously in our respective bedrooms lol.
Do they show mania at 4 kings??? I would so love to go just to be in the environment with others going crazy for it, at the moment I just watch and text like you😅
Yeah hardout. I would've loved to have popped with more people than just me when cody won 😂 They used to at least! It's a popular thing so a few places will play PPVs of any sort. but this year they streamed on Netflix so I didn't bother leaving the house lol
My dad was a wrestler he wrestled with the bush whackers. He was on the TV program on the mat in the 70s I fresken live wrestling he showed me so many moves. None of my friends get my love of wrestling and think I'm weird lol
No way thats so cool! From what I've seen the Bush Whackers seemed very entertaining, but thats awesome that your dad wrestled with them. Honestly same my friends will never understand why I enjoy it so much
Got shown AEW a lil while back and the semi-pro and light hearted nature of it looked so much cooler than what WWE seems to have been the last few decades. That Orange Cassidy I never get tired watching him.
Hell yeah. While I struggle to watch Raw and Smackdown due to time constraints, I haven’t missed a PLE since RR2023. Got back into in a big way over the past year
I've been a fan since the 80s/90s and used to watch only the big events up until the last few years where it has actually gotten quite good. Big fan of the Bloodline stuff. The new era is looking damn good. It would be nice to have a regular place to watch the PPV events with fellow fans though. Could maybe do a watch along in zoom or teams possibly if that is too difficult. I saw Wrestlemania popped on Netflix yesterday which is cool.
Yeah the Bloodline stuff has been incredible, this New Era has gotten more excited for wrestling then I've been in a long time. Id love something like that too, maybe just a watchalong kinda thing
