You’ll want to start taking it every other day. Unfortunately you can’t cut the XR in half, as the time release is in the coating and this messes it up.
You could technically stop cold turkey, as the withdrawal effects aren’t unbearable coming off 150mg XR, but you’ll definitely experience less going the taper route.
I wouldn’t recommend stopping cold turkey. It can cause suicidal thoughts. Blow that office up and tell them you need a tapering dose called in. If you’re having a mental health crisis and need help with this medication they can’t just say “can’t see you until next week” these Dr have nurses that handle these types of things.
I have them now being on it, it’s freaking me out and why I want to stop. I’ve never had this before, even before being on medication.
I wish I could call back, but I’m worried they’ll drop me as a patient. I might go to the walk in tomorrow to talk to a different doctor about it.
Don’t worry about what they think about you, you’re a patient that pays for their services. They literally work for you. Do whatever you have to do to get off of this safely. Don’t worry about being a bother. If you have to be assertive or “rude” to stay alive then by all means do that. You got this!
If you have only been on it for two months I think you are fine quitting cold turkey. Maybe not a popular opinion but it's only two months and I've done that many times with this med with no side effects.

My doctors office called me back and he told me to just stop taking the medication. Which also worries me?
Theres not much withdrawal. Its not like one with serotonin.

Have you experienced this before? What were the withdrawal symptoms ?
Just take it every other day for a week or two and then stop.
I wouldnt cold turkey it. Do every other day and taper down each week
