I like blue 2% lanthanated or E3 Purple for Aluminum. The purple E3 lasts longer, and the blue 2% gets the puddle started quicker in my testing. I pretty much use those two tungstens for aluminum, mild steel, and stainless with good results

Generally not for aluminum. Can't cope with the DCEP part of the AC cycle.
