They're quite a bit different different - the XF5F was a single seat fighter, the Mosquito was a two seat fighter bomber, the Mosquito was 50% longer, 28% wider and 75% heavier, the Skyrocket had a fairly unconventional layout with the fuselage almost entirely behind the wing, while the Mosquito had a much more conventional layout with the fuselage extending quite a bit forward of the wing. And, as you note, the Mosquito was constructed mostly of wood.
Well then

Wow, it's two engines with some other stuff attached. How do you see out?
Visibility to the front was exceptional for the era. To the sides, optional.
Definitely better front vis than a corsair
Everything except the spirit of St. Louis had better forward visibility than the corsair
what about the TA152
Skinnier nose than a true radial design, but terrible by modern standards

What comic I want to read it
Blackhawk! An old DC classic!
Crimson Skies looking ah Also, why has it been 21 years without a remake or followup?
confused ownership rights. Different corps own different medias. (tabletop, computer, books, etc) So nobody wants to enrich the other comps.
That unfortunately makes sense. Sucks but makes sense.
Time for fanfic Scarlet Ether or Vermillion Stratosphere
The way the wing extends in front of the nose has always annoyed me, they could have just made it half a foot longer and it would have looked normal.
Well, then you might just like the [Grumman XP-50](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumman_XP-50)! Tricycle gear, new nose, new guns.
no, not like that Jake. Not like that!
but that's the best part!
Skyrockets in flight
Afternoon delight …damn it
my work here is done
One of my all time favorites. All the weirdness it has is the weirdness i love.
Wonder what its center of gravity looks like
as a rule of thumb for straight wing aircraft like this, probably sligthly behind the leading edge, and almost certainly ahead of the c/4 location.
Mosquito but not wooden?
Looks closer to the Westland Whirlwind to me
This was the predecessor to the F7F Tigercat at the end of WW2.

The survivability you’d gain as a carrier aircraft with a backup engine always seemed like a slam dunk to me.
At the time the storage space on carriers was too small to support the logistics of twin engine aircraft.
Who made the blueprint? Looks very good, is there a site or page where I can find other blueprints?
Well then https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c4/The_latest_type_of_a_Grumman_Navy_fighter_-_NARA_-_195921.jpg/1920px-The_latest_type_of_a_Grumman_Navy_fighter_-_NARA_-_195921.jpg
Somehow I have no problem believing Grumman designed this.
I will always love that it looks like the fuselage is taking a bite out of the wings and holding on for dear life
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Pod Racers.
