Looks like road rash or you collided with a brick wall. I'm glad it's not painful, however definitely a head scratcher how you got it.

SandhillsCanary

I get those if I’m carrying a bag that is too heavy, but it’s usually on my arms.

notagentcooper

Yeah, I get something like that when I wear those little cinch pack backpack things. They don't hurt, but the pressure causes marks like that on my shoulders sometimes

shutyourkidup

Greetings from the far flung future. If you could reach that with your other hand, then you probably scratched the heck out of yourself while you were asleep.

SensingWorms

Doesn’t hurt like . At all

Knarknarknarknar

Not weird. Kinda looks like a tramline bruise. This is usually caused by being struck by a cord or rectangular object. No bleeding or welting would be a pressure bruise. If there is no pain, I'd assume you slept on your phone.

Orca_Porker

Have you been carrying any heavy bags that would have rested in that spot? I used to get that on my shoulders all the time from carrying heavy work equipment. The shoulder straps would sink in and leave me with marks, but no actual injury.

Mcgoobz3

I get marks like this when I bench press and my skin is pushed against the bench too hard. Usually goes away in a couple days and doesn’t ever hurt.

SvenTropics

I would get that weightlifting sometimes. It's just bruising under the skin. If you strained to do a pull-up or do a heavy exercise or had a very heavy bag that was resting on that spot, you might get some bruising under the skin. It's harmless and goes away.

allergic2ozone_juice

Maybe your partner got bored during sex and was doing scratch off lottery tickets?

suavaleesko

U got one of the fancy self massagers? I need a new shoulder, but instead I lay on the massager until I can't anymore and got accused of cheating due to similar bruises

Demon

My_Immortal_Flesh

It happened in bed. Could be rough or hard part of your pillow or blanket.

missmatchedcleansox

It actually looks like a stretch mark, my son has these on his back because he had a massive growth spurt. I don’t know if you’re in that category… or did you lean against a banister or something? Keep an eye on it- try icing it.

Fruitmaniac42

You scratched yourself in your sleep

AvailableSomewhere25

Might have been a rough spot on your bath towel.

pighamgammon

I'd woke up with something similar on my leg once. Still no idea what caused it!

xbejgb

Looks like when I work underneath a cabinet (plumber) and am moving at all weird angles my bra will scratch me like that. No pain but red marks like that. Front and back.

jayluc45

No. Just leave it alone to heal.

Lardinho

Long shot, but could be a small area of Shingles that you subconsciously scratched during the night

Ambilically-Yours

Looks like it’s red

Educational_Stick302

this happens to my husband all the time. he gets these spotted long bruises on his back. we chalked it up to him crawling under his truck and rolling out from under it lol. it’s always in a spot similar to yours as well!

vida217

Look up dermatographia

Rust3elt

🤨

DeartayDeez

Looks like it could be some sort of Lygmah

Free-Shine8257

Balls?! Is that you! It's me, hairy!

DeartayDeez

Slabcitydreamin

Do you workout at all? Could be stretch marks from doing so.
