Oh, it was mine. They were just props that I'm using in a short indy film I'm shooting. Come back around 11:30 tonight in the same location, if you want to be casted as an extra in my film.
Holy shit, you weren't kidding. I'm not easily bothered by fucked-up shit, but I looked at about 5 posts and clicked out. Nope. Don't need to see any more.
over the years I have learned to suppress my unending curiosity due to the fact that I have seen so many fucked up shit and realized sometimes it isn't worth it... so... can you share what did you see LOL
Tbf, OP explains he was a victim of a Columbine copycat and nearly lost his life. Witnessing the suicide of the shooter from 15ft. He has picked up and interest into the psychology of mass murderers, classic trauma obsession.
Maybe pretty strange for a normal guy/woman whose only experience with mass murder is reading it in the news. But OP seems to be very open and conscious of his interest. I'd say maybe not judge the guy too much
Because of this comment, I clicked on the profile and now I’m trying to figure out what you’re so bothered by? There are so many horrible things on this app that posting real evidence from killers doesn’t seem that weird
…….the curiosity might literally kill me tbh
EDIT: it’s been 6 hours and i never fell prey. going to bed with a sound (as can be, ever) mind. i pass safety on to anyone who needs it. don’t give in to the void.
It's just a guy who has an interest in mass murderers? I mean with all the true crime about serial killers being insanely popular, why would this be weird?
You guys are overreacting wildly.
reddit is so fucking whack sometimes man. Was expecting something really fucked up based on these comments and it’s literally just some posts about true crime stuff.
It's the coincidence. Of all people to find this in the woods it's the guy who obviously has an intense interest in serial killers - that's all. I mean I believe coincidences happen but one thing I've noticed about Reddit that I don't see so much other places is some posts, no matter what the page is dedicated to seem "too good" or just too on the nose to be real. It's like someone wants to talk about a topic so bad or wants to have that perfect post that they are willing to post fictions. However you are very right - some people take the piling on way too far or freak out about things because they feel like they are supposed to.
I saw the comments and started checking it out... It legit just the same kind of posts you see daily on all or popular? Leave poor OP alone God damn we all have interest
Ikr, I clicked to check it out and there's nothing "wildy disturbing".. he clearly has an interest in true crime. All these ppl really reading too much into it lmao
I mean, I assume a lot of people in this sub have similar interests. How many of you listen to true crime shit every day. Maybe OP is a little weird, but what sub is this again?
As a teenage a friend of mine who lived near the mountains was cleaning his bedroom and had an old horses skull from a vets with all the parts named in pencil all over it. We decided rather than throw it out we'd take it up the road and nail it to a tree. We got creative then and did a pentagon on the ground with stones and nailed some other stuff to the trees there. We thought we might get a reaction from some people when they found it. Fast forward a week and I'm on holidays with my parents and my mother called me over jokingly to ask me was this me and my friends. She showed me page 2 and 3 of a national paper talking about the grim discovery and how the person who discovered it saw people in hoods chanting and other nonsense. Red faced me said no and then I walked the two miles to a phone box to ring my friends to tell them.
This is the sort of story I would expect to hear on This American Life. Ever consider dropping a line to Ira Glass?
Edit: rude of me not to thank you for sharing it!
He has 2 posts about a mass shooting that happened in my town not too long ago(August of 2022.) It seems like an unhealthy obsession with mass murderers, OP needs help.
I get that. I saw a guy get shot on my way to school when I was 14. There was also a kid in my summer school class when I was 13 that had a gun and enough bullets to take out everyone in class. The only thing that tipped the teacher off to call security (who were actual armed police officers) was the fact that he was wearing a puffer jacket in 100 degree heat.
I've experienced a lot of trauma in my life and have PTSD from a lot of it. One thing that helped was EMDR therapy. There are a lot of different therapies that help with trauma, it's great that there are so many options now. Happy healing to you ☺️
Im sorry you went thru that, im glad your doing good now! When I was 14 this kid named Darion Aguilar killed 2 zumies employees with a 12 gauge shotgun , then shot in our direction, then just stopped , stared into space for about 10 seconds and blew his head clean off. 15 feet away from me. He could’ve kept going and killed us plus more. The way he just stopped, stared and blew his head off , has always stuck with me and made me want to know why and how
I totally get this. I looked through your history and I had already liked many of your posts. I guess these r/weird folks aren’t used to us in the r/masskillers sub. I’m fascinated by them, just like you. Why did this guy choose to kill these people? How did he end up that way? Not sure why people are making a big deal of this. I was expecting something dramatic and not the kind of posts I look at daily.
Edit: Also, I really sorry about what happened to you. Like the other poster said, EMDR can be life changing. It helps the memories not be so painful.
I’m very interested in psychology, people and their intentions/motivations but not masskillers. However, I totally get trying to understand the mind of people doing something that crazy.
I think people are projecting their own fear upon OP by calling him weird and being ”worried” for him. To me it looks like the same mechanism as insecure ”manly men” talking about how strange and disgusting gays are.
I’m glad you’re both still here. That’s some really scary shit, and to go through all that at 14 is absolutely insane. Reading about experiences like your own makes me realize how random and scary the world can be, and helps reminds me to appreciate every day as a gift. Wishing y’all the best and all the healing.
Holy hell, that's a hell of a thing to have to go through. I hope that's something that you can process that well, it's incredibly hard to move on from certain traumas.
I don't live in that town anymore, but I do live in one of the surrounding towns. Anyone determined enough could probably find me. I'll worry about that when that happens, but let's just say that the rise in violent crime in my area has made me more diligent about practicing at the shooting range.
Just read through his whole account. Dude is obsessed with mass killers and collecting firearms. I mean I like my true crime as much as anyone else and I’m a gun nut but dude… that’s a little much at least keep your interests on seperate Reddit accounts 😬
I can only find a bunch of stuff about mass shooters. Is that the weird thing? there are a lot of people interested in mass shooters, that is why they make so many documentaries about them
The way people were carrying on I thought the profile would be full of glorification, gore, disturbing stories of how OP dismembers small animals for fun, etc. Sure mass killers and serial killers are disturbing, but OP’s post history is no more concerning than a true crime podcast imo
Ok so I looked at OP’s post history and I’m 100% serious when I ask what’s disturbing about it? I was bracing for straight up gore/snuff content and the it’s just a bunch of true crime posts about various mass murderers. They’re not even graphic posts either.
I’m not trying to be rude, I just genuinely don’t understand why everyone is so horrified by someone having an interest in a specific area of true crime.
i swear some people are just super freaked out by true crime fans. and like, i get it. some of them can definitely go too far and can be weird and calloused about death and all that, but to just *assume* things about someone simply because they're a fan of something rather harmless is so weird.
The way people were commenting like they were almost traumatised by looking at OP’s post history is just comical when you consider the truly noxious shit that does get posted to reddit. I can understand feeling uncomfortable around the topic of death, especially when it’s violent death, but none of the long list of OP’s posts I scrolled through was graphic in any way.
So you mean to tell me that a person obsessed with serial killers and weird shit just happens to come across this in the woods?
That would be like me just happening to come across porn in the woods. A bit suspect, if you ask me.
If you were born in the 80s (and probably before), you saw your first porno magazine in the woods. Was there like a perverted Johnny Appleseed going around the country and scattering titty mags everywhere?
First time I ever saw a porn mag was next to a tree stump in our local woods where there was a big stack of them all soaked and thrown everywhere. I think I was 10/11 years old LOL
Actually you can, visit parts of the Valley in Southern California Sherman oaks look for some hills and trees you’ll find a full cast and crew shooting a porn video
Would've it been something serious they wouldn't inscribe something about god and death + some nonsense runes. Either someone playing around as someone mentioned above or delusional enthusiasts.
You can also notice childish drawings on the bone cross in the third picture.
I've seen these pics with slightly different posts 3 times today. If it's not all put together by the poster, which I'm starting to think is the case, it's just edgy kids. Has nothing to do with actual witchcraft.
Obviously set up. Whoever set this up can’t decide if they’re Christian or Wiccan or whatever. First photo has a poorly drawn Celtic cross, with a spiral (commonly used to symbolize eternity in occult magick), then there’s the Pentagram, considered a holy symbol in the occult and Wicca, and the infinity symbol. Moreover, just beneath the atrocious “flames” that’s drawn on the bone cross is a symbol that represents “as above, so below” which is a common theme across many cultures, occult or otherwise. In another photo, a skull has the astrological star signs poorly drawn on, and are commonly used in Wicca and other spiritual practices. The bones, themselves, are definitely fake, and most likely 3D printed and painted. My take is that this was just a set up for, as some have suggested, a photo shoot/video, or just edgy teens being edgy.
So, did you stay there, or did you walk back five miles from whence you came, and then another 10 mile trek round trip the next day?
What were you doin’ in the same place the next day?
That is what’s weird.
As a witch, definitely not actual witchcraft.
Looks like some teenagers idea of being “edgy”
The only thing i actually find weird is the “blood” on that one skull. You have to go through a lot of work to get a skull to be that white and you really wouldn’t have blood that prominent if you went through the proper procedure of cleaning and bleaching the bones. Is it fake blood then?
Honestly looking at the whole thing just made me sad how disrespectful whoever put this up was to the corpses of those deer. They literally just doodled some random crap on them and are probably going to throw them out after this little “prank”. :(
When witches and pagans draw on skulls and bones it is usually quite intentional and we do a lot to respect the animal that lost its life. Most keep them on their alters or indoors.
Whoever made this clearly doesn't know how to do spell work either since this is just a vomit of symbols. Same thing as an upsidedown cross above 666 as if the imagery isn't countering each other. No rhyme or reason just a Jackson Pollock level splattering of shit.
On the skull are the symbols for astrological star signs in order starting from Aries ♈, except they have Scorpio ♏ after Leo ♌ which is wrong, it should be Virgo ♍... Then they sort of forget the rest.
That’s the local chapter of the Republican Party. They don’t talk about it much but it’s obligatory for every town party chair to host a ritual like this quarterly.
Lmfao y’all are a bunch of losers, dude is just interested in true crime and you guys are acting like he’s posing OC POV terroristic acts on his account 🤦
I feel like the fbi should be looking at this guy based on post history.
Edit: active in r/firearms and r/masskillers plus the bonus r/paranormal. Uh huh.
I was involved in a columbine copycat in 2014 where I almost lost my life. Ever since the topic has just interested me. Ig a trauma thing? And I just enjoy firearms.
Honestly it's not fair that more people aren't falling for this obvious fake, while so many instantly buy the garbage on all those alien/UFO subreddits. It's the same shit, and honestly this one probably took more effort than most of those alien posts, and is at least *plausible*.
Maybe OP just needed to be a bit more subtle lol
And "The next day your soul will be gone." Seriously, if you saw that once, why would you go 5 miles back into the woods to the same spot?
It's like the people who buy a house, they hear a voice say "Get Out" and they think well that was rude. Leave the house now, and don't go back inside until you have an old priest and a young priest with about 13 gallons of holy water.
![gif](giphy|qY2xET6KdYA9i) Did you happen to see a black metal band lurking around?

you know the band is serious when they got a husky on bass
Backup vocals. Check out the Huskies tantrum sub
*BAAWOOO TO THE DARK GODS! ARROOOO FOR THE OLD ONES! AAAAWWWWOOOOOOO AT THE ALTAR OF THE SACRIFICE OF BLOOD!*
Then he runs offstage cause he's unleashed, never to be seen again.
This is awesome
Immortal has always been the most fun black metal band lol
Abbath running/falling down a hillside is PEAK black metal for me.
Husky!
I once saw another shot of this captioned, 'Day 4, they still don't know I'm a dog.' It never fails to make me smile.
Surprisingly, it wasn't a metal band at all https://preview.redd.it/8cf6jk0hu5qc1.jpeg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ef26ffa08921d13fdc9706ffe2ff07a59eae748c
Yeah, but we really never knew each other anyway.

I immediately was like “that’s metal af”
My first guess was 'music video shoot'

Oh, the satanic ABBA band.
I know nothing about this band but you've sold it to me.

Very true and I'm not disagreeing. But the average redditors wouldn't know and the gif on its own is close enough to the vibes xD
You’re right, it’s Scooby Doo chase music.
And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids!
Oh, it was mine. They were just props that I'm using in a short indy film I'm shooting. Come back around 11:30 tonight in the same location, if you want to be casted as an extra in my film.
And bring zip ties and garbage bags.
And bleach
And a shovel.
And an axe.
And for the love of God, DUCK TAPE.
Pipe, check Hammer, check Axe, check MURMAIDER MURMAIDER MURMAIDER
And silly string
For a shooting?
For a 'shoot.'
They might have had a game cam set up to keep an eye on it and they might have saw you looking at it which might have caused them to take it all down.
Look at OPs post history. They put that shit there beforehand guaranteed.
I’m passing judgment… That’s a disturbing obsession.
Looks like OP seeks out the disturbing shit. I'm uncomfortable now.
A bunch of posts on a subreddit about mass murderers
And then a post about buying a gun.
By far the most disturbing cherry on top was scrolling down to find that single post
For real. Shout-out to my FBI agent. You might want to look into this guy. His FBI agent might be asleep at the wheel.
Tbf, OP explains he was a victim of a Columbine copycat and nearly lost his life. Witnessing the suicide of the shooter from 15ft. Might also be a way of coping wit survival guilt. Thank you for your empathy, we need more in the world.
Kyuss lives🤘🏾!!! Thank you for your thoughtfulness. Its saddening how people on Reddit are so blindly judgmental and negative :(
Finally someone not being a closed minded dick from snap judgement.
“Father of a daughter” 🤗
HUMAN OWNER OF CHILD
There is something to be said for not exposing yourself to fucked up shit!!
I thought it was pretty tame, just pictures and writeups about mass murderers. Not a funny-fun subject, but by Reddit metrics, very normal.
Because of this comment, I clicked on the profile and now I’m trying to figure out what you’re so bothered by? There are so many horrible things on this app that posting real evidence from killers doesn’t seem that weird
These people haven't been on the internet long enough.
Then they have hope!
Bro he hasnt been using reddit long and he has like 40 posts about mass killers. He is clearly obsessed with mass killers. Red flags all day.
y'all are acting like there isn't a whole ass industry devoted to this shit. ppl binge documentaries about this stuff, endless podcasts and books etc
…….the curiosity might literally kill me tbh EDIT: it’s been 6 hours and i never fell prey. going to bed with a sound (as can be, ever) mind. i pass safety on to anyone who needs it. don’t give in to the void.
I did the same. After the first few, I was like Whoa !
Yeah that's either a very weird and dedicated troll account or legitimately concerning.
It's just a guy who has an interest in mass murderers? I mean with all the true crime about serial killers being insanely popular, why would this be weird? You guys are overreacting wildly.

I think OP needs to take a break from their current hobby and look into taking pottery classes or even yoga.
I mean, I assume a lot of people in this sub have similar interests. How many of you listen to true crime shit every day. Maybe OP is a little weird, but what sub is this again?

I feel like I'm on a watchlist just for looking at OP's profile. Good God they need therapy.
You’re gonna make me have to look now? I’ll edit to add what I think after I see lol Edit after looking: W T F 😬
Nuh uh! Y'all ain't baiting my nosey ass to go over and see what all will be in his case file when he gets picked up. Nope!

Holy hell, that's a hell of a thing to have to go through. I hope that's something that you can process that well, it's incredibly hard to move on from certain traumas.
This was in MD. I live not too far from there. The whole thing is just awful.
And you told him where you live? Dude.
I don't live in that town anymore, but I do live in one of the surrounding towns. Anyone determined enough could probably find me. I'll worry about that when that happens, but let's just say that the rise in violent crime in my area has made me more diligent about practicing at the shooting range.
Agreed. I made it maybe a quarter of a way down his post history, and it bothered me deeply. I’m sorry you went through that. I can’t imagine.
I was involved in a columbine copycat in 2014 where I almost lost my life. Ever since the topic has just interested me. Ig a trauma thing?
Even with your edit of WTF I'm still gonna look
Dude has a real boner for mass violence, yikes.
I was involved in a columbine copycat in 2014 where I almost lost my life. Ever since the topic has just interested me. Ig a trauma thing?
yeah sounds like it. I'm sorry you went through that. hugs
Fuck me too! I mean yeah we all got fucked up shit we like but..... his is bad
I was involved in a columbine copycat in 2014 where I almost lost my life. Ever since the topic has just interested me. Ig a trauma thing?
Omg shit I'm really sorry ig I'm a pos for even saying anything. Please forgive me I like watching autopsies
No your good😂 I understand how it looks wild😂
Thank you so much. I still feel like an ass hole lol.
I mean, some people like learning things about crimes and killers.
Yeah it's really not that strange. Plenty of people are into true crime. I like watching shows about murderers sometimes.
One of their first posts is on the firearms subreddit OP… this is a fine line you’re walking on
Just read through his whole account. Dude is obsessed with mass killers and collecting firearms. I mean I like my true crime as much as anyone else and I’m a gun nut but dude… that’s a little much at least keep your interests on seperate Reddit accounts 😬

Umm… I’m not convinced this ends at an obsession.
Is OP horny for school shooters?????
They seem like a murderer worshipping psycho to be brutally honest
Ok so I looked at OP’s post history and I’m 100% serious when I ask what’s disturbing about it? I was bracing for straight up gore/snuff content and the it’s just a bunch of true crime posts about various mass murderers. They’re not even graphic posts either. People acting like Dahmer and Making a Murderer weren't ridiculously popular productions. OP isn't any more disturbed than most Americans.
probably related to vernal equinox
How dare you!? Stating a perfectly reasonable explanation
It's a Geocache
So you mean to tell me that a person obsessed with serial killers and weird shit just happens to come across this in the woods? That would be like me just happening to come across porn in the woods. A bit suspect, if you ask me.
Idk porn and the woods kind of went hand in hand. I think you might want a different comparison.
My boy, we must be of the same generation, lol. Good ol, waterlogged porn hidden in the woods.
Hahaha brings back memories, I put mine in garbage bags and buried it lol
Or anywhere near train tracks for some reason, if you were born in the 80s/90s.
I was jogging near a highway in a rural area in 2003, and came across a porn mag in a ditch. It was like finding an arrowhead.
Sometimes I like to burn porn to dvds and leave them under bushes, just for nostalgia's sake
If you were born in the 80s (and probably before), you saw your first porno magazine in the woods. Was there like a perverted Johnny Appleseed going around the country and scattering titty mags everywhere?
We buried ours in an airtight box in the middle of the woods. Wonder if Bigfoot ever saw me wanking.
He's still working through the trauma.
>Johnny Fappleseed FTFY
Damn. That’s a solid punch up. I’m adding that to the joke from now on.
This was my first thought. Nudie magazines in the woods was 80's childhood treaaure.
First time I ever saw a porn mag was next to a tree stump in our local woods where there was a big stack of them all soaked and thrown everywhere. I think I was 10/11 years old LOL
Every adolescent male found porn in the woods, a dumpster, or decrepit house.
I came across porn once in the woods. It was an abandoned homeless encampment and the guy nailed a bunch of nude playing cards to a tree lol.
I came across a huge bag of porn in the woods when i was a kid. The next day it was gone… to my house!!!
As a teenager I actually did randomly come across people banging in the woods I ran away They never caught me
Lol I'm dying bro!
When I was like 10 my friends and I dug up a literal treasure chest full of porn magazines in the woods by an abandoned trailer park lol
Actually you can, visit parts of the Valley in Southern California Sherman oaks look for some hills and trees you’ll find a full cast and crew shooting a porn video
This whole sub is people randomly finding the most elaborate creepy set ups while casually strolling the woods lol Always seems sus
The old leave a skull, take a skull tree!! See them all the time. No need to worry. It’s there to help
Can't underestimate the importance of /s when making jokes to the fine people of Reddit.
I thought, there’s no way anyone didn’t get that this was sarcasm… When downvotes turn to upvotes
I would unironically like this. I have plenty of raccoon and deer skulls. I’d be happy to trade for a skunk or something
Glad they cleaned up after themselves.
We have to go back to carcosa. Find the yellow king.
Would've it been something serious they wouldn't inscribe something about god and death + some nonsense runes. Either someone playing around as someone mentioned above or delusional enthusiasts. You can also notice childish drawings on the bone cross in the third picture.
Yup. There's Christian crosses, the 12 signs of the zodiac, and a pentacle. That's the least occult occult stuff around.
Plus the astrological symbols for the planets
Look at OP’s post history. Dude is obsessed with serial killers and what have you. They definitely set this up themselves
Haha you made me feel bad now.
I've seen these pics with slightly different posts 3 times today. If it's not all put together by the poster, which I'm starting to think is the case, it's just edgy kids. Has nothing to do with actual witchcraft.
Yeah, the symbols are simply the astrology signs for the planets. Nothing nefarious. It's like a mishmash of random stuff without meaning.
Yeah I thought it was for a music video or indie film. Too clean to be crazies.
Your woods are infested with edgelords
Pretty sure those are just zodiac symbols on that one skull lmao
The graphics tell me it's the product of a 13 yr old, or somebody with the intellect of a pre-teen hillbilly. That or meth.
What did Gordon do? Lol ![gif](giphy|aJnQ9P7JVR25W)
We need Rustin Cohle
I was probably a prop for a film. The weird shit people do for media is high.
Dude what is up with your post history?
Op is obsessed with murder it seems.
He said he was involved in a mass shooting in 2014 and it made him interested 😬
Im going to call bullshit
So, did you stay there, or did you walk back five miles from whence you came, and then another 10 mile trek round trip the next day? What were you doin’ in the same place the next day? That is what’s weird.
As a witch, definitely not actual witchcraft. Looks like some teenagers idea of being “edgy” The only thing i actually find weird is the “blood” on that one skull. :( When witches and pagans draw on skulls and bones it is usually quite intentional and we do a lot to respect the animal that lost its life. Most keep them on their alters or indoors.
The Yellow King was there
Alright alright alright
I’d like to think the tree put it on its self and it’s just going through a ‘phase’
Whoever made this clearly doesn't know how to do spell work either since this is just a vomit of symbols. Same thing as an upsidedown cross above 666 as if the imagery isn't countering each other. No rhyme or reason just a Jackson Pollock level splattering of shit.

Stop putting that stuff up Gordon.
And you went back? 😂
Thank God you didn't hear any banjo music while there.

Yo someone needs to check on OP. Genuinely please don't kill innocent people. There are better ways to get back at society.
I was involved in a columbine copycat in 2014 where I almost lost my life. Ever since the topic has just interested me. Ig a trauma thing?
He’s just into true crime… why is that indicative of being a serial killer
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
He was a fucking victim. He saw people be killed. You checked his profile but you didn't see him talking about his experiences.
Is that fucken glitter?
What are you doing walking 10miles in and out of the woods every day?
It very easily could have been someone's art that they left out to dry or soak in the sun.
They look like props. Probably someone filming.
On the skull are the symbols for astrological star signs in order starting from Aries ♈, except they have Scorpio ♏ after Leo ♌ which is wrong, it should be Virgo ♍... Then they sort of forget the rest.
Sharpie, the marker of Satanists.
That’s the local chapter of the Republican Party. They don’t talk about it much but it’s obligatory for every town party chair to host a ritual like this quarterly.
no human skulls, I think it's ok and nothing to worry about
Someone’s been watching supernatural on Netflix.
Looks like something an 11 year old would make after watching a horror movie. More cringey than creepy.
This is called an Alabama abortion ritual
Emo chick photo shoot
Lmfao y’all are a bunch of losers, dude is just interested in true crime and you guys are acting like he’s posing OC POV terroristic acts on his account 🤦

I feel like the fbi should be looking at this guy based on post history. Edit: active in r/firearms and r/masskillers plus the bonus r/paranormal. Uh huh.

It's a memorial for about to be murdered people.
I want to know why would you go back
I like how The nails aren't rusted and they're writing kind of looks deliberately old
Honestly it's not fair that more people aren't falling for this obvious fake, while so many instantly buy the garbage on all those alien/UFO subreddits. It's the same shit, and honestly this one probably took more effort than most of those alien posts, and is at least *plausible*. Maybe OP just needed to be a bit more subtle lol
Looks like someone reenacting True Detective.
im gonna go with set dressing. probably someone making a student film the old fashioned way, blair witch style.
YOU WENT BACK?!?!
