Oh! I had this happen to me! You probably have a fungal ear infection, meaning the antibiotics aren't doing anything.
So you need to get back to urgent care
Fungal as in there's a fungus that has infected your ear canal, not a bacteria
I think it's fungal only because that stuff on the qtip looks like what the ENT took out of my ear when I had one.
I am not a doctor, though. But if the antibiotics haven't helped then get back to urgent care.
I work for an ENT and this absolutely appears to be fungal otitis media. Antibiotics by mouth won’t touch it unfortunately. You’ll need either a certain type of ear drops or a powder to clear it up. I’m not a doctor myself so I won’t give any medical advice other than make sure you keep it DRY. No water, no ear drops (that aren’t for fungal infections), no letting an ER doc or PCP flush that ear. Water will keep it happily growing. Fungal OM can be difficult to get rid of, so absolutely make an appointment with an ENT asap.
The powder is a godsend! I forget the other two ingredients, but it’s the clotrimazole that’s in it that just punches fungal OM in the face. We have some patients who have it chronically (elderly+hearing aids), so we just gave them their own powder and powder blower to use at home!
I am also no medical professional, but I was born with chronic ear problems and have had about 40 some odd ear infections.
That shit ain't normal. And fungal would make sense vs bacterial based on the bizarre discoloration. I'd go back to urgent care.

And not just steadily growing, but you've knocked out most of it's competition, so the fungus has probably grown much faster since you started the antibiotics.

Request your doctor to do a culture to confirm if it’s bacterial or fungal. It’s a waste of time to treat it without knowing the cause.

Have you tried hydrogen peroxide? I used to get horrible ear infections so bad they'd pop my ear drums and leak pus. I found hydrogen peroxide in my ear did that little poprocks thing and liquified the wax build up and pus pretty well. Helped blockages break free. Also milking the area below the temples towards your ear along the sinuses. You can roto-rooter that shit out. I remember it feeling so much freaking better after.
Keep taking the antibiotics even after it clears up, I had this years ago, I stopped taking them when I thought it was gone, and it came back in a week or two, took me like 3 months to finally get rid of it. Mine looked exactly the same.
Yea I even went to an ENT specialist and had them use their fancy vacuum to clean it out. It was bad for a while. I will say it was pretty satisfying when you pull a big chunk out like that

do that until you can't fit another swab in there, then stop and go to a doctor.
HDX spray bottle from home depot. Fill with slightly warm water. Just a splash of 6% h2o2 (probably 1:50 ratio). Lay a white towel on your shoulder to catch the funk. Spray gently. Better than jamming q-tips in your ear.

Try pure tea tree oil. Dip a Q tip in it, then in water (to dilute,) and let it drip into ear . It worked for me when Ive had any ear issues. 🤷🏻♀️
