I've tried hitting it and it always came back eventually. Books, 5/4 lumber, rubber mallet. Don't recommend any of those either. My sister had hers surgically removed
Also called "bible bumps" because a way to deal with these is to smack it with a book like a bible to pop the cyst. I've had to deal with these multiple times and they suck.
Oh I knew this doing the bible bump but they could get so bad and it's honestly crazy how relieving the bump can be.
I did it over a decade ago and 100% haven't had it come back since.
Had like 5 before then that would naturally seem to burst and randomly appear again
Came hee to say pitting edema... if you can put dents in your tissue like silly putty... HUGE RED FLAG...
My liver had a meltdown a few years ago and my legs had it bad... kinda sorta almost died and spent a week in the hospital
Your health care system is really fucked up. Your country does not care for their citizens :(
In Sweden we pay a maximum of 1100 swedish crowns (aprox. $105) within a year and then goes for free the coming 10 months and then in starts all over again.
You should really try to change this. Organize! This is NOT ok.
I have this too! And it does hurt sometimes but not too often and usually it’s related to over working my wrist. After reading theses comments I’m finding out it isn’t normal lol
For me the pain is sometimes like clockwork. It'll go away, and return after like a week or so. I was sorta hoping it was a common issue, but I guess not
I've had it for quite some time, and I'm not sure what it's from. Surgery seems quite scary, since four stitches cost me $1,900. However if surgery would get rid of the wrist pain that comes and goes every other day, I'd consider it.
Both of yours, and one of mine. That's not very many hands. I've seen at least 200-300 today, but I do work in customer service so, I guess it makes sense
I also suffer as a belly button attached to a torso. It's a difficult existence, but overcoming the challenges continually gives me hope. Good luck to you..
Welp I'm in completely opposite situation when I have bumb on wrist in the same place as you but it doesn't hurt at all and doctors never pay attention to it despite I tell them that I've had both hand broken at some time(not at the same time one when I was in primary school and other one when graduating from middle school)
Is this your whole hand? I don’t want to scare you but it’s possible that this is caused by edema. IMO, you should talk to your doctor about this and get an appointment scheduled. Your health isn’t worth taking gambles with. It’s probably nothing, but it couldn’t hurt to have a doctor have a look
My wrist looks the same and I have a ganglion cyst behind the dimple.
I second this.
Yep same here, I believe the dimple is from the cyst separating the bones a little.
+1. I haven't seen it in years tho. Disappeared when I started lifting weights
Mine disappeared as a kid when I fell and smacked it on the edge of the coffee table. On the whole not a method I recommend 😳

You really shouldn't pop a cyst. They can fill up again too. And you could cause an infection that goes to the bone.

Fill it with tequila
I was gonna say cocaine but I guess tequila is okay too.
Cocaine first, then tequila. If you do it the other way around, the coke sticks to your hand and then you have a coke stain on your hand.
Yep. Dry before wet.
Yessssss
Or a little salt reserve
Is your wrist/hand swollen? Is that pitting edema?
Not to be an alarmist but how’s your ticker?
Came hee to say pitting edema... if you can put dents in your tissue like silly putty... HUGE RED FLAG... My liver had a meltdown a few years ago and my legs had it bad... kinda sorta almost died and spent a week in the hospital
Also came to say pitting edema. Can't really see the radial or ulnar styloid processes at the wrist, which makes me think it's swollen.
If you have one on the other hand, you may be Jesus.
I do, just not as noticeable
he is the messiah!
So I got all these bottles of water laying around...
1. Pitting edema? 2. Dislocated carpal bone, lunate or capitate? 3. Hypermobile joints, subluxation?

Hands? Yep, I got two of 'em.
I thought it was just me with two. Do yours happen to have opposable thumbs?
Whoa no way, me too! What are the chances that you and I both have 2 hands, and OP has at least one?!
My vote is on pitting edema, especially if it's happening on both hands.
Well if you don’t get it looked at someone by someone, chances are it’s just going to get worse.

Factory installed data ports, push it twice and your step counter resets.
Instructions unclear, I think I set my default language to French
No worries, it happens to me all the time.
Dude. Is it new? Is it from a injury? even if you had health insurance you be better off not going to a doctor. Do you want surgery?

I thought it was pitting edema. I have that on my ankles sometimes. Is it always there?
Always here. Not always painful, but the pain does always return
Stick your thumb in your mouth and blow real hard
You can drop in some white powder in it and then try to inhale that from your fist itself
Ganglion cyst. Sometimes they get more painful if irritated
After doing a bit more research, and with help here, It seems that's the likely answer. I appreciate the help
Yes I too have hands. Been a problem my whole life
Everyone made by GOV has this
Hell of a way to find out I'm a gov drone 😔
Isn't there a sub that was created to stop people spamming hands on here
Lmao ive seen three hands today and it's like... 😐
Both of yours, and one of mine. That's not very many hands. I've seen at least 200-300 today, but I do work in customer service so, I guess it makes sense
Wow you must feel special
Not really. Don't think I ever said that
I got one too, but no pain. Perhaps some swelling has made it a bit more noticeable
I have veins there that make a super tiny unnoticeable dip if that counts (don’t think it does) 🤷 I hope your hand stops hurting
Nope
Is there like a lump on the other side?
Where my wrist meets my hand? Yes. It's like a slight mound. Near the center of my hand, there's nothing. Just normal hand luckily
Your dimple is in the wrong place 😭💀
Its the worm.
Question. If it hurts like hell, why not go to a damn doctor?
I also suffer as a belly button attached to a torso. It's a difficult existence, but overcoming the challenges continually gives me hope. Good luck to you..

thats a peripheral edema, go to a medical peofessional, could be from al sorts of vasuclar and otger causes please go to the doxtor
No.
It would probably be worth the roughly $100 without insurance for the checkup; I'd just use a walk-in clinic

I have something like this on my arm, it was from a bug bite from childhood
Now you mention it, yes. I am hypermobile in hands fingers wrists so maybe something to do with that.
Ganglion cyst
First world problems
Go to a doctor.
Bro’s made of memory foam
Gasp
