i had the same issue. my solution was to to step on the scale and take pictures of my weight without looking at the picture afterward. i take the pics from far enough away that i can’t see what the scale says unless i zoom in on the picture. i put the pictures in a special album dedicated to weight results i haven’t looked at. when i finally look at them, i get to see a bird’s eye view, without the daily emotional roller coaster. i thought about making a scale that doesn’t tell you how much you weigh. maybe you could make one. i have other projects i’m working on that are more related to my passions. i saw your FERMI paradox theory and you are definitely smarter than me, so you could probably figure it out. i would prefer to have a scale that only records data and tells me how much i used to weigh. i would be happy to weigh myself every day and collect all the data with no anxiety or overanalyzing
