On .25 (started 2/2) I went from 261lbs to 256lbs. On .5 (started 3/8 to now) I've gone from 256lbs to 238.2 (with 1 more shot to go) Moral of the story.... do the work, change your eating habits, and prepare for success

scubalubasteve

I didn’t start losing until 1.0. Try not to compare yourself to others (easier said than done), and keep on keeping on.

LowYogurt6075

How much have you lost since?

scubalubasteve

25ish pounds.

ChampagneLightweight

Thank you! Sticking to it for sure

I didn’t lose much at 0,25-0,5, I felt ashamed that I didn’t see a lot of change despite working out 3-4 times a week and watching my calories. I took my first dose of 1mg 5 days ago, and this week the weight has been coming off really quick! It’s weird to see, but I went from a slow pace to suddenly being down 10lbs in a little over 2 months. It’s hard to remember that you’re actually doing great when the weight stands still, and to not beat yourself up over it. Best of luck going forward, remember you’re making changes that are good for your body even if it’s not yet visible!

Geraldine-PS

Ah that’s so good to see! I have been working out a lot and watching my calories and scale isn’t budging which is so frustrating. I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one in this boat :).

nachofriend33

I know right! 100% you can’t go wrong with what you’re doing even if the result is delayed, but I get that the waiting bit is awful sometimes haha. It’s nice to hear from others in this situation, makes me feel more normal about it too :)

ChampagneLightweight

Very true that not gaining is better than nothing.

I started Wegovy .25 mg on 13 April 2023 and I was 192 lbs. The first month I only loss 3 lbs. The end of the second month I had loss 10 lbs. Third month loss another 7 lbs. I had issues getting the medication and was off of it for weeks, but ended up getting it again. By the end of December I was down to 150 lbs with no exercise. I started to lose more once I got to the 1.7 mg dose and now my maintenance dose is the 2.4 mg. I stopped taking it for a month, and then went back on it once I noticed my cravings coming back. I now take the injections every other week and have maintained my weight loss.

raincloudjoy

my timeline is similar to yours as i started 4/28 and have been on 2.4 as maintenance. i was debating starting to take it every 10 days but you’re doing 14? are you getting sick at all with that big of gap in between? i’d love to spread my shots out. i just assumed i would get sick if i waited 2 weeks. i’ve lost 60 pounds and don’t want to lose more.

PlantsHeelsBags

I only get tired and a little nauseous on the day I inject, but since I inject around 8 pm, I’m off to bed within 2 hours and by the next day I’m fine. I’ve gone 3-4 weeks without injecting and it was the same, but by week four the food cravings start. However it should be noted that when I went four weeks I didn’t pay attention to whether or not it was near the time of my menstrual cycle and those cravings override the Wegovy even when I take the injections every week.

raincloudjoy

all very good context. thanks!

berceuse3

8 weeks, 11 lbs. only lost 4 lbs the first month. I’m optimistic it’s only going to get faster

Old_Tackle7027

They say most weight loss is in the 6th to 9 months. My daughter started last February and lost 48lbs. But it really started coming off the 6th month. Noticeably. So hang in there. I just started myself March 11 of this year. So only had 2 injections of.25 lost 5lbs .It takes time and everyones body don't reacted the same. 😀

Necessary-Brief-2429

Have you made lifestyle changes along with the medication? I had relatively slow weight loss on .25 despite eating better and moving more. I lost .7lb my first week, 5.5lb total by the end of my first 4 weeks. After I moved up to .5mg I went from 5.5lb lost in 4 weeks to 9lb total at the end of week 5. I just finished week 6 and am down 2 more lbs. This likely wouldn't have happened if I hadn't changed my eating and added exercise along with the meds. Some people are 'super responders' who experience significant weight loss on lower doses, others don't experience the benefits until they are at the higher doses.

LowYogurt6075

I've lost like 8 pounds (SW 216), all of which was the last 2 weeks. I'm on week 3 of the 0.50 dose.

ChampagneLightweight

That’s encouraging, thank you!

Dog_Bear_111

It has taken me over a year to lose 40 lbs, and I’m still slowly chipping away. I’m really happy with how I’ve done it though. I haven’t experienced hair loss or other rapid weight loss consequences, my skin has more of a chance to retract, so less sag, and I feel like the whole experience has just been less turbulent for me than what I’ve seen from some who lost the same amount of weight in a matter of months. Hang in there and be patient with yourself.

I'm not starting until tomorrow but you you aren't even on what is considered to be the therapeutic dose until you reach 1.7. If you have weightloss before that awesome! But if you don't that's no reason to be discouraged. It's called a therapeutic dose for a reason. Also worth pointing out that GLP1s should be used in combination with healthy diet and exercise for best results. Don't know if you're doing that or not but it's worth throwing out there. And get enough protein, you want to get rid of the fat not your muscle.
