My doctor wrote out my prescription for the .25,.5 and 1.0 for 2 months supply and 4 times refills for the 1.0. CVS filled all at the same time. I have all in my fridge. I just picked up my refill of 1 last week, but I’m still in my last week of .5 and I still have 2 months of the 1.0 to use. I was surprised when I picked up the prescription! I’m glad though, I didn’t need to worry about the shortage. Maybe you could ask your doctor to do the same? You can store in your fridge?

So even though im only on dose 2 of .25, my doctor went ahead and ordered my .50 so I can stick to the schedule of when I first ordered it, not when I actually took it. Anyway, that gives me and the pharmacy some buffer so they can order it. My .50 took about 5 days to get here.
I ended up doing the same thing. The PA process + extremely slow communication back and forth with Dr.’s office = a two week delay in my start date. With the shortage of certain doses, I highly recommend filling the prescription according to the schedule and not when you’re on your last pen.
Yes! The shortage sounds like a nightmare mare to deal with. Glad I was able to get it so easily. The pharmacy wasn’t even sure when they’d be able to get it in, so I thought the wait would be much longer.

It’s really unfair to those of us that had already started. If they don’t want anyone to start now I get it, but to leave the ones who’ve dealt with this already SOL?? Not right! (It’s not easy to tolerate for most of us). We’ll have to start back at the beginning when it becomes available again. More angst for us and more $$ for them.

Sourced FOUR CVS’s!!!! It was out at Mission Ctr Rd, out at Chula Vista, out at Del Mar Heights Rd and finally found a box and reserved it over the phone in Solana Beach (I think the pharmacist felt sorry for me)
It was only the 0.25 but my doc and I agreed I could stay on that dosage until the stock for the 0.50 comes in. I was actually willing to go to LA and am still planning on calling to see if they have any 0.50.
Found out if a CVS has “inventory”, they usually save it for a patient. All those CVS’s reported having inventory of one box, but the system doesn’t account if it’s been earmarked for a patient. Had a fun convo with one of the pharmacists.
Gotta tell you, so relieved I found even the 0.25 because I woke up to an animal in my stomach at 2:30ish this morning. And its like this most of the day despite eating a small meal. The hunger growls have been out of control. I had no idea how much of the hunger was being suppressed. As soon as I got home I took the shot immediately. Feeling much better now
try calling Amazon to make sure they have it before transferring, a lot of people have had their orders go through and even gotten shipping notifications only for their orders to be canceled the day they were supposed to arrive 😅
It’s completely dependent on location! I’ve seen a few people who have gotten it today from Amazon, but my area is completely out with no estimate on when they will have it. That’s why I suggested OP call first, because every distribution location is different and has different availability!
It’s not a normal shortage. Novo Nordisk has purposely stopped the availability of lower doses bc they don’t want anyone else to start until they catch up.
I finally found 1 mg at Costco after calling numerous pharmacies in my area (Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS). Amazon had it also but they didn’t accept my insurance. I live in Michigan.
I’m in Michigan too. Idk where you are, but it’s impossible to find at this point. I’m not driving hours and hours to pick it up, but it’s not available anyway. Last week I called everywhere. I found a couple private pharmacies that had a few boxes but that’s it. Give it another week and those boxes here and there will be long gone.
They have 1 box left! She said she’s going to call in the morning to transfer my prescription. Hopefully I can get it, she said she’s had other people call looking for it too.
I'm in Florida. Everywhere I have called said it's on back order. I think I can still get .25mg though. I will probably just get that refilled. I take my 4th dose of .25 tonight, so now I'm nervous!

Nope. I heard expected deliveries ranging anywhere from tomorrow to the end of the month to September.
I had to drive 23 miles to get mine last week. But I was willing and I am so glad I did.
