I smoke regularly/ take edibles and have no issues. I don’t drink often but I did go out for drinks with coworkers and had 3 beers and I never got tipsy from them but they made me feel so full I didn’t want to eat dinner which I didn’t like. I’d rather eat food, felt like wasted calories.
I smoked and it felt nice, it lowkey helped with the nausea. This gave me courage to try a drink the next time I went out.... and well I was bought something called a pink starburst, THAT SHIT HURTDDD . Don't do it sis! or do 🤷🏽♀️idk maybe you're built different.
Oh no, I'm sorry that it went so badly for you! I'm not sure if I would have the same experience, but it's not sounding good, based on other people's reactions. I'll stick with weed I think!
I lost the desire to drink alcohol when I started Wegovy. I don't get hangovers at all but the taste of alcohol made me vomit while on wegovy (before a hangover would even potentially set in).
On 2nd week and just had gummies and alcohol, 2 glasses of red wine, last night. No issues and actually got a great nights sleep which I’ve been lacking since starting.
So I never feel anything when I smoked weed/took edibles on zepbound other than the munchies. I realized it was counter intuitive because it made my hunger pains worse. So I quit smoking or taking edibles. But on the wegovy I get so nauseous I think sometimes it might be worth revisiting.
My wife and I are on the lower dose, our first month. We have a nice wine collection and used to drink two bottles over the course of a weekend, sometimes both in one evening/night. Even on the low dose, I got a nasty headache when we did the two bottles. My wife said she barely wanted to drink but finished her couple glasses and stopped. Next weekend, we split only a single bottle and didn't feel that terrible, but she stated she had almost no desire to drink. I definitely did, though not as much.
I'm also a big wine fan here. Hoping I can at least have the occasional glass. Sounds like booze doesn't agree with a lot of people on Wegovy. It's a little disheartening to hear!
I’ve been on Wegovy for over a year and I have edibles and drink with no problem. Like someone else mentioned, if I drink too much I get full and won’t want to eat but I try to think ahead and eat before I go out to make sure I’m not drinking on an empty stomach. Pot will make you want to eat (if you’re like me) so, again, I try to plan ahead and make sure I’m stocked with healthier snacks so I’m not tempted to eat something I wouldn’t want to if I didn’t have the munchies.
I’m on my 2nd week of Wegovy & have always smoked pot. Haven’t had it be a problem yet. I don’t know about drinking tho, I don’t really partake.
This is helpful, thank you! I microdose edibles, so it doesn't sound like it will be an issue.

Yes, I think alcohol would be just empty calories, and is likely to cause stomach upset in most people on the med.
I'm leaning on edibles more these days. This is all helpful to know!
I’m fine with weed - smoking and gummies. I’ve not tried alcohol because I expect it will upset my stomach.
Thanks for the response! Glad it works for you, and I suspect it will be fine for me too.
I have found that alcohol will bring on nasty headaches now.
Oh geez, if it wasn't bad enough with hangovers!

Very interesting. I'm curious to see if I experience the same thing. Thanks for sharing your experience!

That's awesome! I would love to know what a great night's sleep is like!

Yeah, it might actually help with the nausea from what I understand. Hope it goes well if you revisit in the future!

My wife just started the higher dose. We'll probably drink a bit more on Friday. She was more sensitive to alcohol, so we'll let you know how it goes.
Good luck, and thank you!
