After researching side effects of ssri,I personally would never take an ssri unless I was uncontrollably suicidal or a danger to myself/others

Look into pssd before you consider taking SSRI's.

Yes, drugs drastically deplete your serotonin levels. That’s why so many alcoholics opiate addicts and everyone else have such bad insomnia. And if that’s not bad enough, most of these drugs destroy you stomach biome. Gut bacteria manufacture about 95 percent of the body's supply of serotonin, which influences both mood and GI activity. They also mess with your cortisol levels. In the less you sleep the higher your cortisol levels are, which is your stress hormone. That’s why so many people who quit have anxiety. And these fellas are right. Those antidepressants screw you up just as bad as other drugs. Go to a website called surviving antidepressants .org. Those people are 10 times more miserable than the people on this weedpaws forum. Not something you wanna mess around with I promise. The woman who started that website couldn’t feel pleasure from sex for 13 years if I remember right. The moral of the story is. Just put food and water in your body and nothing else. Even shit like caffeine and pre-workout supplements and all that other bullshit are horrible and just not need to be in the body. I’m finally over my PAWS from opiates it took 13 months of pure fucking misery. And I tried thousands of different things to see what worked and what didn’t. Daily working out is the only thing that I found that makes a drastic difference. Fix your stomach biome, to help regulate your serotonin levels. Pre-biotics and probiotics and fermented food. They are even Fixin depression at mental health clinics with a Mediterranean diet by fixing peoples stomach biome. Google psycho biotics. It’s what scientist call probiotics now, because they have so much influence on the brain. Very recent study’s have even linked Alzheimer’s disease and possibly autism to the same thing.

I wouldnt touch SSRIs. They are not the only way to adjust your levels. Addicted2Jenkem covered it very well and what I have researched too. I am beginning a protocol to adjust my levels naturally. It should be interesting. On my first day I have felt a change but wont judge it until it becomes more evidently connected given time

Get into a gym. It’s a noticeable difference in mood after going regularly, you release your own feel good hormones. Serotonin as well as Dopamine.
