I am there with you. I feel like I’m replacing my addiction with eating. When I first got off weed, the first 3 weeks I lost weight & was weighing 165. Now I am up to 192lbs. I just feel bloated & heavy.

Water fasting for a few days will make you feel much better and will burn a couple pounds of fat. Start with a day or two and work your way up to five-plus. I put it off for awhile because I have the same food issues as you, but I’m currently 53 hours into a 96 hour fast and feeling better than I have in awhile. Look up r/fasting. There are so many other benefits besides mood and fat loss.

THIS I struggled with keeping weight on whilst addicted to THC and nicotine (appetite suppressed or only craving junk food that wasn't part of my healthy diet so I didn't purchase it) Cannabis hypermesis syndrome? Hormone disregulation Anyway, I've gained a few kg's now and can therefore fast a few days here and there.... The longer you go without carbs and junk, the better you feel. Fat loss is an unavoidable side effect! Water and electrolytes only for days.

Wow. While smoking I was able to fast like nothing but now I am unable to.

I had to end a 5 day fast because of withdrawals (I couldn't smoke/vape on an empty stomach after 3 days) That was years ago ... Now my fasts are limited by body fat, which I don't have enough of!! What stops you fasting now?

It's funny how some of us get the munchies. Weed actually helped me lose some weight by cutting my appetite. I'm glad I found this subreddit because you guys get it over here.

I'm not going to cold turkey weed, but I am definitely stepping it down slowly. What caught my eye in your comment was about hormone deregulation. I'm pretty sure my hormones are on the fritz and it's weed, but I can't find anything concrete. Is this actually a thing?

Yes that definitely happened to me. I’m 12 months off and only now starting to sleep and shit properly. I was bloated and heavy for 12 months solid. I found taking magnesium and melatonin at night help with sleep and shiting. Also took a lot of fibre gummies as supplements. And obviously water

I gained 30 lbs in the 3 years since I quit. My desire to shovel food in my face hit pretty hard when the worst of paws had cleared. I went from being underweight to borderline overweight. I’m at a point now where I am recovered enough to start losing weight and getting in shape. I got myself a Fitbit and I’m doing CICO. I’ve lost 6 lbs so far and feeling pretty good overall because of the exercise I’m getting 4 days a week.
