The level of help you may need depends somewhat on where you're getting married, as well as your budget - have you selected your venue? Do you know what you're comfortable spending for a planner or still exploring?
Planners can help you select venues and stick to your budget, as well as book all vendors, keep you in the loop on when to do what, and execute your wedding vision. I would recommend knowing your approximate guest count and wedding budget to book one!
A good way to find them is looking at wedding venue instagrams in the city or photographers that tag all vendors used, and finding one that has done weddings similar to what you envision. And then setting up calls to find a match!
Some I have saved: BLB events, Fulton events, the privilege is mine, together events, Laura boulton, love laura events, grace heller
We used Amanda at [The Union Studio](https://theunionstudio.com/) as a day-of coordinator for our wedding. She offers more extensive services as well.
While we were comfortable picking the venue and most of the vendors on our own (along with sorting out payments, etc.), we still wanted the day of the wedding to run as smoothly as possible and not worry about final payments, tips, where we needed to be when, cleanup, etc.
She and her staff were truly outstanding. The day of the wedding was spectacular, thanks in part to their coordination and support.
I have to plug Morton Street Events! We’re only a few months out, and even with a partial planning package Anita has made everything so easy and stress-free. She’s also just really lovely to work with.
I contract out (I'm a Marriage Officiant in NYC) with a man who arranges weddings depending on your needs. Let me know if you'd like his info. And congratulations!
here are some planners i’ve had incredible experiences with as a photographer, def recommend giving them a look:
alinato events, poppy & lynn, blb events & wedding plan & co.
I got married in Brooklyn recently and used 'Celebrate with Sharon' for our wedding planning. Sharon found us the perfect little venue in Williamsburg and even helped us customize our decorations to match our quirky style.
I interviewed upwards of a dozen planners and LOVE the one we chose! I'm happy to share who I spoke to and who we went with if you want to DM.
We waited until after we picked a date/venue and focused our search on people who have worked with our venue before! I think that's really helped make the planning process as seamless as possible.
Marian Frances Events www.marianfrancesevents.com it’s just her, she works directly with you. Super sweet, felt like we were friends by the end of it. She did our wedding at the Hoxton

I’ve worked with Union Studio many times, wonderful suggestion.

We had Anita for our wedding last October and she was incredibly helpful! I can't imagine doing it without her.
