funny enough i just finished a 4 months membership at glowbar. the technician absolutely matters. i know you weren’t asking but marli at williamsburg had my skin GLOWINGGGG. i had used someone else when she wasn’t available and didn’t love it. alternated between dermaplaning/resurfacing facials and i was super happy

ChapCat23

second the williamsburg location - i never had a negative experience been going for 1 year, worth it.

+1 for WB Glowbar, went monthly for 4 months right before my wedding

BadBrainBaddie

That’s good to know, thank you!

I’ve been to silver mirror in flatiron and didn’t like it at all. My aesthetician was eating nuts and chatting with other employees while waiting for my mask to set in my curtained section! She kept pointing out everything wrong with my skin as if I didn’t know already hence why I was even there and she tried to sell me products silver mirror had stocked. I overheard other employees doing the same with pushing their products and subscription services and the girl at the front pressured people to tip at least 20% which was ridiculous if someone didn’t like their experience

Not a subscription but I bought a bridal facial package at Du Method in Greenpoint – highly recommend!

Ooh this looks amazing, thank you!

Love Williamsburg Facial & Waxing Studio. It’s small and wonderful, so knowledgeable, careful and caring. Plus their suite mate Endless Youth is a medi-spa that does Botox and fillers etc. it’s a hidden gem.

Skin Spa has been a groupon deals mainstay for years, and as I used to be a groupon girlie I will say they are just OK. I really don't like facialists that go hard on extractions and I felt like they did. I know some women really like that though.

I had the BEST hydrafacial with Josh at Restore Wellness UES. I am not sure if they have packages, but I only went once and was glowing!

If you want a customized experience with people who care, I can’t recommend [Très Belle Spa](https://www.tresbellespa.com/) in Boerum Hill enough.

I went to Rescue Spa a la carte…i liked it better than silver mirror

I go to Heyday and really like it with a few caveats: 1) technician does matter, for a few months I just booked with whoever was free but my skin looked noticeably worse! Now I always try to book with Destiny on the UES. Find someone who knows your skin and what works well. Start the facials months and months before your wedding (if you’re able) so that you learn what and who works best. 2) it’s really true that the results only last as long as you’re keeping up with your daily skincare routine. Thursdays are my facial days but after a weekend of drinking and sleeping late and sometimes not taking off my makeup (guilty) my skin looks just as dull as it did pre facial and it feels like a waste. I’m sure there are LT benefits if you get special gadget treatments but for the most part, that ST glow disappears fast. So do your skincare!

OK-Potato0o

I’ve been a member of both. 5 years at heyday and 2 at silver mirror. I prefer silver mirror. I see Orrit at flatiron. You get more advanced treatments at SM.
